Expensive, simple food and not very good. Such a shame given the reviews we had seen for it.
There are many better and cheaper options in the area. I don't recommend

Lovely service and great food! The salted egg Benedict's were truly amazing.
A nice place to go on a weekend to catch up with friends and it's not overly crowded. Will go again!

Came here to do some work. While there's space downstairs and upstairs, it smelled quite funky downstairs. It was also slightly dark / lack of natural lighting downstairs. The service was great though!

Little to no air conditioning. Air conditioning seems to be only available upstairs at one corner. I had the classic egg Benedict and it was salty, which I did not expect, and still had quite a bit of water left, and did not really like how the vinegar went with the egg itself. Overall I'm not a big fan of salty and poached eggs (my first time trying it), however if one likes it, I would say it's not bad when eaten together with the bun and bacon. Presentation wise I do not like how the burger is opened up, it makes it hard to squeeze things into a bite using the fork and knife. But again, personal preference. Ambience wise, the cafe did not have much creativity in design as well. And I don't think I'll be heading to tanjong pagar again, as the architecture isn't that pretty. However the waitress was cute :)

I have high expectations for this place after seeing the positive reviews. But perhaps the nice food are only the Benedicts and the coffee. We had pulled pork sandwich and pork collar rice bowl. Both were disappointing. Pork collar was tough, and there are egg shells in my eggs.. Coffee was good though.

The Banana Bread with Espresso Butter comes highly recommended, because, like life, it is both bitter and sweet at once, with a lightness of touch I can’t quite say for most banana breads. It’s rich and refreshing with a nice crumbly texture, and makes for a perfect pairing with any milk-based drink. You also can’t go wrong with any of their coffee options- my personal favourite is the iced mocha.
For something heavier, word has it that its Salted Egg Yolk Eggs Benedict won’t disappoint.

Great coffee and delicious fluffy buttermilk pancakes. The strawberry crepes are also good but probably more suited to a dessert than breakfast.
Free wifi and attentive staff.

Maybe cafe is quiet on weekdays but not today.
Everyone at level 2 are 😪sweating cos no aircon 😓only with a few small fan. Disappointed! Should be a celebration for birthday but we have to leave cos we are sweating like we went to sauna!🙄
Food overrated~from reviews

Great place to work with WiFi and plug sockets available upstairs. The food is great and the chef personable, as are the attentive waiters and waitresses. My only qualm is the seats are not very comfortable.

Very good coffee. Very simple setup but furnishing seems very solid. Well appointed.

Closer to being hole in the wall coffee shop, the interiors are really basic and somewhat warm. Think they sell some prepared food but I'm guessing most people would just drop in for coffee. I wouldn't spend a long time being there as it was not too cosy and warm to be comfortable. But coffee was decent enough.

I used to come to Drury Lane for 2 things.
1. The quiet atmosphere, great for work or a chill day.
2. The Big 94, which is, to date, the tastiest brunch set I've had.
I came today and found that #2 is gone. 😭 While I still had a great time chilling with their Eggs Benedict and apple juice, I grieve the loss of the Big 94...

Excellent coffee and light breakfast food options. Coming from Melbourne where coffee expectations are high, the team at Drury Lane are doing brilliant work. Loved it!

The creamy salted egg Ben has a unique taste but it isn't that fantastic. Tried the brekkie bowl and it's a normal salad dish you could get from elsewhere. Totally not worth the price.

5 stars for the coffee, 3 stars for the food. The coffee here is exceptional. I tried the raspberry candy coffee, which surprisingly had the flavor of raspberry. I've never had anything quite like it.
The baked egg was their supposed "signature" and was pretty tasty, but not something I'd go out of my way for. It came with salmon and raw kale. If they had baked or fried the kale, that might have tied everything together.
Love that they provide the wifi password right at the cash register. That's what a good internet cafe should be like. The ambience was quite adorable with a cozy, cottage-like feel. Since you order first, it's easy to split the bill with a big group. Prices were also quite reasonable, so no need to break the bank for brunch. If you arrive before noon, there'll be plenty of seats on the two floors.

A unique twist on my brunch staple Eggs Ben. Tried this creamy salted egg yolk eggs ben with grilled prawns and really enjoyed it. Liked their coffee too. The place was a bit busy but overall its a good place to hangout on a weekend.

The microlot coffee is smooth, refreshing, and delicate. Lovely brew, these guys know how to do a great filter coffee. Will definitely be back!

Love this cafe's homely feel, although it could do with some updating. Menus are quite worn and wouldn't be expensive to replace. Second floor is a nice comfy place to sit at but the A/C doesn't work. But it didn't bother me to much.
Food is decent to good - I had the eggs royal and Chili Crab Pasta. Al dente no less, and a great big pile of salmon. Definitely great value for money when compared to cafes in the same area, and I absolutely love the pay-as-you-wish muffin concept. Some power plugs and free WiFi - good for studying and doing work especially on weekdays where it's less crowded.

Overall the food was okay. Generous serving of salmon in the "Egg Royale". The mocha was disappointing though. Has power sockets and WiFi for you to study/work. Second level doesn't have aircon, only small fans around the place.

Quite easily accessible from Tanjong Pagar MRT. Had the rosti there which I thought was really delicious and quite filling actually even though the portions were not in that much. Coffee there was pretty decent. On the day that we went, the place was rather warm, not in a good way. My opinion is that the food is slightly pricey but otherwise a decent cafe

Items on the menu are typical ones you'd find in many cafes. Food was decent and relatively affordable. Cinnamon bun was a tad bit too dense though. The place was not overly crowded during weekday lunches and is generally a nice place for a quiet lunch. One negative is that it got very stuffy halfway though lunch and made us pretty uncomfortable!
Reuben Blackie (14/01/2017 13:32)
Tasty coffee, friendly staff. They had a good selection of pastries and the main meals looked good although I didn't try
Kiran Veeramallu (08/01/2017 08:21)
Pretty nice place for brunch, reasonably priced around 15 to 18 dollars for full brrakfast. Coffe is great too
Joel Chia (07/01/2017 16:45)
Nice ambience on the second floor. Do note that the second level is mostly air ventilated with the help of a couple of fans.
Delicious ice mocha, although their consistency has to improve.

Quiet place with rather plain decor and stools for seating. Fortunately what they lack in comfort is made up for by having excellent coffee. Probably a good place for students to come study. Free WiFi is available.
Didn't like that they wouldn't make a soy latte for me despite having soy milk. "We feel it compromises the taste". Well, being lactose intolerant also compromises enjoyment of a latte. Settled for a long black.
