Had a Long Black and choose the CMCR Espresso beans for brew. Best choice! They definitely know how to brew coffee. You should stop by!

Had a wonderful brunch here a few weeks ago. Wish a 4.5 rating existed because they would get it. Great coffee and good food. A bit cramped inside during peak hours.

Hard to fault this cafe. Amazing coffee and the croissant was melt-in-the-mouth and dense. I was acutely aware of the great beats in the background as well which added to the laid-back atmosphere. Best of all there’s a conscious effort to reduce waste with the use of stainless steel straws! 👏👏

Lovely brunch place. The coffee is amazing, the chili scrambled eggs absolutely delicious and the red bean pau not too sweet. Overall, had a great time - a bit crowded and a bit noisy but oh well, going there on a Sunday I wasn't expecting anything else. The price is very decent compared to the other brunch places around. I hope the new branch is East coast is as pleasant as the original one!

Great coffee, nice ambience.

Went here for the first time. The place is a cozy nook, definitely not a Starbucks vibe.

Got the large flat white and enjoyed it. Would have liked it a bit warmer. The coffee beans were roasted by common man roasters and had a nice hint of chocolate and cinnamon. Not acidic at all.

The Asian slider, Kong Bak Pau, was a pleasant surprise as well. Didn't expect it to be served "deconstructed". The whole experience of stuffing the buns with the braised pork was nice. Sauce was rich but not overpowering with a good balance of pepper and tartness. Pork belly was melt in your mouth soft. Definitely one to try out.

One thing that id like changed would be the music. Would have preferred they played jazz rather than r&b/pop. But that's just me.

Definitely recommend this place. I

One of the best brunch cafe in tiong bahru, or even singapore. Excellent food, great coffee. We tried the Eggs Cocotte, Banana Bacon French Toast, and the Lattes; they're terrific. Only downside is place a bit too small and almost always crowded. Come during odd hours to maximize your experience.

Food: The food is great, with a range of selection.

Drink: Coffee is well brewed, strong with artistic presentation.

Queue: Manual queuing system thats efficient, did not have to wait too long for our table.

Atmosphere: Lively and vibrant, with nice music playing in the background.

Service: Responsive service by staff.

Considerations for improvement: The passageway infront of the beverage service counter is too narrow due to the building supporting beam. Suggest to rearrange the service counter so that the passageway is more spacious.

What a great and cozy little cafe in an awesome neighbourhood. We had the bacon benny and the salmon hash for breakfast in the back room. Coffee was good if a bit strong. Cool bookshops to visit right across the street was a plus

Been here many times. Great coffee! Might get too crowded for my liking at times.

Recommended this restaurant if you are looking for savory brunch.

Visited the restaurant on Saturday for brunch and it was crowded however we don’t need to wait long for our table. We had Asian slider with braised pork, Egg Benedict bacon with roasted potatoes (the bomb of the show) and the infamous Tau Sar Bao (Chinese red bean bun). The food was tasty and flavorful even though the restaurant was busy.

If you are someone that knows how to appreciate coffee, here may not be the right place for you as their coffee generally have a very strong bitter taste. Overall the service we received was good.

Pretty looking food. Taste is distinctly poor to average. Lacks flavour or any kind. Plenty of other places that serve better quality food (and for less).

The cafe always never fail to surprise me with the menu. Especially the banana bacon French toast - mixture of sweet and savoury, and every blend in perfectly to give maximum satisfaction to my taste buds

Great vibe and good coffee. It might look small from the front but there is plenty of air-conditioned seating at the back ... just keep walking through!

A must when you're visiting Singapore. Couldn't fault food and service. The surrounding quiet streets and Tiong Bahru markets are a different way to enjoy the country. Get in early though to get the best seats!

This visit was pretty good. Good coffee. Good food. Good service and quick a bit hit and miss lately but this time quite good.

Yes. Loved it.. Good food and service is perfect compliment the traditional neighborhood of TiongBahru. Been here a couple of times and can't wait to try yet more items off the menu... breakfast today was the eggs Benny with juicy piece of steak... go try it out.. go early as it crowds up quick with a queue starting at about 10-1030...

Good coffee, self-service so no service charge. The pork buns are great and well worth the price. Truffle fries are very crispy and generous with the truffle

Benjamin Zhan (13/05/2017 05:23)
Easy to find location in small street. The shop is very very cramped, often as waiters or customers walked past would knock into seated customers. The food is fantastic and coffee is quiet good. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

The food was excellent and hearty. The breakfast set was reasonably price with the best tasty mince beef I had. The sandwich was tasty too but the portion quite small. The service staff was friendly and helpful. I came on weekday after 2pm and it was still quite packed with limited seating available. The ambience was quiant but homely to me although the place is quite small.
HDB car park is available beside it.

Ordered the salmon hash with a side of poached eggs and it was nice! However the side of fries that came with the meal made it a little cloying because the dish was creamy and already came with some potatoes. Service staff are friendly and great for a quiet brunch.

Food and service is nice. A $$ eatery opens early in the morning.

Love the Asian slider.

Eggs on steak is said to be juicy, the the steak is well done. It still tastes good but not juicy. Got a bit misled.

Coffee is good.

This place is really popular. Be ready for queue.

Very nice and tastefull desert options. The carrot cake looked amazing. I tried the diaryfree option: date and oats something and the cold brew. Loved that they put a slice of orange peel into the cold brew, gave it a nice touch.

Ordered a cappuccino and sweet potato carrot cake. Interesting coffee blend, on the acidic side, but we'll executed. Carrot cake was not too sweet, overall delicious. Price: $5.50 for regular size coffee and $8.00 for cake. Bit pricey for me.

Jonathan Gan (08/02/2017 06:03)
Coffee here is strong! The shop looks small from the outside but there's more seating inside. I had the deep-fried Korean chicken burger - could have done with a bit more seasoning on the chicken

Shayne Mathews (15/01/2017 16:41)
This place has become an institution in Singapore. The place is packed for brunch on weekends so please visit only if you are up for great food. The chilli scrambled eggs are great and so is the banana bread. The red bean buns are a delight.

Zia Ul Hakim (15/01/2017 00:17)
Pple are not kidding when they said the the food here is pricey. But it's a pretty good place with lots of seats. But I don't see why it's very popular though. The

Felt the coffee was pretty normal and on the lighter side. On the side note, the sweet potato carrot cake was really nice. Have bits and pieces of sweet potato in them and the cream was not too sweet.

Was here mainly for the coffee and it could do much better considering the hype that the cafe had before.

Pek Zhan (25/12/2016 04:48)
Nice environment, coffee is great. The beans they use are more towards the acidic type if you are ok with it. Worth the walk :)

Jo L (27/09/2016 08:39)
Nice little café. Great chilled ambient. Decent coffee. A little bit on the pricey side but it's a nice place to chill for a while away from the heat. Tried the bacon cheesecake and it's okay. Like the bacon topping mixed with walnuts but the cheesecake itself doesn't have much taste to it.
