Decent atmosphere however the ice creams are definately good.
Recommend their Kaya Lotee. They have other fun flavours to try too.
Waffles and Mix In are also available.

A small cafe with variety of ice-cream. can accommodate up to 40 people comfortably. Outdoor and indoor.

The ice cream is reasonably priced, it has a great texture and comes in a variety of flavours. Mix-ins are plentiful and the milkshakes are great.

Mao Shan Wang ice cream was packed in mini plastic tubs. Found that a really nice gesture and the ice cream was real good (durian)

The ice creams were good, but the waffles were a little disappointing as the batter is quite tasteless albeit being crispy.
A classic scoop is $3.80 while premium scoop requires a $1 top up. There's really only a few classic flavours, so if you're buying multiple scoops like my case, it can be quite confusing trying to identify which is the premium and classic as the labelling isn't very clear.
Unlike many ice cream/dessert parlors available these days who offer wide array of ice cream pairings (cakes, coffee, flavoured waffles, crepe) Ice cream chef doesn't offer as much selection (think they have brownie, waffles and ice cream mixing) making it less attractive for patrons to specially head down to Sembawang just to have it.
Nonetheless, the service staff are quite patient and friendly!

Our taste and expectation for premium ice cream is raising. Compare to many ice-cream parlors, the ice cream taste is not exceptional and the lack of decor doesn't help them either. Only good for dessert if you happen to be around there and don't want to travel far.
