If you want to visit the Buddha tooth relic temple, you should get down here. The Chinatown market is nearby and you can also go to the Maxwell food centre for some nice cuisine.

If you happen to be here, it’s worth to visit Chinatown complex to find some unique and funny items from mainland. Sometimes you will be inspired by its design.
Chinatown pion, it’s easy to visit as it’s directly liked from MRT station. I was surprised the Fairprice here! many rare item can be seen and it’s quite big so you won’t be get bored so much...if you like to do shopping.
Near MRT station, there’re a lot of good seafood restaurant and dessert shop!
It’s nice to visit at night to see the lighting decoration:)
But after midnight you need to care a bit of your belongings:)

A good station to get off of if you want to head down through to China Town. If you cross the viaduct to the other side of the street there is a hawkers market well worth a visit if you are hungry.

Since parking space is at a premium in Singapore, especially in the city centre, tourists like me don't quite prefer driving downtown when it comes to visiting the Lion City's places of interest. I managed to find a parking space near the Chinatown MRT Station, though. Interestingly, the middle of Pagoda Street in the heart of Chinatown (near the MRT Station) is a must-visit place because there are lots of shops selling cheap souvenirs. 😊👍

Good interchange and like many of the stations in Singapore, it is very well signed. There are washrooms here which are pretty clean considering the footfall. Tends to always be a busy station.

Singapore Chinatown ~ A fascinating iconic area where trade bartering places of worship could be traced back to the colonial time. Beautiful buildings of old that were well preserved eagerly waiting for visitors to explore and discover a page in the past. Lots of things to see, delicious food to sample and knick knacks to buy. A haven where all your senses are engaged. Good to visit in the evening where it is cooler. Best times to soak in the atmosphere are Chinese lunar new year during January/February and September/October in celebration of the mid autumn festival.

I went on Sunday and it's so beautiful to go there in the evening, it's usually crowded but you can walk around, it has everything you need to get to know a little bit of China, clothes, souvenirs, bags, make up, accessories, China crafts, typical Chinese food (the thing is that you have to understand a little Chinese cause there's no English translation in the traditional food area and they will call you in every ways they can to buy in their restaurant, they insist), but its all for a very good price, and still has some local things from Singapore, and it's safe, but I believe that safety it's something basic in Singapore, and I love it!

Fabulous. The true essence of the Orient.
Beautifully maintained old buildings, dozens of well priced stalls, cafe & attractions. Everyone speaks good English & the area is clean and well maintained.
A place not to be missed.

I love Chinatown in the night. This area became more attractive with those sparkling lamps along the roads. I went to Chinatown Singapore twice and this is my favorite place in Singapore. So relaxing for foods hunt or shopping.
