Visited the outlet at 441 Balestier Road to get ceiling lights for my bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms. As mentioned by another reviewer, the choices aren't of the fancy variety, but if you are looking for simple designs, would recommend this place. The saleslady Annie is knowledgeable and also patiently answered my numerous questions.

Looking for lights and chanced upon Chan Huat Lighting House. Attended to by a knowledgeable and helpful staff. Will be back to make my purchase. Price is competitive around that area.

Nice place. They have 4 branches within Balestier road. Good selection of goods. I felt goods are reasonably priced.

I've been to all three Balestier branches of Chan Huat. Although I couldn't find the light I wanted, I would love to comment that the staff in all branches were kind and attentive to me.
I'll definitely visit this shop again for another type of light I need.

Terrible experience from Chan Huat Lightings. Bought 6 ceiling lights from them, served by the sales guy Ah Hua. No delivery as my purchase was only $450. I'm fine with it and arranged to self collect on Sun. I called them before i went down to check on electrician to do installation. This guy Ah Hua sounded impatient n told me to come down to collect my goods and then make arrangement. I was really very piss off when i went down, he told me that since i'm using their electrician i do not need to collect the goods, the electrician will bring down when going to do installation!! What a terrible service n attitude!!!! Can't he just tell me over the phone instead of making me go all the way down??? There is no after sales service n more like a hit n run business!!

I am very impressed with their service. The LED dining light which I bought from them several months ago was faulty and they got me a new piece. Trustworthy seller.

Went during the weekend and they were busy...lots of people. I was there looking for something and then after wondering about for 20min, a lady came to help. Told her i m looking for a specific size holder for LED bulbs. My question is very straight forward, don't understand why she need to question me with to confirm. once she found the holder, i ask her how much is it. and she ask me back what color i wanted. why can't she just tell me the price of both and then let me decide which i wanted ?
I wasn't done yet but she went off to serve someone else because she thought i wasn't going to buy. after like 10 min, she came back and ask me how is it. I ask her if there are any other choices...she just walked away.
So i hang around looking at some other lightings.....all the sales people are like in a hurry....and the attitude is like "want to buy buy, don't ask so many questions , we are very busy as you can see".
If they are in the business of dealing solely with contractors, then they should just leave it as that. otherwise when consumers are there searching for something and asking questions, they should spend time to answer them .

bought a couple of thousand dollars worth of various lightings from this shop at balestier road. Although the range of lightings displayed is rather good, but the after sales service is bad. They refused to exchange a lamp for me when I realised I made a wrong purchase and this was before the product is even delivered to my house!! I pleaded with them but they refused, indicating it is their store policy that they DO NOT entertain any exchange. The manager, Junie, refused to answer my call or attend to me once the sales is closed. She was nice and candid before the sales was done.
I had 3 bad drivers of the various led lights that I bought and 3 out of the 4 lamps that I bought were faulty.
Do not patronise this shop otherwise you will regret like I do. I will give it a zero rating if I could.
