Every dish of food is not enjoyable. The best we had was Cesar salad. The rest of the dishes are not up to standard for the price tag. Will never step into handle bar ever again.

This is our neighborhood hangout spot. Friendly staff and awesome wings. We love coming here on Sundays with the kids, dog and a good board game. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Motorcycle friendly restaurant, you can literally ride all the way into the place. Great place to hang out in the evening where there's breeze. Lots of outdoor seating (good for smokers). Decent food, love their lamb, wings are very mild for local taste buds even on their spiciest level.

Came here to chill with friends after work today. Easy parking for bikes, friendly staff, decent food and they have my favorite Guinness on offer today. Will come again.

I really liked the food in handle bars. The beer butt chicken was soft, juicy and tender. The spicy chicken wings were flavorful but they weren't as spicy as thought to be. The pork chop was flavorful and tender as well. This place is a fun place that has a biker enphasis which I don't mind. The food is great and the service is nice. Something to note though, some foods take quite sometime to cook like the beerbutt chicken took about 30 minutes to come

Simply admiring artworks at gilman barracks? Or just walking around hoping for something interesting, well if you walk a little bit more inside you will be directed by a handlebar logo. What is it? Its a American , Motorbike themed bar located by the hidden corners. Big outdoor space, with bikers occasionally popping by with their monstrosities and casual people there for a beer or two. Looking at the menu, i was taken aback. Pizzas starting from $10?? Beers ranging from half pints , full pints , suicide mug to jugs and at reasonable prices. Its definitely my go to hangout spot ever since i found out unexpectedly. Grab a beer, share a pizza with a friend and the vibe the place brings to you makes you feel something else. They sell a variety of bottles, grill food and more! The staffs there are wonderful. Plus I know for smokers reading this, you can smoke! They will pass an ash tray to your table once you start lighting up. That's what i call a bar.

Great food... Great atmosphere... place is innovatively decorated according to the theme.

The ambience and decorations are great!
Food wise, we were a bit disappointed: the burger bun was dry and the portobello burger was less than average...however my double cheeseburger was quite good, so maybe not a place for vegetarians...;)

Excellent atmosphere! Beautifully located in a quiet part of Gillman Barracks. Awesome food too!
Went there at 1030pm. Great vibes with many bike aficionados

Terence Tan (25/09/2017 11:01)
Great place for bikers and even non-bikers to hang out! It's owners built most of their own fittings and furnishings too!

Hidden in Gilman Barracks, this place is a surprising find. Chill environment, plentiful carpark and great food. Recommendations - blossom onion, beer butt chicken and FTW Tibet. Wash it all down with an ice cold beer and everything is perfect!

Great place, bar looks super cool. Good if you are motorbike fan. You can watch Moto GP with your friends on big outdoor screen.

James Sharpe (07/08/2017 14:44)
Stalwart pub that almost defines destination dining. Quirky decor, cheap beer, good honest food.

Taj Meadows (01/08/2017 02:33)
Nice laid back spot, good beers and snacks, be careful with the super spicy wings...the hottest ones are mouth killing

Joshua Tay (13/06/2017 10:14)
Awesome atmosphere and isn't too hot once the sun sets.

Mark Shu (04/06/2017 04:56)
Quite cool gimmick bar with large open area. Hard to find thou

Nice place to hang out alfresco. Beer is alright with price ranging from $10 to $16 with your standard Heineken draught to 330ml bottled beers. You are mainly paying for the clean, spacious, open air setting. Motorbike themed. Parking lots are also nearby. A good place to unwind away from the usual establishments in malls and buildings. There's also a large projector screen for sports!

We ordered beer. A friend of mine ordered a vegetarian portobello mushroom burger and she likes it.
We were in at the same time with a group of bikers complete with uniform jackets and accessories.

Bernard Lurtutas (09/03/2017 15:50)
Best place to have a drink in S'pore if u like bikes, open air, relaxed atmosphere with the option of indoor dining. Simple but awesome western F&B.

Loo San (20/01/2017 01:19)
Pleasant location amongst the greenery. Draught Guinness on tap. Bacon-wrapped Tenderloin was good

Lau Yi Jun (15/01/2017 08:21)
A secluded and nice place to dine and drink outdoor. Fresh oysters at affordable price. Only down side is if wet weather and also mosquitoes.

Really like this place. Decent food, good service and best of all, many nice bike to look at. Will I come back here to chill? Definitely, provided the weather is good. Slightly pricey.

Kanghao Yu (01/11/2016 10:27)
Laid back bar located in the center of the Gillman area. Has outdoor seating that makes for a pleasant drinking environment on cool evenings.

Daryl Hung (13/09/2016 05:07)
The location is quite ulu and only accessible by vehicle or bicycles. You can walk here too but the road leading in gets creepy after dark. You get an alfresco dining experience here with a view of Malaysia across the sea. Menu selection isn't very huge but the food is pretty decent and good for a place that's out of the way. The benches can be wet if it rained earlier in the day although they are sheltered and you want to bring along newspapers or something to lay on the benches. Do apply mosquito repellent too if you are prone to bites.

used to be a cozy and chillax place by the beach but turning into an expat hangout.

Ryan Choo (17/07/2016 15:27)
Pleasant atmosphere but lack the edge of its former glory in Gilman Village. While the goods were still top notch, service needs serious improvement. Where's the music, guys?

2mymisc (26/06/2016 07:52)
Nice ambience and good facing. However parking can be difficult and food is a little on the pricier side.

Richard Knights (09/05/2016 02:28)
Great views, seeing Malaysia as it slowly disappears in a storm, then comes out again in the sunlight is dazzling. The beer and food was excellent. The onion blossom looked great and tasted greater. Then owner was lovely and helped us out, helping choose beers and making sure we were served well. Before her, though, it wasn't quite as great. The service was by no means bad but we were the only ones in the restaurant for more than hour and it took a long time to clear the table the staff had been eating at nearby. Strange - I would have expected them to clear it as soon as possible. Well worth a visit, though.

David Tong (05/04/2016 04:03)
Love the location, it's right at the edge of the crossway and the breeze is amazing.

The ambiance is good and there's a lot of space to just stroll around.

However, more thought needs to be placed on how the place is ran.

From menus flying all over the place and food cool in 2mins, the wind is an issue.

With mostly American, higher fat content food like cheese-topped fries and such, they get greasy and solid pretty quickly.

It's not Handlebar's fault and the 3 star is more on the food.

The food price doesn't correlate with the quality. They're generally tasty but not worth the asking price. I do understand that the remote location and the lack of foot traffic are a factor, but it's still 15% higher than what it's worth, and the drinks are very pricey.

There are a lot of furniture and platform design that makes you trip quite often as well unless you're sitting outdoors.

It's a place where a car/cab/uber is required. It's a great place to visit with buddies who want to hang out for hours, chilling with the stars and shore.

You're really paying for the venue, to which, is wonderful. The staff's attitude and food, not so much.
