I visited Singapore in April 2018 and enjoyed the Duck Tours very much. I had the opportunity to interact with one of the employee - Mr. Winston, and let me tell you, he made feel as though we've been an acquaintance for years. A very hospitable gentleman to say the least. He is a very talkative person, and he was able to alert me to numerous events and features being offered by the Duck and City Tours of Singapore. Mr. Winston is the ideal person for his position at the City Center, and if it weren't for him, I would not have seen the many attractions that I saw and experience in Singapore.

We just had a poor service experience with Hippo tours. Be aware that if you buy the HippoPass Card along with your tour that not all attractions accept the card and you must obtain attraction tickets through Hippo/Duck Tours directly or at random lovations. This would have been fine had they informed us.
We were not provided the pass guidebook or told this information even though we specifically asked about it. (We were only provided the tour map and coupon book, neither of which had this info. BTW - this info is not explained in their website either as far as I could find. In fact they say part of the value of the card is that you DO NOT have to get tickets.) We showed up at Skypark in the evening & had to alter our plans.
When we provided this feedback to the Suntec location they essentially accused us of lying. That they MUST have provided us the info and guidebook. They did not. We were just giving them service feedback and not asking for anything - but they did not apologize and continued to assert that they MUST have given us the guidebook/information. Very poor customer service experience. Too bad - because the tour itself was great! Customer service tip - don’t accuse your customer who just spent $300 SG with you of lying. Honestly one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve had in my life.

the duck tours is very fantastic because it gives you a tour on land and on water that is why you can see the different attractions within the area. Our tour guide named James is very approachable, he is very knowledgeable and willing to offer help to each and anyone of the tourist specially when it comes to tips and directions. a 1 hour tour is very worth the time and effort because it duck tours is worth your money.

Most disappointing pass ever to buy. You need to stand in ticket line for every attraction and ticket counters are not easy to locate at all. You will waste 20 minutes looking for ticket counters for this pass.. most places don’t even recognize this pass.. this is a complete rip off.

This was a complete disappointment. The location was very hard to find, which didn't help but the whole thing is such a rip off. It cost $43 and lasted for 46 minutes. The commentary was hard to follow. The land part consists of a short drive past a few historical buildings very close to SunTec. My advice would be to avoid this overpriced and underwhelming experience. No-one rang the bell to indicate enjoyment on the trip I was on, and the gratuties box remained empty!

7 lines to chose. The biggest number of lines I have seen in my life. You can buy the Singapore pass for the attractions. Even though if you look at the website (payment page) says that you need to purchase the pass online at least 2 days before picking it up, in fact you can just show up and buy your desired pass. Punctual. Offers seats inside with air conditioning or outside (upper deck). Be careful if it’s going to rain and you seat outside. You will at least need an umbrella or, if it rains heavy, you should go downstairs. Definitely one of the Must Dos of Singapore.

Tours are really good. But staff is unfriendly. It is really hard to find bus stops and office. I asked to add better information how to reach 'tourist hub 1' because it takes too much time to find it. Instead of taking my note in account they tried to make me guilty. They started to say I should investigate place better before I go. However they said that a lot of tourist have problems finding this place. So staff just don't care about tourists, and have no hospitality culture.

I've lived in Singapore 19 years and today for the first time did the Duck tour and was surprised how good it actually is. James or tour guide was extremely good at giving the tourist the marked areas and even took the time to take pictures for the passengers.

I went on this tour and seriously injured myself due to poor safety briefings before we were allowed to embark. I sustained an L4 muscular tear after an abrupt entering of the river from the land, I was in so much pain on the tour I cried through most of it - the tour guide just sat and looked at me and didn't even ask if I was okay. When I got off the vessel, there still wasn't any concern for my health, despite me barely being able to disembark.
The company advised to email them my medical treatment etc and have never replied to any emails I have sent, not even to acknowledge receipt (I know it was received, due to the generic 'thanks for your email' reply I got).

Staff very unfriendly. I have Two kids and they want us to sit separately! The staff just refused to help to arrange the seats! All they keep saying is there is nothing they can do!

Ok ish. Unique experience but I wouldn't recommend it as a must try.
*Side Note: Do check your tickets to avoid being scammed.

Fun tour. Cost us $37 and $27 for kid, but would recommend to all tourists. We had already seen most of the points on the tour but the perspective from on the water and the knowledge of the guide made it worthwhile. Get there early and grab a seat near the front away from the noisy engine. Unique

Great way to soak in the history of Singapore. The guide was very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend the ducktours at least once.

It is a quick historical tour of Singapore on an amphibian. And you can have a good vantage point for photo-ops.

One of the best tours I have taken in Singapore. The water floating truck will take you through the Singapore Lake across the Marina Bay. More than the visuals I loved the presentation of the guide. She had a good presentation on the past and future of Singapore. If you visit Singapore this is a must do.

A really good experience. I had duck tour in here and also in Malacca. You couldnt compare. But I prefer Singapore here, their service is way better

Good for Family activity...Not much excitement, but worth 1 hour brief tour to know about Singapore. Nice tour guide.

Short way to know singapore and look around some icon places of sg.
Anesh Singh (29/12/2016 16:40)
This is a uniquely Singaporean experience and well worth the cost. The tour lasts about 1 hour on land and in the water. The duck is a weird yet amazing machine.
Our live commentator Leong Kian was brilliant. He was knowledgeable, fluent and had a brilliant sense of humor.
I highly recommend this activity.

Did a tour of the Orchard Road Christmas lights. Spent most of the tour in traffic on backroads. Much better to just walk the route instead
Pavel Dundee (23/09/2016 03:49)
The tour experience was spoilt already during the ticket purchase by Alan. On request to buy five tickets for the brown line ($23), he would keep on telling you there's nothing to see on this line and you are better to buy red line for $43. Even after I assured him we are fine with the brown, he would still nag we do mistake and should buy the more expensive. Unfriendly and unprofessional attitude.

Horrible tour.. I was with my family and the driver said my tickets had expired and asked me to get off. That is very embarrassing. He was suppose to take us to the hub where our tickets will be issued. I had to take a taxi from my hotel...the concierge at grand Hyatt did a better job of telling me what to do than your rude driver.
On stop another, after waiving to the driver so we can get on since we have a baby, the driver closed the door and was about the move the bus, leaving us behind without having any patience. What is going on ?? Why the hurry we are a family with 2 children.

Quite exciting, go around the city and can have sightseeing both on road and in the river.
Greg Dalin (21/06/2016 11:48)
It was a excellent tour, I didn't do the boat one as I think it's dumb.. But the hippo buses are great when you want to see the most of Singapore in a day!
Derrick Stoltz (22/05/2016 14:49)
This is your first time in Singapore? Take this Tour and buy a 48h ticket to drive to the most popular sightseeing points in the City. You can hop in and out, very useful feature to explore the different districts like Chinatown or Little India! Have fun and don't forget a hat if you sit on the upper level of the bus! :)

It was an exciting and unique experiences for kids ride on a remodeled WWII amphibious Vietnamese war craft. It took you to major landmarks and tourist attractions in the bay area. The tour guide will tell you a lot about the history of each place it ride through.

Booked a two-day pass for the BigBus Tour. Wonderful city, excellent routes. But maybe a one-day pass is enough.
