Staying for 2 nights. Haven't got a bad word to say about it. Affordable price for Singapore these days. Like the area it is in and you could walk to most places if you are fit enough and good shoes. Use the space in the rooms well. Only ate at the burger place down stairs and it all looks very modern. Like the lobby is in the car park, makes for easy drop off and pick up. Security to your floor and a safe in the room.

Centrally located hotel. Within walking distance to 3 MRT stations, bugis junction, and national library.

Room itself is very very small and not that clean for the price. Great if you just want a place to sleep. Otherwise might be better off considering other hotels in the area.

Just what we needed. Comfortable, affordable, we had a great view from the room and good location. We actually walked all around the river up to the Marina Bay and return. It was convenient. Breakfast and service were good enough.

Pretty good. Small, cozy, funky room. Bathroom is a little bit too small for my liking. Breakfast is quite good. Good location.

Really nice and cozy hotel. Everything is pretty new which is nice. Fair price and very practical location getting all the other areas in Singapore (by foot, bus or metro, which are just a few minutes walk from the hotel). Moreover, for vegetarians/vegans, there is a nice food court next to the hotel called “Flacon Center” - a lot of vegetarian/healthy/vegan options you can find there in a really fair price.

Perfect for our 2 night stop over. Nicely fit out rooms and the phone was really useful. Highly recommend.

Great location. Best attractions in the city quite nearby. Very well connected. Good breakfast service and cozy rooms. All in all a great place to put up for both business and pleasure.

Stayed in a ‘Good’ room, which is the basic level. The room itself was nice and clean, but very compact. I would say that this is only suitable for two people IF you’re okay with limited space - I probably wouldn’t recommend this to someone like my parents, who are used to staying in large Euro/Western style hotel rooms. The beds are quite short (Singapore standard sizing) regardless of the width you select, so if you’re over 5’10 be mindful of that! I also found the mattress to be on the firm side.

Customer service was great, loved the addition of the ‘Handy’ mobile phone that they provide you with, which has internet access and the ability to make and receive free international calls.

Would stay here again :)

In short: Rooms were cozy (meaning REALLY SMALL)

Pros:
1. But it was quite new, and there's ice machine, hot and cold water dispenser available on every floor.
2. Staff were professional, not really chatty but will help you with any questions.
3. Food options galore but it's Singapore, there's always food EVERYWHERE.
4. A complimentary tablet & mobile phone with directions & helpful information is offered during length of stay.

Cons:
1. Taxi drivers almost always get lost when getting there. The entrance is on level 2, road signs r not obvious.
2. To get to lift when heading back, u have to walk past a bar which can get crowded..
Only 3 lifts so be prepared to wait at peak hours.
3. Sound really travels there. I always make a point to request for rooms away from the lift lobby
4. Bathroom is REALLY TINY. Good water pressure though, but can feel a little claustrophobic and not really relaxing.

Room is well furnished and well designed! Staff are very friendly. Located at the center of the town is a plus point as you can almost walk to every places with ease. Tons of food around, no need to take the breakfast option if asked to. Would recommend!

Alice Shani (08/11/2017 14:34)
Very small. Like on a boat. No place to put 2 trolleys. The bed from wall to wall.
Good location though. Clean. Does not include breakfast.

Matt Lawson (07/11/2017 05:00)
Excellent hotel. Does the simple things superbly. The Handy smartphone which is provided in your room for free has been a saviour on my visit in Singapore, giving me free access to the internet while out and about so I didn't get lost. The service here is excellent, staff seem genuinely friendly, the rooms are clean and very well laid out. If I'm ever in Singapore again I will return!

Bryce Linford (01/11/2017 09:05)
If my hotel is clean, has a bed, and is cheap, then I'm usually pretty happy. Hotel G was definitely all of that, and so I thought it was pretty good. Hotel G also has the benefit of a good downtown location, a nice bar/restaurant downstairs, and an attached Burger joint. Ate at both, both were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room I was in was quite small, which to me is not a negative (in fact it means the AC is more effective). It was the perfect size for me, a solo traveller who wasn't spending much time in the hotel. I wanted to mention it though.

Puty Puar (09/09/2017 09:36)
Nice, hip, vibrant hotel situated on great location. Really love the atmosphere and everything. Rooms are chic, but pretty small. Which is pretty normal for Singaporean standard.

Ash Desal (08/09/2017 15:46)
TINY! But we expected that. Even so, this hotel did a fantastic job of constructing and designing their tiny rooms. They pack a lot of offerings and comforts into something that is smaller than a college dorm room. Central location. We walked from the hotel to Little India the first night no problem. It's very close by and worth checking out. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant/bar attached was great.

Ening Nurjanah (07/09/2017 06:09)
Very convenient hotel, small room but very cozy. Situated in one of vibrant area in Singapore, makes easy to move around to some hangout and interestimg places. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast are very good.

Mafalda Alúa (21/08/2017 08:29)
I was expecting more to be honest. By the pictures and comments I was expecting a more recent hotel.
Rooms were super tight, a bit old and had some humidity!
Reception is not on main entrance is through a parking lot and it was a nightmare getting taxi/uber.
Staff was not very warm (special front desk).
Breakfast also was very weak (don't get take it there!)
Localization is also good though!

Libby Glanville (11/08/2017 12:12)
Pretty good location. The rooms are small but have a funky design. We booked a 'good room king' then on arrival we were upgraded to a room with a window (didn't know this was an upgrade). They seem to have the bells and whistles but not the basics like bedside lamps (bedside charging ports), no cupboard and no kettle or bar fridge. However, there was hot and cold water available out in the hallway. There was also a free mobile phone with free data and calls for you to make use of. The shower didn't drain very well and our level smelt a bit like damp. The buffet breakfast was ok though ($15 if you book on arrival), we particularly liked the eggs made by a chef on the spot. The burger place and restaurant downstairs were a bit pricey, much like the hotel overall -- a pleasant experience but a bit expensive for what you get.

Michael Hofmann (26/06/2017 15:47)
What used to be the BIG hotel is now a cool boutique hotel with the tiniest rooms possible. It's cleverly designed, though, to make the most of the available space. Also, the idea is that you're not hanging around in your room, but join the communal space and restaurant on the ground level. This is where a decent breakfast is served and you're somehow getting in and out of the place, since the actual lobby and car drop-off is somewhere upstairs. Everyone is hip and friendly, making it overall a very pleasant experience. There are also free water dispensers on each floor. Too bad there was no way to get shower before flying out.

Blaise Samoy (21/06/2017 11:11)
Budget hotel with attitude and style. Rooms are very small and you don't even have a small fridge... but still a nice little hotel with a decent location at a budget rate. New restaurants are a nice addition and a real plus. Highly recommended.

Kimble Ngo (11/06/2017 01:49)
Good location. Awesome decor. Friendly service. Small but well designed room

Some issues: hot water was out/not ruining the first evening (as resolved after a call)
No clear "release" button for the sink drainer/catch.

Otherwise, I enjoyed it quite alot.

Tommy Gunawan (30/05/2017 17:33)
Great location, close to buses and MRT (train). Hotel is good for the price. Room is small but sufficient, especially if you're planning to explore the city during the day.

Liam Brennan (29/04/2017 16:01)
Nice hotel, staff very helpful. Rooms are small but they have all you need.

Amaly Lamazi (18/04/2017 05:18)
Excellent location but Not really 5 star, more like 4 star

Tanir Chang (06/04/2017 13:20)
Hot water could only be refilled from outside, not boiled in the room. Who wants to walk along the cold corridors especially when you need a cup of coffee to work late in the night? And the toilet is only separated by a shower screen, all was wet when I finished my shower. Horrible place indeed

Andrea Balint (03/04/2017 17:36)
The location is great, walking distance from a lot of sights. There is plenty to explore nearby. The bar& restaurant are classy and offer a great selection of food and drinks. Rooms are clean and comfortable, hotel personnel is professional and helpful. Internet connection is excellent. If your aim is to explore the city then it's the perfect choice for you.

Joon Park (27/02/2017 20:39)
Good little boutique hotel. Rooms are very small though its affordable and situated well within city. Lovely restaurant where you can have breakfast

Gabrielle Winding (27/02/2017 09:41)
Affordable boutique hotel that is modern & clean, perfect for seeing singapore on a budget. Small but cosy, perfect for 1 person or a couple that like to sleep in close quarters. Excellent service from Wallace at the front desk.

Molly Waseka (12/02/2017 09:29)
A decent hotel. Small rooms, but not much needed. Located on a very main road and within walking distance to some markets and temples. Very central. 35 min walk to chinatown, 20 minutes walk to little india. Overall pretty satisfied.

Thongrapee Panyapatiphan (29/11/2016 17:20)
Nice atmosphere, The smell of lobby is very nice. Lots of comfortable pillows are provided. People might find rooms being small but I think it's just the right size for 1 person. For the location of the hotel, it's close(5-10 minutes walk) to Bugis mall and 3 MRT stations. It's a nice place with good price, I would recommend this place to my friends.

Denise Mast (12/11/2016 02:57)
Great location but currently under construction. One of the reasons I booked it was because it had self laundry. Closed during renovation. Also wanted to use the gym. Closed. The internet wasn't working in my room so I requested a new room. The staff not only moved me, but upgraded me as well. I'm sure once the construction is over it will be awesome. I just picked a bad time to be here.

Karen Lai (03/10/2016 21:36)
Friendly staff and excellent customer service! The room was small but "clean" if you don't look too closely at the walls for moldy spots. I guess this is not uncommon in Singapore because of the humidity.

Jan-Felix Schmakeit (22/09/2016 12:57)
Despite the construction and the temporary reception in a back room, it has been a solid experience. The rooms are small, but modern and comfortable. Wifi is slow but mostly usable. Convenient location, with 7-11s around the corner and a 24/7 restaurant downstairs. I would stay here again, especially if the price is good.

Sven Wilhelm (30/08/2016 04:46)
Great interieur and atmosphere in the room. The bed was fantastic. And all for a very low price. I would recommend this hotel at anytime.

Ciputra Angundjaja (19/08/2016 02:29)
Contrary to the name big...everything is small and cute. Loved it. Love the location. Too bad they are renovating right now. Bet its gonna be awesome once they're finish.

Javier Bellés (01/08/2016 05:59)
Great hotel, Good Service, perfect tiny and tidy rooms. Pity my last time was on reconstruction works so I didn't fully enjoyed

Cash Chen (09/07/2016 14:49)
Overall good experience But the internet is very slow that I can't watch youtube at 720P or even 480P. That's crucial. Everything else is good tho

Darren Fagan (01/07/2016 07:30)
Good price, clean modern rooms. Rooms are quite narrow however. Reception is attentive and 24hr, but renovations being made during stay so not sure about other facilities.

Phelan Pirrie (28/06/2016 09:38)
This is a completely different hotel from anything I have stayed in before.

A sleek industrial entrance but fitted out like your lounge you feel relaxed as soon as you enter. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Our room was on of the more relaxing and thoughtfully laid out rooms I have been in. Careful lighting and clever layout made a small space into a perfect room, the pod style sink was like something out of 2001 Space Odyssey, the small but perfectly formed bathroom with it's deluge shower was just right.

The bed was perfect on it's platform, a cross between space age and Japanese style futons.

Small touches like a tablet for internet (but there's still wifi) clever storage spaces for bags and a pod coffee machine for real coffee just completed this hotel.

Let's face it, you're not hanging around in your hotel room for hours, but when you are there it needs to be quiet and restful. The finish in this hotels rooms are white, wood and concrete (which is actually wall paper) the clean simple finish is perfect after a wading through the heat!

Highly highly recommend this hotel for something a bit different.

The most wheelchair friendly hotel ever!
The have special lift for you at the entrance, special rooms with bigger door & etc. 5 stars!!

And, Value for money!!! Ya the room is small but for the price S $117+ per night and location, it is totally worth it.

5mins walk to Albert center food court and Bugis walk.

More like a business hotel. Not really 5 stars but like a budget 5 stars. Basic.
Love the lounge/lobby area.

Room is clean.
Bed is firm. Our bed is King size
No fridge.
Refundable Deposit SGD 50

Tips: they can extend check out to 1pm

Mark Reynolds (29/04/2016 14:30)
This shouldnt be classed as a hotel with the lack of amenities it should be a hostel/backpackers. Room has no kitchenette (thats no kettle/fridge/sink) so yes makes it hard to make a hot drink or chill your drinking water..... , there's no room service, no check-in concierge, breakfast is a complete waste of money, there's no table service, our room was a Superior King. Level 9 has a damp/mouldy floor. One half of the bed is against 3 walls meaning only 1 person can hop straight out without climbing over the other, hand basin was broken so couldnt drain water out.The shower head is broken, Shower curtain needs to be cleaned, when the room had its midday service they didn't replace the toilet paper. Theres nowhere to put your lugguage and with these rooms being soo small they really get in the way on the floor. These rooms are smaller than you may think, waste of money total ripoff and really brought a sour taste to our holiday.
