Great place to enjoy seafood. Really recommend the c set if your interested in trying a variety of food. It comes with the well known crab dip and sea bass.

The seafood taste standard has dropped lately, although perhaps still along the crest in town. The spot feels a bit cramped and messy. Hope there will be some renovation soon.

Bad Service and bad value. Ordered 4 dishes. They all came out staggered. The last one which we were told was 10 mins away was my entree which we ended up cancelling. Baby squid was some tiny crunchy indescribable concoction. All you could taste was fish sauce. Two lamb chops at $16 each with nothing but a bit of sauce was ridiculous. The price of alcohol was also ridiculous. No way could you stay there and while away a few hours enjoying the river. Unfortunately as a Travel Agent from Australia I will definitely not recommend this restaurant to my clients

Great food but pricey, I suggest to go China Town station and there there is a street food with high quality food :)

The chilli crab was very delicious! Definitively worth to visit 👏👏👏 very friendly service. We had an Reservation and don't have to wait to be served.

The food is too good but the person who served the food was too bad lot of drops of food on the table bad server

Delicious delicious delicious chili crab and that fried bread to sop up the sauce with is soooo good. The black pepper short rib beef served in its own little wok melts like butter in your mouth. Yum 😋

Perhaps the best budget seafood restaurant in Singapore. If you don't have reservations, expect que. Very busy. Nice Riverside location.

Kelvin Tong (05/02/2018 14:01)
Food is amazing there, although you gotta expect a loud and crowdy atmosphere. We did our booking at 730 and they did mention that we need to return table at 9pm. They will politely ask you to return the table at 9pm sharp. Don't go there if you wanted a nice long dinner. Chilly Crab is the best dish for sure!! The sauce is amazing with the deep fried buns and rice.

The food here was excellent, I would rate it 4.5/5, especially for the Chili Crab. The reason I have not, is purely because of the service.
The service staff were stiff, inattentive and mechanical. We had to try and call for their attention many times, and I don't think I saw them smile once!
It was almost like we, the guests, were intruding on them. It was not a particularly busy night either (Monday evening).
In saying that, it wasn't a complete disaster; in some areas they were quite good, for example they would top up our tea and would bring us a fresh pot when he had run out.

All as expected. Definitely go back.

We’d been to the other one in Clarke Quey, which had terrible service, but the food was good so decided to give the sister location a try.

Everyone was very friendly and professional. The only real complaint is that they literally give you a time deadline (displayed on a card on your table) by which time you need to vacate the table for the next reservation. Reckon this is required because the place is so busy.

I had the scallops and broccoli - FANTASTIC! Everyone else had the Chili Crab and seafood fried rice, and all thumbs up!

We didn’t know, so had the regular crab, but you can also order the Chili Crab with King Crab. A lot bigger, but from experience, not as flavorful as the smaller cousins.

Overall a wonderful experience.

I ate pepper crab at there. It was really nice so I liked it. I really want to recommend this restaurant.
But when you go there, you probably have to wait long time. Because that restaurant is very famous.
I waited 1 our at there. But it was very fantastic. I love Jumbo Seafood!!!!!

Roohshad Garda (17/11/2017 21:34)
The chilli crab is to die for. Order the Singaporean crab instead of the imported ones, they are a tiny bit smaller, but won't burn a hole in your pocket.
DO NOT miss out on ordering the buns (I had 18 of them), they are quintessential!!!

Vivian How (14/11/2017 13:41)
Have received excellent service from the crew. They are attentive and go extra mile to make customer experience better. Would definitely recommend to others to try it
Especially thanks to the staff Li jung and team to serve us. Just a look to them , they will know u r in need of help
Keep it up the good work.

The delicious chilly crab and good service in the nice atmosphere

Fadhli Syamaun (08/11/2017 13:23)
Nice place to eat seafood and it seems always full with tourist.. price is a bit high according to my Songaporean friend. most of people order chili crab as favorite dish. And i enjoy it as well. The place is always crowded and reservation in advance is recommended.

Ronrapee Leelawong (19/10/2017 23:14)
Good seafood restaurant.

Seafood here is very fresh. The taste is also yummy.
Servers are all good, though they’re not seem so smiley but very helpful.
We went with our 2.5yr old kid... they even gave us a little crab doll!

Still the best dish is chilli crab!

The price may be expensive... but it’s worthy once in awhile.

Daddy Dave (12/09/2017 02:58)
What a disappointment 😔 staff were obviously not well trained. We ordered two mains dishes and they arrived 15 mins apart. Staff tried to get us to pay cash stating the card machines were down but when I refused they took the card payment. They only had two staff taking payments the rest of the staff just delivered food or cleaned up.

Food was ok but over priced. They offer you tea and some peanuts but don't tell you that they will charge you for them

Restaurant owners/management need to.make staff changes and this could be a great place.

Eirc Wu (09/09/2017 01:21)
The crab is very juicy. The quality of seafood is awesome. But price is quite expensive.

jasp tan (02/09/2017 16:11)
Was there on mother's day. Is way too small for a table. Beside our table they have a stack of chairs which the staff keep moving in and out for the reach of chairs. Really noisy very very bad to be place there. You book a table and told the staff for aircon area in the end they told you they are no tables. Staffs are unfriendly. Never book a table when they is a holiday. Walking space too narrow. Food not bad. Carbs are great.

Jeric Bryle Dy (01/09/2017 05:50)
I came here at lunch time. They're always in a hurry to clear the table, which irritates me. Food is not bad, but the sauce for chili crab is too little.

david ng (10/07/2017 04:13)
Have not been Jumbo for years and the Chilli crabs standard still maintain as good as before.
However this place seems to become for tourist eater. Price definitely much higher than other seafood restaurant. 3 Chilli crabs cost us $210 for it. The rest of the dish was just normal dish that you can found in normal Zhi char restaurant . Salted egg crab definitely can give a miss for it unless you want to try it.

alex awesome (03/07/2017 15:48)
Lovely food and experience. Food was so good that I forgot most my belongings. Luckily, the staff were kind enough to contact me. Ever so greatful.

Nitchanan Kangwolkij (15/06/2017 15:47)
Despite being a touristy place, it's still considered one of the best seafood places in Singapore. The food quality and taste are reliable. The chilli crab with fried bao never disappointed me. I also like the salted egg shrimps, crispy baby squids and bamboo clams. Don't forget to try aloe + lemon drink as well! The place is always crowded, so don't expect so much about the service quality. But, overall experience was worth it.

Yoong Daren (10/06/2017 11:10)
Iconic Singaporean Chilli Crab at a great location next to Singapore River. Come here in the evenings for good views and decent food. It can be pricey as this is a popular tourist attraction. Came here with my family

Gomer Aquino (07/05/2017 14:51)
We stopped in to Jumbo without a reservation after a long day of exploring Singapore. We were seated pretty quickly but were stationed near a server prep area. When we asked to move a little bit further away, we were told that was the only table available.

The staff was not especially friendly or attentive and the menus were dropped off with little to no explanation about specials or recommended dishes. We ordered two crab dishes which took quite a while to arrive and were just okay. When the bill arrived, we quickly learned we probably would have been better off having ordered one of the evening specials given the market price of our meal, but our waiter never suggested that when we ordered.

The bathrooms were not very clean and the overall vibe of the place felt very much like an assembly line staffed by disinterested high school students. It’s fair to say we left feeling ignored and overcharged. You can do much better than Jumbo for dinner in Singapore.

Tieu Khanh Long (03/05/2017 12:14)
Delicious crab menu. Always fully book. Late arrival after 9pm is less waiting time to have available seats.

Carrie Lam-Chin (11/04/2017 13:32)
The famous chilli crab is soooooo tasty! Slightly a bit pricey but the restaurant at the heart of Clark Quay is so convenient for off work gathering! The crab it's a must order meal and to go with the fried bun. Will definitely go back again but recommend to RSVP in advance. 🦀🦀🦀

Nitin Sharma (02/04/2017 21:36)
Amazing place to try sea food. They have sitting outside next to river. Beautiful ambiance and tasty food. Service is fast. Staff is friendly and well behaved.

Leonardo Tommy Dacu (01/03/2017 00:41)
Good taste for chilli crab. Recomended. But pricey

Alex Chan (26/02/2017 12:01)
Fresh and tasty seafood as always. Waiting usually not as crazy as the other Jumbo stores. Nonetheless the location is very central and easy to walk to Clarke Quay for activities after meals.

Having chili crab for the first time, I decided to go to one of the best. I'm assuming I just don't care much for the dish. It's basically just crab in a glorified spicy ketchup. Not bad, but also not something I'll ever need to have again.

I also didn't care much for the golden phoenix chicken. It's actually not chicken at all, but rather the skin from chicken pasted on top of slices of fish cake. Didn't do much for me.

JUMBO Seafood is where it all began. Our most prominent brand, had humble beginnings in 1987. Operating from a single outlet (now our flagship restaurant) in East Coast Seafood Centre, the restaurant soon gained a loyal following, capturing the hearts of local and overseas gastronomes with its fresh seafood cooked to perfection. With its Singapore Chilli Crab and Black Pepper Crab as the “star dishes”, its reputation grew, as did the number of outlets 、。。

素晴らしいお店である、。。

Delicious seafood restaurant. It seems to be the most well known place to get the best chili crab. Aside from the famous chili crab, I also tried the pepper crab, which I have to say, I enjoyed a lot. Possibly just a touch more than I enjoyed the chili crab.

If you have the time, must try (and book at least a week in advance!)

Please note that it's not the cheapest, we ordered two crabs and a bunch of other dishes, and it was about $50 per person. Totally worth it though!

Aldo Panjaitan (17/10/2016 07:39)
Great chili crab indeed! The other food also worth to try .... Get ready to be messy..😉😄

Laura García Gómez (20/09/2016 05:19)
The chilli crab is just amazing, it´s a bit pricy but the crabs never been cheap :)

William Wong (28/08/2016 10:46)
Visitors to Singapore should try its world famous chili crab. The crabs were meaty and the gravy was super delicious. The Man Tou (buns) were nicely done, soft and fried to a golden colour. Dipped in the gravy, they tasted awesome. The whole piece of braised abalone that comes with two pieces of broccoli by the side was praiseworthy. However, the scallop in yam ring tasted just so so. A seating area is provided for the long wait (for up to two hours). Jumbo Seafood is a public listed company with five outlets in Singapore.

Suan Yeo (14/07/2016 12:08)
Best place in Singapore to have crab. A little pricey but you pay for quality. I had both chilli and pepper crab. They do serve the fried man tou (buns) with it. Oatmeal prawns and bamboo clams were excellent too. It's a long wait so either go early or make a reservation.

Martin Arnold (09/07/2016 08:09)
Great food, famous for the chilli crab. Can get very pricy

marcelo adolfo (10/06/2016 23:07)
Best chilli crab ever in Singapore. There are tables inside and outside, but outside is too hot.

Jason Adams (22/05/2016 10:44)
Great food as I'm sure you've heard. The staff at this location is friendly and like a well oiled machine. You get 1.5 hours to eat on one reservation and they make sure you have a great experience in that time.

Held our birthday celebration this afternoon (Table 12). Chose the Father's Day set meal. The dishes were superb! The steamed prawn! The chilli crab! The fried rice! Even the buns were outstandingly good! Wow!!! The service? Very attentive and courteous! They made sure we have a clean plate all the time! 👍👍👍👍👍😋

Eddie Sit (08/01/2016 09:41)
Went as a group of 9 and was pleased. Service was not bad and food was great. Pleasantly surprised that food was not touristy grade.

Crabs were amazing, personally love the black pepper and salt & pepper ones over the chili version. Other Chinese / Cantonese dishes were also quite nice.

A bit on the pricey side and time block 1hr 45min (not sure if it's on peak day only) was a bit short though food came super fast.
