We ordered fish and gado gado which tasted like they were cooked by some health freak... too little salt for both dishes, fish was oily, too much boiled cabbage and too little flavor in the chap Chye, the drinks served were the stingiest portion I’ve ever seen. Only the service was passable.

Food was really mediocre, not to say expensive! The ingredients tasted cheap and not particularly fresh. We got the buah keluak chicken, babi pongteh and salted egg yolk fries.

The last order is at 7:30pm which is inconvenient. Bubur hitam is a must

One of my secret hideaways in the middle of Orchard Road where I can get good portion of quality food at a decent price (not hawker centre affordable but table service reasonable).
Must try dishes here are the Tauhu Telor - fried firm tofu coated in fried beaten egg drenched in prawn paste. And the Nasi Goreng (spicy fried rice) - Satay is tender with a smokey char and served with a small bowl of kuar but the fried chicken here is the star of this dish.

Abv average food.
Mostly Asian/local cuisine.

A good place to eat after shopping in town.

Came to take a break after walking around Orchard and ordered Kueh set for 2 ($15++) which comes with 2 coffee. Quite value for money considering the location.
Kueh is soft and nice, luckily there was coffee to balance the sweetness.
Not sure how the mains taste, maybe will check out the place again.

Staff service was good. Change deco since my last visit. Order a lamb shank masala rice which taste good. The lamb meat came off the bone nicely with a achar side and crispy papadum, masala sauce was a bit mild but taste nice with the white fluffy bismati rice. The chinchow drink taste good.

Lamb Rice, the lamb is soft and no strong smell. $24 Recommend

The food is yummy though sometimes a bit inconsistent. The laksa is a hot favourite (though seems a bit less flavourful than before). The fried rice is my personal favourite as it is really fragrant and comes with a juicy skewered chicken (satay) and achar. Can be a bit to get the attention of the waiters sometimes. If only all restaurants have that little service buzzer on every table... Tip! There is an elevator that goes directly to Island Cafe. Go past the carpark lift on the first floor through another door to find another lift that will get you right to the cafe. Enjoy!

The staff is friendly but it's very difficult to get their attention at all. I had to walk up to them to place my order and also for the check. Nice ambience with outdoor seating and a good place to bring out of town visitors for a taste of local fare.

Local food at higher prices but done really well. Love the tauhu goreng & signature black pepper tang hoon.

Prompt service, food of consistent quality. Special dishes (seasonal and monthly menu) are worth exploring.
