Briyani rice is bland. Meat of the mutton isn’t that fantastic. The cucumber smells bad. Ambience of the place still not so bad, but small. Isn’t the best place for briyani. My mutton briyani cost me SGD11. I don’t think it’s worth the price.

Small but well maintained historic restaurant for halal food. They charged me S$ 10 for Chicken Biriany.
Price seems little bit higher.

Still very good after all these years, but admittedly no longer as stellar as it was pre 1990s. I'd say it's still ahead of the competition in taste, texture and value for money. Definitely way better than for example, Bismillah Biryani, which charges insanely high prices yet serves a one note spiced (the black pepper hits you like a ton of bricks) biryani with mushy, broken rice, fatty, dry, chewy meat and just a tasteless, watery raita with scant, micro green flecks which may or may not be coriander or mint. I'll stick with Islamic. Thank you.

Good restaurant. Less space. Amazing Biryani. But the quantity of the food is not consistent. They serve less and takeaway is more.

Best Dum Biryani I ever had. I like the mutton flavour the best. Sometimes you get a lot of meat, sometimes not so much, luck of the draw. You can buy an extra rice with sauce if you need it. Aircon is very weak inside but lots of fans. A good selection of side dishes, the sweet tomato and squid are both really good. They have some really cool old pictures on the walls. I love the double picture of the former owner. On the right hand side he looks disciplined and thin, on the left he is heavier and looks more fun loving.
