The food wasn’t that good. I got the veggie burger and was quite disappointed. No taste and rather dry. Service was ok. The store itself has a nice selection of imported Italian goods including nice cheeses. Very pricey though! You’ll pay an arm and a leg for what you buy.
Please work out your menu. Wouldn’t recommend unless you didn’t have anywhere else to go.

Good ambience.
Friendly waiter who patiently went away when we were not ready to order and came mid-meal to check that we are ok.
Good food. Eggs cooked perfectly with a good helping of smoked salmon.
Food was served quite fast. There were three of us and the food came together. No awkwardness of waiting for each other’s food to arrive.

Terrible service with below average food at best. Service was unfriendly and ignorant. My friend and I waited to be seated as per the sign stated at the entrance. After waiting for a good 10minutes(in which a couple of staff kept walking past us without acknowledging our presence), one of the staff finally came over BUT completely ignored us and went to welcome a family of expats that came AFTER us. It was so obvious we were there before them and yet the staff looked right past my friend and I, and immediately rushed the family to a table without a second glance at us. I had to step in and tell one of them that we needed a table before we were finally given a table outdoors, in which nobody offered us the menu after. I had to head into the cafe and take the menu myself. Food and drinks also took forever to come after. Ridiculous place. Avoid at all cost.

Nice set up but is for up market. Good selection of wine, cheese, snacks with some grocery stuff. Coffee is good but food is quite expensive. Should expect to spend S$30 and above for a simple meal and drink.

I was very appalled at the service of one of the waiter this morning. When I was entering the restaurant with an overseas guest, I saw that all the waiters were busy serving customers and took the liberty to seat ourselves despite there was a sign indicating for customers to wait to seated.
After maybe 10 minutes, I signalled a waiter to ask for the menu with a smile on my face only to be greeted grumpily. He told me rather rudely that there reason I did not receive the menu was because I should have read the sign. I then said that since there were tables and everyone was busy I thought it was ok. He then repeated again grumpily that I should read the sign and there was a reason for it to be there! Throughout the next 2 minutes, he brought out this ‘not reading the sign’ issue 2 more times and already showing displeasure.
Despite the fact that I have not adhered to instructions to wait to be seated, I do believe that I do not deserved to be treated this way.
I am disappointed with their service level and will never visit Jones again.

The cafe is very pretty though slightly stuffy and warm during hot weathers. Because of the large interior, it might take a while to get the attention of a waiter. Service is otherwise fast. Food is decent with a good range of options. Only disappointment was the Sticky date pudding!

My favourite Jones in Singapore. It has a comfortable and rusty ambience which feels warm and comfortable as compared to the one at Mandarin Gallery. The food is fresh and always up to quality as well as the service, very friendly. I also love the display of grocers here. And the cheese room. Yes, it is a must go-see of the walk in cheese room if you are a cheese lover.

Very nice place to have a meal. Servers are friendly and the food is great. Open for dining for breakfast to dinner. Besides dining, there's a wide selection of groceries.

Nice food. Nice ambience. Quietly tucked away in Dempsey. Sells a selection of cold cuts and cheese on top of a menu of starters, mains and desserts.

Bathrooms...super dirty. Came here to work, wifi wouldn't even connect. Food is so-so. Great place to come for a quick coffee or to do some grocery shopping for cheeses etc. Not much else! Good thing they call it "Jones the Grocer" and not Jones the Restaurant...

At Jones the Grocer in Great World City, Singapore; if you're looking for value for money, decent service, good food and to actually get what you ordered, DO NOT COME HERE.
Had lunch a sandwich, bacon & eggs, and a coffee here for S$60. Felt disappointed and cheated with the food quality and portion size. Went for something else to eat after that. The menu description was so appetising - the actual product was less to be desired. False advertising

Not the best service on crowded weekend. Bought some beverage to go, so happen tripped and had a cut, requested for a handiplast, zero effort in trying to check (would think restaurants have first aid kit) and straight "no we don't have". Won't ask for it if it weren't bleeding.. plus side beverage service was fast though despite being crowded. Coffee more on acidic side, ice chocolate is the Hersey's taste

I love the space, the food is great here, mostly western dishes, a great variety of condiments, wines, juices, bread, cheese selection. Can't go wrong here.

Had the Jones club sandwich. Was looking forward to the spiced chicken but it was more chicken mayo. Too much mayo, couldn't taste the gruyère. Fries were room temperature, would have preferred them to be hot. Great drink, which was the apple mango peach juice. Lovely, spacious ambience.

This is a very nice spot for breakfast.. one of the few restaurants in Dempsey that open quite early..their croissant is quite nice and they have got some good stuff in the store as well.

The service can definitely be slightly improved. The food was OKish. Or maybe I just ordered the wrong food, spanish platter.

Ordered the Platter via Honestbee.. opened the box and everything was mashed. probably the delivery person didn't handle it carefully. Food Quality; Great. Quantity; pretty small compared to the SGD 40.00 price tag.

There is a wide selection of breads and other goods to buy. The place feels very comfortable with the high ceilings. The staff is easy going and friendly

Used to be my fave place for breakfast but today the Egg Benedict was overcooked. Jones replaced it with a good one within 15 minutes though.

Friendly, creative staff, good food at a reasonable price. Always love the (create your own) platter! I always ask the staff to "fill in the gaps", and the result has always been good.

Seated fast due to reservation, but The wait was long after ordering, food took 35mins to arrive. and the steak was burnt on the surface more than just a few places. Ordered medium-well. Never gotten a burnt one before. But service staff were friendly.

Terrible service. Waited for quite a bit despite a number of available tables. Basically none of the stuff has responsibility for welcoming the guests. Forgot half of our food. Was complete mess. Not to say that trying to buy some cheese inside was nightmare because nobody was at the selling point. Needed to run around to find a person

Good value for money. Tasty and healthy food at reasonable prices. Very peaceful and cooling to sit outside. Friendly staff.
Cleanliness level (in Singapore standards) is 4.5/5.
Something to improve: not clear if I can take a seat myself or should wait to be seated.

Didn't get to go inside, but sitting you down at a table then not even checking in for an order for 15 minutes is not cool. Funnier yet, when I went to the waiter station to give that feedback nobody would turn around to see what I wanted?

Food is quite good but service needs to be improved. Especially if you are sitting outside. The best way is to take rhe menu yourself and order at the counter. Sitting at the table will not get served.

Your standard western fare in Dempsey Hill, Singapore - a neighborhood frequented by expats and families. Expect to pay $18+ for egg dishes. Outdoor seating with chairs or couches (and most importantly, ceiling fans) are available and the restaurant cum grocer is dog friendly.

Mainly for those residing in Singapore
This place serves a good selection of foods as long as you have an open mind to just get up and choose ... just sitting and using the menu isn't the way to go. Its a relaxed place away from the crowds though as Singapores population continues to increase then so does the 'body traffic' at these places.
When this place first opened it was usually busy with the expat wives killing their days. As time has gone on the crowd has grown wider with locals and all nationalities using for a 'casual' food spot.
Don't come here expecting a restaurant as its more a cafe and shop but serving breakfasts, snacks, lunch, drinks and dinner bites - reasonably priced if you live in Singapore
Service can be hit and miss
Its a good spot if you don't want a full restaurant and instead, again if you are asia based, want to enjoy a good selection of cheese and meat cuts with a reasonable wine.
Their walk-in cheese cold room has a great selection of cheese and should satisfy many - choose a bottle of read and sit outside for a relaxed afternoon
Only downsides are service ... though figure its a very casual place and enjoy the outdoors and it works out a good deal

Can be more efficient with handling the queue. Get a ticketing system or sms service. Spacious place but limited seats.

Worst service ever, using plastic drinking tumblers for serving drinks, not only that, the tumblers have cracks like they have exceeded their useful life. Not only that, I noticed my drinks were served in plastic tumblers while the other tables got the drinking glass in real glass! For heaven's sake, why are you guys discriminating your customers!!!
I am giving 1 star because the food is not bad at all.

Easily the worst service in Singapore. It has been this way consistently for the last 5 years. They don't care to fix it... And they won't. Just don't go there. Culina is right across the street and they put Jones to shame.
