Close to the pad.. taste of America. Free flow of salsa, jalapenos, fountain drinks, ice tea. Just like the States. Why complain?

Having lost 12.4 kg since coming to Singapore about two months ago, I decided to try the venue for my weekly sunday cheat meal. It's the first time eating here, and I was drawn into the restaurant by their nice looking key visual food ads.
Approached the counter to make my order. A staff member named Danny (great name BTW), helped me. I had difficulty hearing what he said and had to ask him to repeat himself several times. But he was helpful and friendly.
I went for the chili cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake. Never been a fan of soda. The food was delivered to my table - but not at the same time. First came the burger and fries. The milkshake came several minutes later from a kind auntie. Why they didn't make it simultaneously I don't know. The place was almost empty, so it probably wasn't due to lack of time.
I was quite surprised to find that my burger didn't have any kind of chili what so ever. The sauce was more like brown gravy - not at all what I expected. A bit disappointing. The meat was good though. The cheese seemed to be standard mass produced individually wrapped factory cheddar slice. I was expecting better cheese, considering the price point. The fries were acceptable, but no salt, dip or ketchup was to be seen anywhere in the restaurant. I found that surprising, considering that many cheaper competitors have this as a standard. I finished the burger but only a few fries. After a couple of them, they just tasted dry and dull without any dip. They were crispy enough though. The best part of the meal was the milkshake. Tasted great!
After the meal, I couldn't help but feel it was a bit of a waste of calories. I really hate McDonalds as a company, and never eat there due to principal reasons, but I would have been more satisfied in taste (and wallet) had I gone there instead.
Tips for the restaurant management:
- Maybe simplify the menu a bit. I found it quite confusing.
- Menu items should live up to their description. A chili cheese burger should contain chili.. Didn't say brown gravy anywhere.
- Staff training to emphasize clear communication and serving of all meal components at the same time.
- Salt, ketchup and dip sauced for fries

Always fancy their burgers for grilled chicken. Love their jalapeño.

Quality burgers, not very crowded. On the more expensive side for fast food but well worth it. They used to have many outlets but not any more. the chicen tenders are huge and the burgers filling. Have a self service section for salsa and sauce
