Visiting during the Fasting month and just before "Buka Puasa" the atmosphere and festivities are amazing. Plenty of food vendors, musicians and traditional offerings. But I find it puzzling : why so many Turkish restaurants? & all congregating at particular areas.

lovely place for late night dinner with friends.
Very big amount of food, friendly staff. At night always crowded

Great halal place for you to grab quick meal and have coffee while you wait for your family members to finish shopping. Price point is not the cheapest in town but is relatively cheap compared to the shops in that area. Plate of rice will cost $5 and upwards.

My friends may not like this place (because it doesn't look atas enough maybe?) but their Maggi Goreng is one of the best I've had. A little sweet and spicy but I like it that way. Place has been at the same location for ages. Lots of memories.

Best Teh halia tea in town. Rated by makansutra. A dying trade where the art of mixing tea is poured at a precision and the heat n tea is consistent.

One of those places you need to visit, more for the fun and tradition than food quality, it is nice simple and you will eat well

The place for typical Malay breakfast. And surprisingly, it's quiet there around 8am. For a relaxing start with local food just head there.

Looking for a place for breakfast and this was the only place open. Great food and although the staff had limited English what we believed was the Boss helped us with our orders and we had a most enjoyable experience. The tea was a most sublime drink, we ordered two. Lovely people.

Always one of our favorite haunts whenever we are in the vicinity. Esp Love their fried chicken. Others are simply delicious as well. So go for it if you are around here. Open air casual friendly service and nice spot to watch tourists and people at this cross road junction cafe eatery is my top choice.

Don't mind the squeeze, dirt and the occasional cockroach? You'll be having a superb experience then. Kampong Glam Cafe is the last few Halal coffee shops in Singapore that has people flocking in from morning until midnight to eat, have a teh ice and chill. You'll see lots of handshakes and hugs as friends meet serendipitously, and lots of applauses as nearby resident basker churns out a surprising variety of tunes every night. Its the real kampong spirit right here.

Food is quite cheap and so is the drinks. With a late closing time perfect for the cooler nights, especially with the buskers playing live music. However I found the server to be very rude, mumbled a lot and demanded up front payment. Not a great experience for someone who just arrived into the country.
Also food never looks like what's on the menu

Malay cuisine, Nasi Padang! Decent selection of dishes. Personally would like drinks made on-the-spot but drinks here are made before-hand for efficient delivery.

An awesome supper place at the heart of Kampong Glam. You will get to see the beautiful lights shining on Sultan Mosque.

Usually would visit this place during weekends, early morning between 8-9am, together with my parents.
Best mee siam I have tried so far! 😋

My favorite food place in this area.
Full of locals and local food. Prices are cheap and servers are friendly.
I even bring dates here because the environment is nice and friendly!
Oh, only problem is that sometimes it gets really warm.

Fantastic location with great prices. Foods that cost around S$4-6 with a really local atmosphere and ambience.

a must visit cafe while you're in Kampong Glam. Especially during the night there will be street musician, and the cafe would spread some more tables on the road. Very nice!

Relaxed local spot for hangouts, simply setting, simple menu. Be warned vegans, there's hardly anything you can eat or drink here, but maybe you can try customizing a dish.

I love the ambience, the food is of affordable price and there is this malay guy who performs every night. Very entertaining!

Waited more than half hour for some lousy food and a rude staff (upper level). 1 star for the cheap price

- One thing to consider, this place is always crowded, like have no time to rest.
- Serving mostly malayan cuisine, and some indian also.

I had lontong sayur for breakfast, it is crowded with people in morning. Have only 3 choice for breakfast (mee rebus, lontong sayur and nasi lemak). Overall decent food and better come in the afternoon to have more choice in food.

Fast service and not expensive. The food is average. Better eat in afternoon or night as in daytime can be very hot (outdoor seating with no air con)
Ashish Harit (04/01/2017 15:08)
The food was very bland by indian taste!!! The chicken was not properly cooked! My indian subcontienant people pleaaase avoid this place...

Very great restaurant. Food is good and cheap. Staff friendly.

A Cosy little Muslim food coffee shop in Little Middle East. Sit down and rest your feet if you had been out exploring and have a bite of the Malay cakes with a cup of tea. Food is ok, nothing to shout about but personally I like their mee Soto (noodles in spicy chicken broth). Staff attitude varies, probably dependent on what's their mood on. But it's just a cheap eatery, not an expensive restaurant. Overall pleasant experience.

Very laid back and cool vibe café. Clientele is formed almost exclusively from locals of Malay or Indonesian descent. Snacks are tasty and coffee/tee is fantastic. A meeting point forge motorcycling crowds as well.
