Excellent food and service. Staff are friendly and food is still excellent although the quality of the food has gone down a little bit.

If you like xiao long bao…
Come for the free flow… and get to eat steamboat as well.
Samanthe Chong (05/04/2018 01:47)
Steamboat is available here with 2 different seating timing. We took the 8.30PM one and gets to dine till 10PM. Comes with complimentary plate of prawns.

Good food from Crystal Jade as usual! If you are a noodle fan, the La Mian dishes and selection does not disappoint! Found out also that they have the steamboat buffet at this outlet as well. If you are going for the steamboat buffet, please do book in advance as it is quite packed during mealtimes.

Very tasty XLB on the same level as Paradise Dynasty and Din Tai Fung, although a little bit more on the expensive side.
Other dishes are good too. Portions are pretty generous and service is fast.
Definitely a good place for Sunday dinner!

The service of the food was very slow. Our order for a dish was not served even we had finished our main courses, which was 1 hour later. La Mian was good and QQ. But the Seafood fried rice was bland.

Went here twice in a month.
Once for a farewell dinner on a friday night and the place was jam packed but the food was so good that I convinced my wife to go again 2 weeks after.
But the second visit wasn't as good as the first. This time around we went on a Sunday evening. And there isnt much people. But the soup was bland and service is lacking this time around. Though the Xiao Long Bao still retain its standard.

Fast efficient service for Cantonese style dim sum and dishes. Ordered the xiao loong pau and noodles. Tasty and value for the quality/portions.

Food quality; decent. Service quality; unpleasant night for us
David Yeo (15/10/2017 03:50)
Average, maybe a little better than average. Overpriced for the service standard and quality as a whole.
Allison Ong (29/09/2017 06:45)
Free flow of Crystal Jade xiao long bao. Enough said
Fuji Misato (07/08/2017 02:51)
The famous buffet is not really worth the money and is limited in choices. The ala cart menu are a different story.
Jane Sung (19/07/2017 05:48)
Came here for their buffet. Pork bone soup is my Favourite. The free flow of xiaolongbao is what's great here. The rest of the ingredients are pretty average :)

This is a bread and butter Chinese restaurant. Food is tasty and price is reasonable.
Max Png (12/07/2017 17:28)
Good for the classics. Xiao long bao, la Mian, Guo tie. Portions might have gotten smaller over the years but quality is maintained.
Peter Teoh (30/06/2017 03:06)
Enjoy eating there. Given the pressure to leave the place as soon as we finish, at least I have the reasons not to sit there and waste time. Thanks.

XLB is the besttT!!!! i like it alot! good service.
Albert Teo (10/06/2017 13:12)
Low quality food at a relatively high price point. Time limit makes eating rushed. Do yourself a favor and go to HDL instead.
Lukas Kwan (09/04/2017 13:43)
Deluxe local Chinese cuisine! One of the best roasted meat and chinese noodles.
Jenna D (03/04/2017 23:53)
Good standard xlb steamboat buffet, worth the money! At 30.80++/pax, you get unlimited xlb served, 2 soup bases and great variety of steamboat choices.
Luke Phang (21/03/2017 11:51)
Moderately nice xiao long bao buffet, which tends to get overly crowded during peak hours, as they have only limited slots. Place is enough to satisfy your craving, but don't expect great service or food.
Eva Su (21/03/2017 03:19)
usually we sit downstairs for quick bites. the service is not as good as ding tai fun but less crowded. the food quality is ok.. most people come for the steamboat so it seems to be long queue. but if you want only simple meal, such as noodles or soup, it's a ok place to go.
Loh Nicholas (10/03/2017 16:36)
Had the buffet. Have to eat in a rush. Duration was shorten from 2 hours previously to 1.5 hours now and staff will constantly remind and chase u. Not worth in my opinion. At this buffet price, I rather pay a la crate to enjoy my xlb slowly.
Jeremy Kieran Ng (03/03/2017 08:19)
For xiao long bao buffets, come here
Jennifer Lim Jennifer Lim (21/02/2017 07:47)
Vermicelli with duck meat is too salty, Niu Lan HK Noodle has beef only and not tendon. They take a long time to clear plates and table became so cluttered and messy. 😣

Value for money steamboat & xiao long bao buffet
Adrianus Prima (16/02/2017 10:22)
You should try their xiao long bau buffet. Worth the price!
Janice Huang (22/01/2017 10:49)
The xiao long bao buffet is value for money.

Not cheap mediocre food
xiaolongbao 小笼包 today (we had 2 trays) was substandard, way below par. very different from one of the best i had always enjoyed here, soup was still sweet but not as much, & skin & fillings were not good as many others i had, just very mediocre la…saliva chicken 口水鸡 still tasted good..beef brisket lamian 牛腩拉面 my daughter’s favourite. she still liked it today.i tasted a bit but i think that sicc’s version was still much better, both the soup & the briskets/tendons.the best here for me was the seafood fried rice in spicy xo sauce.rice was so fragrant, individual grain. we say “tio tio” in teochew. good amount of ingredients. quantity seemed to have shrink quite a bit for S$14.80.price for lunch was not cheap at S$61 for 3pax for the quality of food.

You can never go wrong with all you can eat Xiao Long Bao! Would really recommend this restaurant if you have a big appetite. Otherwise, you can opt for having a late dinner here (past 10pm) for a discount. Do take note of the time of different batches, because they do rush you off if you don't do finish on time...

Late night hotpot and xiao long bao buffet. Great deals for a late dinner in holland village
Chua Boon Kiat (05/07/2016 19:03)
Best hot pot and Xiao Long Bao! Buffet style! Abit pricey buts it's all worth! Remember to call for reservations !
Shirley The musfaery (09/05/2016 15:03)
Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao offers both ala carte and buffet menus. On Mother's Day, there are four sessions of steamboat buffet at 5:00-6:30 pm, 6:45-8:15 pm, 8:30-10:00 pm, and 10:15-11:45 pm. Reservation is a must as the buffet is in high demand. The highlight of the buffet is the steamed soupy pork dumplings (xiao long bao). We ordered two types of soups, Szechuan pepper and chicken. The food was fresh, tasty, and more than sufficient for all of us. We rounded the meal with osmanthus jelly, grass jelly with fruits, and two smallish mantou. The only concerned is that diners have exactly 1.5 hours to finish their meal. No grace period is given. :p
Jason Lim (15/03/2016 05:25)
All hail xlb buffet (dinner only, around $30)! Difficult to get booking unless call a day or two before, or go at 5.30. Other than the buffet just like any other crystal jade Cantonese style restaurant you would expect.
Time limit might be tight because xlb takes some time to come out so order ahead.
Ali Chua (13/03/2016 01:30)
Decent quality xiao long baos, especially so for their evening hot pot buffet. Different timings have different price points (the later it is the cheaper it gets). Gets the job done, but nothing too fanciful.
Fei Fei Chiam (01/02/2016 10:22)
Used to be the greatest ramen place. Used to be our family's favourite dining restaurant that we patronised every week. At least once every week.
The only one that had a Chef making fresh ramen on demand, in many different types/shapes, e.g. Triangle ramen, dragon beard ramen, knives slided ramen, double slit ramen etc.
Unfortunately, last year end (2015) they withdrew all the ramen masters 拉面师傅 (Chef who make fresh ramen on the spot). Ever since then, the ramen quality has dropped sharply. It's no longer special and the ramen is not nice anymore... Now, it's just another restaurant, similar to all other Chinese ramen restaurants in this category.
Hope that they will bring back the ramen master/chefs again! Missed the freshly made triangle ramen.
