Crappy over priced KEF speakers & subs in Singapore, while you can get almost 50% cheaper in UK. Bought my R700 speakers and R400b sub in cash for more than SGD 7K (yeah, this so-called cashless & championing fintech country still asks you to pay cash to avoid 3% transactions costs, I think it’s more like income tax avoidance). The R400b sub spoiled within a year and replacement doesn’t work well either. So much for this made in China overpriced crap. No more KEF for me!

They do not honor their warranty or products
My so called outdoor speakers all literally exploded
Even those I hung indoors
They know exactly what I am talking about as I returned the damage products
It’s been years and all my reminders have fallen on deaf years !!!

I was apprehensive after I read the negative review out of 2 reviews so far. In any case, I could not wait for online delivery of the KEF MUO pair of speakers via Q10 or Lazada, so i visited the shop at Adelphi, #01-18 on 12JUL17. The shop was easy to locate and the 2 sales persons were very service-oriented. One of them insisted for me to check contents of one of the speakers, besides going through the basic features and maintenance of my purchases. It was indeed a pleasant experience shopping at KEF that afternoon.

Was a bit difficult to find the place as the unit number was not stated in most communications and the shop is a bit tucked away. I've updated google map to include the correct unit number #01-01A.
Shop is relatively well furnished and has a nice bright environment to check out KEF products. It's seems like they do have a group of regular customers that occasionally hang out there on the weekends. However, the arrogance of the staff was too much to bear. Their insistence to verbally abuse and put down visitors to the store makes you wonder if they are even interested to present the brand or the products. Perhaps the team there has a game amongst themselves to see how many walk-in they can piss off or insult. Their product knowledge is not extensive and will not go beyond what you can already find in the brochure or the website.
As the owner/manufacturer/distributor of KEF products, it seems that they are not concerned that customers purchase the products from other shops like Tang's or Robinsons as consolidated sales still channel through their organization.
Given the fact that Singapore is a small city, there are really no other places for you to test out KEF products. Perhaps that's why the low service standards and the arrogance. There is really no reason to suffer such indignity if one is interested KEF products. You will be better off shipping them in yourself via offshore sources. Or alternatively buy from a brand that actually respect their customers.
