I had a really bad experience after buying a super single bed frame and mattress from FCC furniture, a subsidiary of YH Furniture. I was attended by Reanna and paid in full $450 for the mattress and bed on 13-Aug-16. Delivery was supposed to be mid-Sep but delayed week after week because of "shipment delay from overseas" and finally order was received in Oct-16. In Jan-17 (before Chinese New Year), I noticed that the mattress had sunken in badly and my son was complaining of back ache when sleeping on it. We turned the mattress over and realised that there was a long break line in the middle of the bed frame. I called FCC and just after CNY, their Ops Manager Winson visited my home. He tore open the bottom of the bed and confirmed that the board on the bed was broken in the middle.
To our utter shock and dismay, we saw that the back support was made of cardboard material, same like the material of clipboards. It is not chipboard or plywood material that is used for cabinets or bedframes. The softboard is easily breakable and not sturdy enough for support. Another shock was that we were demanded to pay $160 if we want to have it repaired. This is ridiculous because it is less than 6 months and the material is not fit for purpose. Softboard used as a backing for the bed? and asking if my son jumped on the bed and pay for repairs? Hello, my son is a 1.7+ tall teenager and this is why I bought a super single bed, it is impossible for him to jump on the bed, he would hit his head on the ceiling!! It is really unreasonable and ridiculous to demand that we have to pay for repairing the damage when Winson tore open the bottom to check the breakage.
I called many, many times again without response and when I did finally managed to contact the sales person Reanna to tell her of my problems, she said that matter is handed over to Winson. After trying many times again, I managed to get in touch with him. But, Winson was very aggressive and rude, even shouting in the phone conversation, insisting that I have to pay $160 to repair the back support. I am utterly disappointed that to-date, they refused to make any replacement.
It is a material defect and it there should be warranty since it was broken less than 6 months and through no fault of ours. This company is unreasonable. I then checked online and found out that this company has many unfavourable comments and have negative feedbacks on their service delivery. Please beware and extra cautious or you will get rude shocks!
