I like this place, coz (1) it's halal (2) relaxing (3) plenty of tables with comfortable chairs (4) food is okay. Roasted half chicken set is quite delicious. French fries portion is quite big - love it. Apple pie and apple struddle are dissapointing - almost tasteless.

Eating here frequently due to location convenience. Food is nice but staffs are not friendly and not polite, always having personal talk and pretending like no customers standing in front, sometimes missed the orders.

Generally, service and ambience feels like coffee-shop, but priced a bit more like cafe. Tables not so clean, bring own tissue-paper.

Fish and chip was surprising awesome. The outdoor seats looks better than the indoor ones.

Near library, have vegetarian (some vegan) option. Price a bit expensive for student but quality of food worth it.

Little expensive for the food offering. The omlettes are good and so are the chicken burgers on the down side they hardly give you any chips.

Lovely open and high ceiling alfresco area. Great for meetings and people watching. For the price, food is alright.

Situated near the entrance of the public library of Singapore a great place. They have very tasteful products. Personnel are very kind and fast.

Cheap and good

It's not a place to enjoy food&drink. It's a great place to enjoy reading in an open place.

I decided to stop by Han's for a cheesecake because my friend craved for one. Bought a slice of cheesecake, went to take a seat and she happily ate the slice. Soon after, the empty plate got cleared up. No problem so far. A half hour later or so, one of the employees was telling us off but I couldn't understand word by word because he spoke in Mandarin. The only response that my friend had was, "that was quite scary."
I didn't really pay attention about it but the tone was aggressive and it did tick me off. On our way back home, I asked my friend what happened exactly. She told me that he told us to "buy something or get out." Even if he didn't see any utensils of Han's on our tables, he could have asked politely- which he clearly didn't.
I was really fuming and asked her if she wanted to go back but she declined. Had I known what he said exactly, I'd deal with the matter personally then and there and got him or his colleague to apologize.
I tried to lodge a complaint via its main website and the page didn't allow me to and give an error message.
Poor service quality and unacceptable attitude. Disappointed and you just lost two customers.

Don't expect too much, it's a no frill place for average food with little or no service. It has a large sheltered outdoor sitting area and nice to dine there during rainy weather. Price slightly above the average eating house.

My favourite place for fish'n chips in Singapore. So great to eat outside whatever the weather, shady when there is sun, covered when it is raining. Good price for money for a quick lunch.

Cool place for a quick break or a nicer lunch.

It's Hanis. Decent kopi and teh
Thibault SCALBERT (27/02/2016 08:14)
It is good but not cheap.
Ok for a coffe but not more!
Caleb Liu (26/12/2015 03:25)
Unpretentious food at reasonable prices, Han's has been doing this for decades. They provide an interesting mix of Western and local food, and are especially known for their reasonably priced set lunches. Sure, the ambiance and service isn't much to shout about but a good place to re-fuel.
Julien (18/12/2015 05:58)
Cheap and simple. For a long time I did not know that there's Han's, the normal outlet, and Hanis, the halal outlets. Confusing!
