This hotel is perfect for person who want a hotel near bus station, the bus station located in front of hotel. The hotel also near with velocity & novena square about 5 minutes by walk

A good hotel for Indonesians like me. The place is integrated with buses to the city and also it's (not-so) near with MRT Station in Novena. Although the hotel doesn't serve Halal foods, but it's very nice to stay in here.

Room is big nice and clean with good view . Nice shower facility . Just directly outside is a bustop easy access to newton and novena station

Location is great, right outside the lobby is the bus stop to orchard, clark quay and cbd. Rooms are well maintained. Service is fast and responsive

A nice accommodation option at Newton Road in Singapore. Its quite expensive if you book a room at the counter so look online for any discounted offers (look for websites which gives you best of price).
Has a pool and good restaurant. Rooms are spacious and have complimentary coffee and tea. Spacious bathroom with hair-dryer and bathroom kits as well. Need to iron your clothes for a meeting, look for an iron in the closet.
Ask for a room with good view. I requested for the top-most floor and got one with a good view. Is near to Netwon Metro Station (10 mins walk from there) and is not so far from some sites to be visited in Singapore.
With some claiming about a little rather rude employees at Reception, I think language barrier and cultural barrier can make that feel. Yet smiling employees are always better than irritated ones.

Excellent service, big rooms as compared to other hotels. Good price. I got a great deal from agoda. Bus stop just infront the door. Direct bus to Marina Bay stand. Newton food center at walking distance with verity of food. MRT also near by. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Good place. Rooms are clean and big. Daily housekeeping.
They don't provide free breakfast for the family room's third person. Should pay additional.

Despite advertising themselves as a 4 star hotel, they were anything but. When we arrived, we were told that our rooms might not be available due to certain foreign guests extending their stay. This was entirely unacceptable to us as we had booked our rooms weeks prior. After insisting and arguing, they finally gave us upgraded rooms at the neighboring Royal Residences. Don't expect a 4 star experience, it is at best 3 stars, at worst, 2 stars.

The are positioning themselves as 4 star hotel, but in fact can’t even give you 3 star service. Hotel is old. Rooms are quite big but everything inside outdated. The checking time is after two PM and they won’t let you in before even if room is available. Staff is not really friendly. They mess up with payment and charge me twice. So If you are not for budget option - stay somewhere else. Also breakfasts are not included.

Entering this hotel was an experience, the decor is really old and you feel you are time traveling to a couple of decades ago. Nice staff but terrible hygiene. The room furniture had a modern taste but there were handprints all over the place and a musty smell which was almost unbearable. The sheets were humid and not comfortable. Breakfast was to run away from, clearly not adapted to western taste (the only available sources of protein were deep-fried). The location is far from the centre but has a nice food court nearby. Do not stay here.

Usually busy with Asian tour groups and sometime families . Very conveniently located in the heart of the city and easy to get around .

The setting was nice for the afternoon evening we had. Concierge staff were decent, but I can tell they are sometimes overwhelmed by the guests. That said, they try to go above and beyond the call of service. Location is not too bad, but it is still a distance from the Novena MRT, although a bus stop directly in front of the hotel helps a lot too.

Hotel room is nice clean and comfortable. Aircond kept switched on when you are out ensuring when you return is nice and cooling.
However they have a nasty habit of switching off an elevator during peak hours, ie in the morning breakfast rush hour.
Complimentary parking is a plus.

Receptionist staffs are slow and not friendly. Room very spacious and nice. Housekeeping very friendly and helpful

The food at the chinese restaurant is superb. Waitress serving was friendly as well. The experience made up for the not as good sound system in the restaurant, and also club hostess smoking in the 2nd floor toilet.

Hotel Royal is very accessible, being a short walk from Novena Station, and right next to a bus stop. The rooms are tidy, if a bit bare. Internet access is available only via wifi; there is no LAN point. The service staff are friendly, but not very proactive. Over-all, a pleasant stay at very reasonable cost.

Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and had no problems being understood. Didn't use restaurant.
Good location and was ideal for the couple of days we were in Singapore before going a cruise.

Staff not so friendly. There was a water leak in the room so we had to change the room. They knew about the leak but they still allocated the room with wet carpet after requesting they upgraded us to a family room. Cleaners do not vaccum. Carpets are dirty and smelly!
No good ventilation in the rooms!!
Hotel is always filled with noisy tourists ( mostly from mainland China- no offense sorry)
Buffet breakfast was terrible- no variety no options for vegetarians!
There were bed bugs in the rooms!!!! Way below 4 star standards! We only booked this hotel as the location is good but regretted it later.
No ventilation in the bathroom.

No halal food served during breakfast. All you can have is the toast. Hotel should atleast inform guess before booking or atleast offer halal food service. There are shops walking distance to the hotel if you need halal food. Internet is ok.

Our check in time was 3pm .but we were accomodated well before.
Room is nice and clean.
Spacious
Nice front office staff.
Manager Richard and a trainee.
Both were good.
Room had all necessary items
Check in was very easy and fast
Definitely recommend.

Stayed for two weeks from August 20 to September 2, 2016. Everything clean and room very spacious.
Laundry is excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.
Excellent walking location to all amneties, 5 minutes walk to Orchard Street
I will come again anytime.

Rooms are well maintained and cozy. Breakfast Buffett is perfect. Bad side is pool is small and no spa. In addition, staff is not friendly.

Hotel is cheap with nice rooms, no free water in the fridge, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, expensive Wi-Fi, laundromat closed due to renovations and hotel dry cleaning too expensive. Overall not too bad for the price but will go elsewhere next time

Don't let the worn down exterior affect your judgement about this hotel. It's room is quite comfortable and clean. It's quite worth the money.

Excellent hotel. The staff was very friendly.excellent facilities and the check in , check out was also very fast. The manager was also very friendly and she allowed an early check in for us. The room attendant "lily"was also very friendly. The décor of the renovated rooms was also fantastic. Big and spacious rooms with large bathrooms. Though there was some kind of smell in the corridors. The breakfast menu was also very nice. I strong reccomend this hotel to everyone.

Awesome hotel. The new renovated rooms were big and spacious. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. They allowed an early check - in also.
