We had a nice one week stay at this hotel. Although not the best, it sure is a great catch at around INR 2.5k at which i booked. The area Geylang is absolutely safe as any other part of Singapore. Geylang road bus stop is just 2 minutes walk and Aljunied MRT station is 15 minutes walk which is quite convinient. There are plenty of eateries around. Internet speed is awesome and the room has a smart TV too. Overall value for money.

Got 3 rooms for a trip for 5 people ordering all 2 twin rooms and 1 single but got only single rooms since apparently it's only a request and that it doesn't need to be fulfilled. My group is pretty heal cautious and we wanted rooms that don't smell like cigarettes. 2 of the 3 rooms reaked with the smoke smell each time you go in. This is in the red light district which is a downside for me as well. I strongly discourage people to stay here especially without a gym or fitness area. The rooms are also incredibly small.

Room 202 is haunted.
Not joking, just saw excuse when you enter the room. We forgot that step and I had a bad experience. However the reception was good, they didn't even ask why we want to change room. They just change like they already knew what happened. :-)

The room is nice clean and cozy.. just the bathroom is small.. higher than my expectation ! Overall its good !

Cheap hotel with decent interior. Not that far away from 2 metro stations. Pretty good choice for that money in Singapore.

The rooms were quite small but it meets your needs. It has a queen size bed, a safe, a sink, air conditioning, a tv with an attached smart tv option for YouTube viewing with a remote control, free fast WiFi for the room, hot and cold water for showers, a toilet, a fridge, a hair dryer, 2 towels, 2 pillows, free shampoo and body wash, an electric kettle for coffee, and curtains for the one window. The toilet does not come with a bidet only a tissue dispenser near it.
Overall, the room does its job as a place to sleep while you're on vacation. The hotel is located in the red light district though for those who wanted to know or who are interested, you can sample the local Chinese and Singaporean just at the corner. 😉

Hotel 81 Premier Star has a slightly bigger room than Premier Hollywood, but the sheer lack of bench space for even a laptop makes this hotel very inappropriate for a lower budget business traveler. Internet is consistently below 10mbps from my room specific wifi router, which is pretty slow considering Singapore's typically fast internet. Other than that, no other complaints really.

The rooms are very small but meet all the needs. Close to the MRT so easy access to everything in the city. Close to red light district so probably not suitable for families South children.

Typical Budget hotel for tourists. Mostly located close city centres. Convenient location.

I stayed there for 3 nights. Rooms though clean but small. Bathroom was also too small even that washbasin was fitted in the room. Budget hotel.

Good price and not too far from the MRT. The staff were friendly but the room was very small and the floor felt a little tacky. They did allow us to leave our luggage all day for our midnight flight out, though, which was nice.

Very bad WiFi connection in the room Walls are extremely thin and so there is a LOT of noise thoughout the evening, night and early in the morning. You can hear other people pee, brush their teeth... The room smells awefull! As if someone smoked in it. The shower smells as bad... Half a bottle of eucalyptus oil couldn't mask the smell... Easy access to public transport For the record $65 per night

The rooms were quite boring and weren´t attractive. The hotel is located in a red light district and this was noticeable. The personnel was pretty distant.
But besides that the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was fine. We were here for just one day and this was good enough for us.

Hotel Room is Quiet Small but Nice and Clean, Receptionists are good in English.
Easy to reach from anywhere (MRT, Bus, Walking).
Tons of food, gift shop, night entertainment near the hotel

This is a decent hotel if you consider the low prices. Ok location, about 10-15 min away from Aljunied station. The rooms are extremely small and the windows are not opening.

Well priced hotel, right in middle of a red light street, but it is all very discreet. Some effort been made with decor on a Japanese theme which is nice for a budget place. Location handy to Al Juneid station and lots of affordable coffee houses and cafes around. A good choice for the budget traveller.

Convenient rooms equipped with necessary facilities at affordable rates but a little bit far from the center. Staff is not very friendly.

Basic Hotel. Clean, reasonably priced (for Singapore!), helpfull staff and relatively near bus stops and al junied mrt station. Down side is its distance from city center and the fact that it is located in a red lyt district.

It is clean and the staff is helpful. But the rooms were a bit smelly. Be aware that it is located in red light district, but it is not disturbing.

Good looking hotel right in the middle of the red light district of the city. But the area is quiet, so is the hotel. Really small rooms but clean and good design. 300 meters away from the train station that will take you to the most famous touristic spots of singapour. But the real advantage of this hotel is it's low prices.

It's okay for travelling in Singapore on a budget. We stayed for 4nights. Daily room cleaning. Close to metro station but very noisy hotel! You can here people talking next door and all other sounds people make at night while in bed. Yeah, exactly!
Beware, this is in the red lights district. It's not dangerous but it's good to know.

Overall, the room is great, however, beware of the two ill-mannered and uneducated employees (Eric On & Alvin). They both did a great job by damaging the reputation of the whole Hotel 81 representing in Singapore.
I am their loyal customer but am disappointed that the company top management show less effort in dealing with their employee's insolent behavior.

Good value hotel in the red light district near the Aljunied MRT stop. Rooms are clean. Hotel is located near many restaurants.
