My Wife suffered a miscarriage in her first term. Thanks to KK for their inexperienced Doctors. We went there multiple times and at first wanted to seek consultation for Wife pregnancy. However they misdiagnose my Wife condition for PElvis infection and hence provided loads of antibiotics. we happened to know only after a sonar scan 2 weeks after the antibiotics treatment. This hospital is now filled with students Doctors learning womens pregnant and women stds. If you don’t want to get a miscarriage, probably you have to put in more effort to know what you are doing instead of trusting the Doctors there. I am upset and probably won’t choose to go KK hospital for future pregnancies.

An important place for delivering babies. However, waiting is Long for both subsidised and private patients. They may give appointment timing but be prepared to wait an hour even if you arrive on time / early. Lots of red tape, one thing gets done at a time. Counselling service isn't very helpful, since the person can't answer a lot of questions if it crosses to different departments. Overall be prepared for Long waiting time and the fees aren't that cheap... they usually pick out very minor irregularities from the results of your test / scan and say it may be some big scary stuff, then ask you to go for additional tests (more waiting time). If you get second opinion from elsewhere they will say it is actually Not necessary.

Singapore health care is generally amazing in both quality and affordability. However, the children's emergency room at this hospital has now been a let down, twice. There is not much about this hospital that is geared towards children except some Nemo pictures and a TV screen with cartoons. Not much else is keeping pace with what top children’s hospitals are doing around the world. The waiting procedures are disorganized. Some person comes on a loud speaker and quickly mumbles a name and room number. The screen in the waiting room that is supposed to let you know where to go is rarely updated and should not be relied upon. Of course, when you are attending to a sick or injured child, the mumbling loud speaker is a puzzling way to deal with the queue. No one tells you that you shouldn't rely on the screen.
The emergency room also seems like a place for very young doctors with little experience, although admittedly my sample size is small.
Their procedures are also outdated. This last experience was sort of the icing on the cake after a previous poor experience. First, my child just turned 4 years old child and was getting stitches. They wouldn’t allow a parent to stay with him. This child was in a foreign country and surrounded by strangers in what appeared to him to be a scary environment. Never in my experience with any of my 5 children, has a children’s hospital required a parent to leave the room for such a young child and simple procedure. In fact, what children’s hospitals around the world are aware of is that children benefit from the comfort of a parent. What made the situation even more bizarre was when asked why a parent could not be there, they responded that it was policy. They could not provide a single legitimate reason. That is because there isn’t one. The space was enormous and a parent could easily sit close by without any interference, and then be there when the child wakes up from anesthesia.
The strange and outdated procedures didn’t end there. When they moved my child to the observation room, they told us that one of the parents had to leave. Again, an absolutely bizarre procedure in an area with plenty of space and specializing in the care of children. For 4 hours, as our child came out of anesthesia, he asked and cried for the parent that was not there. He was worried that something had happened to the other parent while confused and upset from anesthesia. This adds to the anxiety of the child and to the parent. Again, something that children's hospitals are better at dealing with in other parts of the world.
One other note, if you are driving. It is very confusing in the parking lot. There are signs for the emergency room, but those appear to be if you are exiting the building and want to drive back up to the emergency room entrance where there is no emergency parking. There were signs for a children't tower, but it was unclear if that was where you went for the emergency room. Again, while dealing with a young injured child and being alone, clear directions about where to go and park is simply the basics - the basics that any elite children's hospital would certainly have addressed.
There was nothing impressive about this emergency room at this hospital. Other hospitals and doctors in Singapore have seemed far superior, and have been wonderful. Singapore medicine is elite, but this emergency room is certainly not a part of that class.

Overall one of the best. Some are just plain lazy. Here’s a bunch.
Feb 9th lvl 7. 6pm to 10 pm whoever on duty check their performance for a start. You will know who to engage to bring back efficiency.

The waiting time over 4 hours! Such a shame for a super efficient country. They should seriously invest into some time tracking and traffic management to better manage supply and demand

I would agree that some nurses or attendants at Women Clinic A n C are rude and unfriendly when serving patients. Instructions given are confusing at times. Overall still a budget hospital to go with no better alternative.
However, there is Kopitiam food court here which is convenient for patients n family to have meal here. The good point is there’s free shuttle bus service provided to Novena MRT.

Waiting time is too long.
Staffs are not friendly and helpful (only 1 pax that helped to get thing done)
The worst hospital I had experienced with

Waiting time to see doctor at outpatient clinic takes almost 2 hours even though appointment time was booked in advance and reached clinic 10mins before appointment time. Was informed that it was possible to wait up to 2 hours even with appointment booked in advance.

KK woman's and Children Hospital
One of the oldest hospital in Singapore. Many of the senior citizen were delivery here during their 60' to 70's.
The hospital has been upgraded. Current carpark system particularly finding carpark lots here is like driving in the maze. There is no light indication to assist to locate available lots.
Last update Oct2017

Unlike goverment owned hospitals in some other countries, at K.K hospital, you receive a professional service. I respect and admire all doctors and nurses here who treated our children so well. Whenever any of our 3 children are treated here, we always feel so comfortable. Keep it up....

Single Go to place for kids and women health. Though the appointment is tough to get and waiting time is quite long at doctor and pharmacy, it's worth the effort and money. The doctors are quite nice and easy to talk to. They also maintain the records quite nicely in a central file.

Booking system absolutely manual. Don't put your contact online appointment form and hope they call back. It don't work this way, calling until they pickup is only way.

Best hospital for kids ever... Only need to renovate children tower A1 rooms as it's looks quite old and not A1 service but women tower side is well renovated and huge room.

I really thank every one who is working in children's emergency. After all waiting doesn't matter when your child is in real emergency. Doctor's and nurses are so busy but they are super nice and real helpful!! Thank you again.

Very long waiting time, 6 to 7.5 hours. Registerd there at 3 pm and continued to wait until 10:30 pm night to get chance to see doctor. Also, need to wait for Medicine for couple of hours. They should increase doctors and staff to serve better. Right now situation is horrible.

Very professional and dedicated service. The surgery team is closely coordinated and ensure the patients understand what to do pre & post surgery. Overall a very good hospital at an affordable rate compared to private

Doctor and nurses work like robot. Giving politically correct answer, cannot be done. Is not with in my area of scope. We can't help u in this area. A good doctor or nurses, will answer i trying to see if i can help you. Let me check and confirm with you. I understand we will try to arrange for you, or get the relavant person to contact you.

Had a bad experience 6yrs ago during my 1st pregnancy & changed hospital. Decided to try out again here on my 3rd pregnancy. Notice the change & the service has improved. Good job.

Overall it's a great experienced. It's not that bad as others described, they have good doctors, caring nurses and helpful social workers. To each individual, I would rate them 5 stars!
