Great food an vine choice, but very slow service. And a piece of foil in pasta was really disappointed.

service could be much much better. A.c. wasn't working properly today. Food us still good for consolation.

My dish was great, the duck conflit. But my husband was not satisfied with his burger at all. Pavlova was fantastic, profiterol as well.

Classy upmarket joint. I personally think they are great for fish, wine and cheese. But one star off as their prices are on the high side. Still very enjoyable and a good place for networking and business lunches.

Great steak at better pricing than high class steak house. They are a butchery cum restaurant. You shop for your meat at the side and pay a token price for them to cook. Good selection of meat! Wine list is good too.

Nice place for steak. We get to choose the beef at the counter with the price of each piece properly tagged. Preparation fees will be an additional of $15 per steak. There is a rather wide range of beef to choose from at different price points. There is also a wide selection of wine displayed out for you to self-pick from. Waiting time for them to prepare the 2 pieces of steak was quite fast. Approximately 20min.

I love the place for its selection of fish, cheeses and wine. Always well cooked. Prices are on the higher side but you do get what you pay for with the quality produce. It's a great place to meet friends and for networking lunches.

Always a very laid back and friendly ambiance good for networking dinners and luncheons. Concept of choosing your meat and clams is simply super!

Delicious sea bass, steak and oysters - freshly flown in from the South of France. Great rose wine too.

A go to place for oysters, modern European food. Packed on weekend lunchtimes. Has a decent French and western pantry, including western and North African and Middle Eastern spices and spice mixes, the latter being great with bbq
A decent cheese selection and great meats and seafood (inc. those oysters) to buy.

Food is not bad. At Culina you get to choose your own steaks, but the highlight here for me are the oysters. Always back for oysters!

This place has good ambience for dinner. You get to choose and buy the raw meat first before telling the chef how you want them cooked. Good place for a gathering with close friends or business associates though most people probably won't find the taste mind blowing. This place also sells a wide varieties of wines. Parking space is not easy to find during peak hours. Overall prices are on the moderate side compared to similar restaurants.

Fresh food but definitely on the pricey side. Had starter, main course and dessert with coffee and bill was over $100 for lunch.

Culina serves quality food but it's slightly erratic each time I go. I love their salads and their fish dishes, and they have a wide selection of cheeses as well. Service can get a little frantic during peak hour but on off peak hours, it can be quite a delight.

Good food, fresh and classic French preparations. Service is a little sloppy but not terribly so. Great place for dinner or a formal lunch.

Service is sub-par level to command its overpriced menu. Ingredients are normal tasting... Anyone can cook better. Seems to be favorable to an expatriate community. But with such prices lackluster services, better off spending the same amount at Valentino's.

My colleagues and I met here for a farewell lunch for one colleague on a Friday at 12:30pm. We flagged one caucasian waitress to take our orders twice but she kept telling us to wait while she took orders from other diners.
Two of us ordered glasses of warm water but it took them half an hour to serve us when the flask was just behind our table...
Food took some time to arrive as well but tasted good. Only the male causasian manager was attentive in serving us...

Has a lot of potential but comes up short. Grocery section selection has shrunk overtime sadly. Food is decent bit service inconsistent.

Not cheap, but very good European seafood.
Especially love the octopus! The octopus leg was so soft that I could cut it into think slice with my ordinary knife.
Mussel from France yummy and sweet.
Good choice for western seafood cuisine.

Has been here now for some years and the same concept as Jones in the opposite building - except this is focused on French (european) foods, kitchen wares and wines for sale. It also has tables outside and serves up food from the smallish restaurant - also small dishes for having with wine or just coffee and sweets.
Informal dining style and usually has the expat-housewives there ( if you do not like that then avoid )
When we are in Dempsey hill this makes an option for a reasonably priced bottle of vino, table outside and just a few snack items - we've tried a number of items and share a couple of mains but its only ok. The better thing with here is that its got better wine than Jones
It never really seems to be so busy but we are only ever here lunch or afternoons

A fine establishment located in the not so accessible Dempsey Hill.
Holds a vast selection of different beef cuts each of different grades. Select your beef at the counter and top up an additional $20 to have it grilled and delivered.
The cuts are thick, juicy and perfect for any steak lover. Give it a go.

Good food. Good products but horribly expensive. An "elite" place?. We never end up buying so many things. Overpriced in my opinion

Being a food distributors, the quality of the meat served is satisfying. Come early for brunch or it gets crowded.

It's a nice and cozy place to hang out with your friends, but be prepared to spend. The meat looks delicious but they have few vegetarian choices. The service was good and reasonably fast. I would go back there.
