Nice place in a central location. The room we got was for four and was big enough that we weren't bumping into each other. The view isnt great but with Fort Canning Park across the street, you can just walk over for view. We aren't the type to lounge around our hotel anyways so we're content with the amenities. Security is good as you need a key card to get to your floor. They do have a pool but if you're looking for relaxation around the pool, not here. The pool is filled with kids spashing around, and why not, it's the YWCA. You can eat at their restaurant or walk to the many shopping plazas around Fort Canning. If you're a light sleeper, there's construction next door. Otherwise, great place.

Visited the grace room on level 2 for an event. For some reason, was directed to the 3rd floor by the front desk staff, even though the lift buttons label it on the 2nd. Toilets are nice. Decent cosy place. Vending machine charges $1.50 for a can of coke. There is a cute souvenir store on the first floor.

Well worth it for the price! Prime location, clean room, good service and good enough swimming pool. However, the swimming pool might be fully occupied by swimming classes. But, the hotel cost us only 100 SGD per night, that's more than worth it

Great place to stay, cheaper than other hotel, the room is very clean for an old hotel. The bathroom also very clean. It is nice to stay here, you can go to orchard road only with walking, they have free wifi, great breakfast. Friendy staff, Very recommended hotel. Love to stay here

Not a grand hotel but is good to organize company event here. Reasonable budget and the food provided taste good. There are two large function room here could House more than 300 person each

Fort Canning Lodge is suitably located near Orchard Road, one of the main shopping belt in Singapore. The place, however, does look a bit aged, though it is still cleanly maintained. It does offer a relatively inexpensive option near the Orchard Road area.

The hostel was great. Though a small room, they managed to fit many things, including a television. It was also very fancy and they had carpeted the floor for all of the rooms. Some rooms were bigger than others but cost more.

I have gone here to pick some friends up so I can't really comment on the guest rooms here. However, the ambience of the lobby is quite nice. I would say the receptionists have very nice and serving attitude which impressed me so much. They are helpful and friendly. They made extra calls to make sure I get my taxi when my taxi was late. Really appreciated their effort to make the guest feel welcomed and at home here.

In YMCA / YWCA traditions, Fort Canning offers a comfortable place to rest, in this property with it's bit history. Overlooks a park, view from 12th floor is spectacular, there is pool 7:am - 9 pm, spacious lobby, a hairdresser, a souvenir shop, a Coffee Shop, banquet rooms.. peaceful to stay here.

Went to eat buffet at fort canning lodge, the food was quite good. Only small downside is the spread is a little small. But the food is quite nice, staff were nice and the overall experience was good

A little bit rundown hotel, but with spacious rooms for that price range. A short stroll to Plaza Singapura. The place is very popular with SE Asians and as a result almost always full.

I stayed here with a group of primary aged students. This is not a hotel I would pick for myself. The rooms were a good size for Singapore and the staff were very polite and helpful especially with the children. The breakfast was good but not a lot of choice if you want to eat healthily. The beds were very hard and although the shower was hot the bathrooms are small and in need of renovation. The hotel is close to one of the main MRT interchange stations, bus stops and a shopping centre with several decent restaurants.

The staff are very friendly and experts in guiding you to places on this side of town. The position is excellent with transport and a variety of facilities and shops within easy reach. The hotel is fairly basic but the rooms are quite spacious with private facilities for ablutions. The information regarding in-house facilities is difficult to come by, however

The rooms are really tiny but I enjoy the food alot. The service is okay, and acceptable. I like the fact that the ambience is cozy as well.

Reasonable price hotel in the dorm room style. Nice for more than 2 people traveling. Need to pay couples dollars for non-member at the check in.

I usually go there to visit the coffee house for buffet. The food is of acceptable quality with not much variety. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. The plus side is that they usually have a lot of promotions for their buffet such as 1-for-1 which makes it a really good deal to dine there. Ambience there is also acceptable. Usually peaceful and quiet with few people, unless there's an event.

Room is reasonable. Be aware of the additional charge if your not a member as we were a little shocked. The charge is a one time charge for your visit they said at reception so you can can become temporary members. Station is close to Doby Ghaut station which is a 5 minute walk down some steps from the hotel.

Placed at the Centre, it's a good place to roam around and then come back to the room to rest.

Staff are courteous. Rooms are quite nice but can improve to match their price. Pay by cash to avoid credit card "mistakes"
They have baggage room which was very useful.

Room is very well furnished and is quite spacious. Bed is very comfortable and the controls of the lights and air-conditioning is very cool with touch panels which lights up when fingers come close.
The only downside is the sound of the air-conditioning fan which is quite noticeably loud even at low setting. Makes going into sleep fast quite tough.

A great experience in a fantastic hotel and excellent service. Would stay again without hesitation. Just a minor niggle is that some used items were not replaced e.g. used shower cap taken away and not replaced with a fresh one and two robes taken away on seperate days but neither were replaced.

Not the highest standards but clean and nice staff.
Free WIFI included in the room price, but the login solution require web login very often.

Best place for bed and breakfast and conference. Beautiful garden in front of the lodge for a walk. Their breakfast and dinner meals get my 5* as well.

Spacious room and clean, but quite old. The breakfast buffet is really to the minimal...I prefer to eat at nearby place.

Attended an investment talk and found the place had Old school charm. A little tired decor, but reasonably well kept. What was really good was the catering! The in house kitchen did a great Nasir leak spread, that could hold its own served at a restaurant. A far cry from the typical poor catering served at seminars.

Nice clean facilities. Bit worn with use, but overall a very good option for the family budget traveler. Will definitely recommend
