Tried to apply for a credit card in branch and the whole process is very backwards. No one contacted me for a week until I called in myself twice. First time, the rep was super inexperienced and did not know anything. Second time I called in (which was a day after the first time I called), they said my application got rejected with no reason indicated on file. No assurance whatsoever of confirming that somebody will call me back. SUPER disappointed in the service and the whole application process.

Worst service on earth. Freakin frustrating not being able to get done anything after waiting around for half an hour- something as simple as adding joint account holder. We got shuffled around from downstairs and upstairs and no one could give us clear answer as to if this is possible or not. Don't understand why this is so difficult. People weren't even remotely apologetic about the fact that they weren't able to service us. This is not the first time I've had terrible experience dealing with Citibank.

Citibank is still plentiful in southeast asia unlike europe and canada where they are basically gone. However, be aware of charges if you are from overseas. Even if you are a citibank customer you will incur fees. If you call them ahead of time like I did they will tell you there will be no atm fees which is correct. But what they will neglect to tell you is that they will still charge a foreign fee conversion. Use a bank that won't charge you any usage, access or conversion fees for overseas atm.
