Love this place for the crab. There is so much meat that always leave you feeling very satisfied. We always order the chili crab which is my favourite.
I also like to order this chicken dish that uses chicken skin and served with squid meat at the bottom (picture below). I like this location for Jumbo as it's next to the sea and you can sit outside. Service is very good
Overall experience is great but I won't say it's a 5 star for me.

Food that we got was nice but they forgot plain rice (never came) and overall the dishes are pretty expensive for what they are. I suppose you are paying for sea view on the terrace.

Best chinese sea food I've had in Singapore so far. The chili mud crab makes you lick your fingers! The veggies are fresh, tasty, it is just absolute greatness! The service is not only professional but also very nice. Highly highly recommend to any sea food lover!

I was attending an exhibition at singapore expo when my friend brought me to this restaurant. The food was actually good. I don't really know about the price because my friend pay all the bills (God bless him!). This seaside restaurant has good vibe. Where everyone enjoying their time accompanied by good food, a big glass of beer and of course their friends, family,or colleagues. I won't forget the experience. Singapore always has it's way to made me remember my cherished time.

The Pepper crab was as dry as the waitresses personality! They didn't have the wine listed on the menu so gave us an inferior wine but charged same price. The whole experience was definitely not worth the prices they charge and would never recommend this place to anyone. Got a much better meal at Marina Bay Shopping Centre for $7.

Very good food. Jumbo is a must in Singapore. However as it is expensive this should only really be a special event dining. This might not be the best place for kids as eating chili crab is messy and having kids might be a annoyance. It's a great place for Singapore most prestiged food and also offers great views

There is always a crowd here and this speaks volumes for this successful seafood restaurant. Table waiting is prompt but lately becoming impersonal. The quality of food and preparation is still very good but the restaurant has lost some of its 'wow' factor. This said, the oyster omelette is still the best around.

A really decent restaurant to eat at with family or friends. The quality of the food is quite good, and the service there was rather fast and pleasant. It is located in East Coast Park, which means after a wonderful day out at this long stretch of park, you can pop over to Area E To eat at this place. Of course, please note that this place may be quite crowded on weekends and holidays, as it has been recommended and reviewed by many famous food reviewers before. Furthermore, as an additional bonus, they provide free WiFi.
The only downside is that the price may be a little high, but it is worth it for the quality and taste of the food served at this seafood restaurant.

Expensive - the crab was very average for the price - my son had sweet and sour chicken which frankly looked nicer and much cheaper

Oh yes, best ever sea food I had... We had great time there. I loved the pepper crab! Just too cold inside.

Food was amazingly good and seasoned well. Good place to experience Singapore iconic chilli and salted egg crab. However, nearby to airport extremely packed. Thus, reservations are required for around dinner time (6 to 8 pm).
ISHANI BASAK (05/10/2017 13:21)
The food is delicious. The staff is courteous but the service during rush hour is not up to the mark. Dinner time always sees a large crowd. But the ambience is great.
Eng Ann Lee (04/10/2017 22:47)
One of the best place for chilli crab in Singapore and with nice view. Normally quite crowded with tourists and local. Place for business to bring clients there for dinner.
Ranajoy Roy (16/09/2017 07:00)
Love the chilly pepper crabs. Restaurant has a factory mentality. pls don't expect great service by waiters. Great food.
Ian Zafra (26/08/2017 05:50)
This place will not disappoint! Better view than the one at Clark Quay. Order the cereal prawns and black pepper crab instead of the chili crab. Perfect match with Tiger beer
Zuzi Wayne (19/08/2017 03:38)
Great seafood in great location. Reasonable price and great variety of dishes. Nor2rather busy but worth the wait.
Kenny Huen (12/08/2017 05:47)
Both food n service quality dropped. Especially the service, may be foreign worker not well trained. Restaurant still crowded.
Rannajoy Roy (23/07/2017 23:43)
Always a pleasure to be here and devour some good sea food. Service by the usher at the entrance was very poor and also sad to see they have shark fin on the menu. Black pepper crab is a must try.
Ajita Chowhan (06/07/2017 06:15)
The iconic crab must go in Singapore. It is always busy here so know that you must make reservations or be ready for a long wait. The food does do justice to the hype. Well connected on bus routes and and with Taxis.
Foo Lai Choo (18/06/2017 09:10)
The only thing worth coming here is the great view in the evening. The food is average but the service left a sour taste for my family. The plates and bowls, being left out in the open for a while, are dirty and our few requests for a change were all forgotten. Any other requests throughout the dinner were brushed away by the overworked employees. This place is huge but obviously understaffed.
I will not travel all the way here for seafood as there are better options with competitive prices elsewhere.
Benjamin Mogensen (04/06/2017 04:32)
We had a great dinner here together with friends. The sticks with chicken and pork and the satay (?) tasted really really good. Of course the chili crab was absolutely amazing. Small buns both steamed and baked to slack up the chili sauce, wow!! Definitely a repeater!
Gary Buckmaster (19/05/2017 01:46)
Very popular with the tourists, lots of seating and good food but is definitely not the best seafood to be found in Singapore. The chili crab, although famous, is a poor comparison to some of the more local haunts. Its a good place to take overseas visitors who are a little cautious about their food, but if you want the real deal, this isn't it.
Mount Zion Christian Books (15/04/2017 13:59)
One of the better seafood chains in Singapore. Unrivaled for freshest and largest crabs, lobsters and crabs. On the beach. Can get very crowded on weekends. Reasonable prices for their quality and great service.
ferry Wijaya (15/04/2017 10:56)
Great seafood by the beach.... my family love it here.... it's just quite far away from the Orchard city centre... and sometimes it is hard to find taxi
Jasmine Seah (14/04/2017 00:21)
This outlet is particularly popular with visitors to Singapore - the service is consistently good and the wait between placing your order and your food reaching your table is reasonable. The chili crab and black pepper crab are must-haves, though the salted egg yolk crab is just average (if you're a fan of salted egg dishes this is nothing to write home about). Though there are many other places in Singapore that serve excellent seafood at more modest prices, this is the place I head to for fuss-free seafood dining. I really like that it is spacious and the bathrooms are clean. The queue is long so arrive early if you want to get a table! It rained when I was last here and the staff quickly moved every one who was seated outdoors into a sheltered area; due to the rainy season they prudently didn't fill all the indoor tables. Plus points!

As usual, Jumbo didn't disappoint in terms of the food quality and selection. First time at the East Coast branch, and hosted out of town guests for dinner on a Monday night. Place was packed (def need reservations). Must def order the chilli crab (with deep fried mantou), coffee pork ribs, deep fried baby squid, and deer meat. Cereal prawn (with oats) was something new and unique for the guests. Will definitely come back. A little pricey but worth it if you can afford it.
Ted Zhang (11/03/2017 07:54)
Fantastic service and chilli crab was delicious. Black pepper crab was a little too buttery but still very very nice. Other dishes we ordered were all of great quality. Do not know what all the negative reviews here are on about.
Josh McMahon (04/03/2017 15:26)
One of the best chili/pepper crab places in Singapore. I love the chili crab sauces but prefer the pepper crab taste. Service is good, although the staff doesn't have great English.
Giovanni Cheng (08/02/2017 08:39)
The place is always crowded with loads of customers. Waiting time was pretty long at night for dinner. The food was pretty good but it could be better if it was hotter. The place was clean and service wasn't bad despite being so crowded. Definitely have to eat the crabs here. It's a top recommendation here, as with many other kinds of seafood!
Corrie Davidson (03/02/2017 22:57)
Known for their chili crab (locals will tell you the black pepper crab is better but I preferred the chilicrab) this location overlooks the water and is always packed so make a reservation. My favorite bite was the cereal crusted prawns. You are going to get messy so ask for extra wipes.
Alex Scott (26/01/2017 03:01)
Delicious crab. Pepper and Chili were both great. Pretty interesting vibe but all part of the experience. Really like the lazy susans in the middle of every table.
Bryan Stewart (05/01/2017 18:10)
Enjoyable place to eat and enjoy the view. Went with large group of people and the chili crab was excellent. The view was nice and staff was very attentive.
Matthew Hardman (27/10/2016 00:19)
A lot of people look to this place as a cultural icon to try Singaporean seafood such as the famous Chili Crab. There are two levels, upstairs which is air conditioned, and separated from the hustle and bustle, and downstairs which is open air, and more the feel of what eating seafood in a semi market experience would be like. Jumbo is ok, but I wouldn't say its the best in Singapore, there are definitely better places for food, but with the view its not bad. Beware that with the view you will pay for a price-ier meal.
Pascal Cabos (20/09/2016 10:58)
Amazing place! Best seafood there is in Singapore. It's always fresh and the food is served very quickly. Do come a bit earlier though, as it gets very crowded at the usual dinner time.
Bang Youn Hwang (18/08/2016 09:41)
The first time I went to Jumbo it was amazing. However it seems the quality is dipping everytime especially this east voast one. I think the portions are getting significantly smaller as well.
Antonio de Abreu (30/07/2016 20:50)
Absolutely fantastic & fresh seafood. It's said by locals that this is an expensive place to eat but if you coming from the UK, Europe or US you will find the food very reasonably priced & oh so delicious. This is a place I will come to again for sure.
Darren Lyons (17/07/2016 05:38)
Reasonable crab quality but value isn't great. Efficient and quick service.
Julian S (23/06/2016 19:49)
Been eating here for years as I live nearby. Standards have definitely dropped as their popularity grew. Understaffed. Wouldn't recommend it.

Fancy seafood? This is the best palce in town to enjoy it. Plus, located beside the beach it's a wonderful place to enjoy the scenery while ea

Having enjoyed a Chilli Crab dinner some years ago we decided to repeat the experience on this last trip to Singapore on 16th April 2016. We took a taxi to the East Coast branch and ordered Chili Crab. During the meal my wife noticed that her claw tasted and smelled strange. We called the waitress who smelled the item, winced, said nothing, but replaced the claw. We were presented the full table #702 bill of S$150.89 (2 persons!!) despite our mention to the cashier Mee Ces Un of the issue.
The following day my wife's suffered symptoms of food poisoning and severe stomach upset and fever which ruined our only one full day in Singapore en route back to Australia..
There is a lot of pressure to buy at this restaurant which is part of their culture. However we feel much more care needs to be taken by Jumbo Management to ensure at the crab purchasing, reception, cooking and serving points to detect such defects. Jumbo Seafood has a process defect that cannot ensure a quality product. The price they charge demands such scrutiny.
After all Jumbo are the experts and should deliver excellence which they did not. The lack of English by some staff should not be used to ignore serious customer service issues such as this. The recommended "Long Beach" is next door and will receive our next visit.
I found no email address on the web so I might have been able to take up this issue with management.

Great black pepper crab, cereal prawns, chili crab, mee goreng, satay, and my favorite version of sootong youtiao (fried dough filled with squid paste) in Singapore. And pitchers of beer!
Milo Pepper (15/11/2015 06:05)
Great food but pricey. I love the chilli crab (don't forget to order the bun), black pepper crab, steam the bamboo clam, mocha ribs and salted egg golden prawn.
It's packed especially during dinner time, make sure you call and make reservation.
