Nice place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and the staff are very delighted to serve you. Will go back there again. Cheers

Great service, good recovery! They initially mixed up our dishes, but immediately came to apologise and replacing our dishes, and gave us some desserts on the house.

We always wanted to visit this cafe because of the nice photos of this place we saw online. Overall it is a vintage place, but the food is so so only.

2.5/5 for the Food. I ordered the Pulled Pork with Egg Benedict. Each component/element of the dish doesn’t compliment each other. The combination makes the whole dish seems weird.

The egg itself is nice, but can’t really taste the Hollandais sauce (Ah... disappointing...). Then the pulled pork is too sweet. And the bread underneath is kind of soggy... but the orange-favored salad dressings is refreshing though.

2.5/5 for the coffee. I ordered a latte. Normal coffee blend. Spinelli one is much nicer.

2/5 for the Value. It’s a little bit overpriced. Around 23 bucks for the brunch with coffee.

4/5 for the Ambience. The vintage decorations make this place unique and cosy. It would be nice to chill here in the afternoon with a cup of coffee.

Drinks and ambience are great, but it would be nice to enjoy the drink in a proper glass rather than a plastic cup.

Pastry always looks so good here. Thank goodness I live no where close to this place or I'll be here every day. Love their passionfruit meringue tart and I see that they've introduced new items to their menu. All looking good!

Probably because I love vintage items, the moment I stepped into the cafe, I fell in love with it. The food presentation was beautiful with the use of those vintage English plates. The food that I had tasted great. A wonderful place for a afternoon tea, brunch, lunch & dinner. Service was good too.

It's a whimsical cafe with a swing outdoor. Feels like someone's kitchens or dining table from the 80s. Their cakes are fantastic and they are on entertainer app 1-4-1. Walking distance from Beauty world station. Recommend strawberry shortcake which is very moist and tiramisu. Earl Grey lavender has super strong lavender flavor, might not suit all.

Great skinny flat white with a smokey flavour. Nice ambience, friendly crew but do expect a crowd during meal hours.

Cozy café with super awesome sweets. I luv the Yuzu cheesecake and Cinnamon Roll here.

It seems to be always crowded and you may have to wait for a table. It’s worth coming here for the desserts and smoothies, the main dishes fell short of expectations. The chocolate sea salt caramel tart is my favorite and so indulgent.

Cakes taste hard, like they have been left out for long time. Coffee so so. Used to be better.

The ambiance is good; filled with retro-wares, friendly staff, tables with sewing machine legs! Pastries are intricately prepared. Coffee reminds me of Italy. Overall, a good place to come back again and again.

Food made and served with love. Service is friendly, and the place is not crowded. Good ambience and would definitely come here to relax. Flat white is good.

Nice ambience, comfortable seats. Iced Latte is smooth. Not many people, good to chill out

Liana Lai (11/06/2017 09:33)
Nice and good selection of desserts, pastries and coffee. Cozy ambience and friendly staff

Si Ya Tan (06/05/2017 05:55)
a good place to chill. Do take note that the space is small and seats are limited. Serves drinks / small bites only!

Zongyin Li (23/04/2017 04:11)
It's all about the ambience. Really cosy feel. Food is decent, but on the pricey side.

Brian Neu (17/04/2017 15:46)
Loved the furniture. Decent baked goods. Coffee could have a bit more of a kick.

Cyrus Hsu (15/04/2017 08:05)
Nice place to chill. No GST and service charge. So expect to serve yourself and enjoy the atmosphere. Lighting is dark for reading. Good for chatting.

Jye SR (04/03/2017 07:57)
Delicious tarts and cakes. Very interesting decor and (almost) everything is for sale!

Andrew Chionh (04/03/2017 01:05)
Nice place to chill out and chit chat with friends in the evening. Serves nice coffee, teas pastries and craft beers too

Eugene Ching (08/01/2017 08:03)
Lovely place with a nice selection of tarts, pastries and drinks. Some of the vintage furniture at Carpenter & Cook that are being displayed on their shelves and even the dining tables can be purchased if they suit your fancy.

Alex Hollingworth (08/12/2016 01:01)
Great little place. Whether you want a simple coffee, an indulgent cake or something more filling they have you covered. Friendly staff, good prices.

Going for a retro vibe with lots of old 70's, 80's 90's stuff as part of the decor and furniture. As well as some random things like old school desks, chairs and alike

As a former T2 Diabetic I am still looking for Low GI bakes and cakes! Sad to see that advanced and usually food savvy Singapore is failing here big time. Cosy place. Americano too small and a bit sour. Not sure what beans they use but it all boils down to what water you use for your teas and brews and in Singapore, sadly enough that is mostly unfiltered PUB!!! Other than that price/quality good. Nearby parking lot +point.

Poor Coffee OK Cakes
i ordered the tea for 2 S$19.50 which included 2 cakes. the server recommended the passion fruit meringue tart & the earl grey lavendar loaf. & we had 2 flat white. she said it was S$3 cheaper to get the combo, & it was! the last time i came was a year ago on 10.4.2015. i thought the coffee was ok. but today my flat white was very poor. very dilute not much aroma & not smooth, silky, velvety like a good flat white should be in the other coffee places. i am never taking coffee here again! the friends were divided on the cakes. some prefer the tart & some the earl grey loaf. the earl grey flavour was good. i too generally prefer a tart to a pound cake. the passion fruit meringue tart was a bit too sweet. i bought some cakes back for my daughters. the chocolate tart was very good. the lemon meringue was again too sweet. of the 4 i think the chocolate tart was the best.for me coffee was priority so not good coffee then not coming again la.

Good coffee and pastries/baked goods. I was here on a busy weekend afternoon but service was good so it wasn't a long wait. If you're in a big group it might be difficult to get seats.

Loong Lee (21/08/2016 08:51)
Nice ambience with lots of antiques everywhere.

We had carrot cake (still cannot beat the carrot cake at Holland V pancake shop), earl grey and caffe latte.

I must say I've had one of the nicest latte which is not too strong and harsh with nice fragrant. It's my first time drinking latte without sugar!

Will come back again and try other recommended stuff.

I love the ambience and if you have time to chat with the lady owners, hear their stories of flea market shopping in the European isles! Although tucked away in a nondescript corner, patrons seem to come from afar so they seem to have a pretty positive reputation. I love the tarts because they are so delicate (& pricey!) and tasty. A great place to spend the hour, have a great conversation and such.

Heng Tan (27/06/2016 02:21)
Nice pastries, decent coffee and ambience. Great service from the staff here..

Tracy Ye (12/06/2016 12:17)
I gave it 4 stars out of 5 for overall experience:
as the staff heated up our pastries without being told.
So that was nice.

Cuppacino was so-so.
Plain Scone: nice and fluffy
Chocolate croissant was alright.
(2 coffees, 2 pastries= 16+)

Decent selection of granolas, marshmellows, some cakes and tarts.

Good use of old wares from overseas.
Some has price tags on it.
Ie: director's chair next to bathroom basin.
Various set of teacups upon entering the cafe.
Jusf to name a few.

We left as soon as we finished as we were sharing a large table with 2 other groups of people(2 & 3).
Its tricky to have a convo w/o people listening in or vice versa.

Liow Ruo Yu (22/04/2016 10:43)
Desserts are a tad pricey; would recommend the sea salt chocolate tart. Located about 15 mins walk from beauty world mrt station.

Regina Elon Hephzibah (17/04/2016 23:33)
With its eclectic decor, you may want to bring home more than the delectable spread of fresh bakes and coffee, maybe a chair or even a table (with a price of course) home?
Love the eclectic decor. Depending on the time of the day you choose to go, there maybe a crowd.
Tried the Banoffee Tart and Valrhona Sea Salt Caramel Tart that were both so yummy. The coffee was smooth, but nothing to rave about.

Had a Cinnamon Roll for dessert after a hearty dinner... wow, it was warm, sweet and flaky! Pairing it with a hot cuppa and a buddy to enjoy with, this Wednesday evening cannot get any better. Beautiful and cosy interior that had us lingering for hours!
