Horrible. I stayed at their 8-bed room and got 3 bedbug bites. What's worse was they charged me a full amount prepayment, then asked me to pay again by cash at check in but never refunded the prepayment. I asked them nicely several times about this matter by email but they totally ignored them. A month later, I visited to this place again to ask about it, but they said that they have released the fund on my checkout date without being able to provide any evidence. If you don't want to pay double for a bad hostel, don't stay at this place.

CHECK THE RECENT REVIEWS and do not stay there. We have booked it for 7 nights and after 2 we could not stand it any longer and booked a hotel, even though we knew there would be no refund for the remaining nights. The lobby looks alright, but it is the only good area, almost like a scam. After signing and paying, we have been given a bag full of paper cups with instant oatmeal (our breakfast for the week) and then taken to a depressing windowless room with nothing but a bare concrete filled with mold, dust and tightly packed bunk beds (with bedbugs). This place is completely run down - photos online are simply a lie, must have been taken years ago. The man’s bathrooms are dirty, hot and unbearably humid, especially on the third floor. The clientele is mostly local workers, going in and out throughout the night.
I have no idea how it keeps its online ranking. If you think that I am exaggerating and still booked a stay there, ask to see the room and bathroom before signing and paying, you will save your money.

I am easy going type, so I think quality goes with the price. Hostel had basic facilities, many bathrooms, bed comfortable. Very close to MRT and straight to airport, love it. Recommend for solo traveller.

One the best price to stay in singapore with all the amenities they can offer. Hopefully they fix some minor defects in the toilet. Other than that everything is nice. Just hope all the guest stayed knows how to wash their own dishes after used 😑

A good place to stay for bachelors and solo tourist.
Wifi is good and separate dining area is been there to cook.
Had a comfortable stay over there. Value for money.
No towels, no brush, and paste.
The receptionist doesn't have a proper English accent. Hard to understand their reply

Nice place to stay during the trip. Comfort and clean. Not all the rooms are mix dorm, there are rooms for female/male only. I thought we'll get an Asian breakfast, but they only serve American breakfast (coffee, milk, and cereals). This hostel only takes 10 steps to nearest MRT station.

A huge bonus is the new train station right at the doorstep. First three stays with them were superb. But when I returned in December '17, place was overcrowded and very run down. Also messed up my booking and I had to wait until the evening for my bed. Lounge facilities are there, but not what they once were. Toilets are run down and the ground floor access door to the rooms were not functioning and so any bloke off the street could just walk right into the hallways. To be very honest, they are still up and running, so if you're looking for the lowest rates in town, they're the place to be. Rooms are still tip top, beds clean and comfortable, privacy and security present. Just the public spaces are not as well kept. I may return if they decide to renovate, but until then, not my first choice

If you're planning to go to Singapore and you have kinda limited budget. You must consider staying here. It's always full. Book in advance and as early as possible. The price is ranging only between SGD 23 to 25 per night per person.

Stayed in a 12 mixed dorm; the rooms are super SMALL; can't have more that 3 ppl standing up at the same time. Comfortable bed. The free breakfast consist of 2 types of cereal and sliced bread ideal for toast. Was there twice and whenever we asked for info. it seems that they have no idea what's around. Asked for directions for certain area - we were told it's super far away, whilst it was only 10 minutes on foot. Was there for NYE and when we asked what we could do - such as where to go to watch the fireworks etc, they had no recommendations. Very close to Little India - try the food there, it's superb!!

Good location next to a newly build metro station and Intercity bus station. Generally clean facilities and comfortable beds with air conditioning inside the room. They do turn off the AC late morning until afternoon and instead turn on the fans. They provide breakfast consisting of toast and jam. Front desk is helpful in providing information to the city and surrounding area. They have a chill resident cat.

If you are into hostels choose this one. In Singapore the best and cheapest. There are lots of hostels much more expensive, with less comfort. This is the best!

Had very good time here.
Very nice and cheap place to stay.
Public transit is very near. Daily needs items shops are near by. You can find Bar, Restaurant, Hotels, Shopping Mall very near from Bunc Hostel.
It is very peaceful place to stay.
And You can make good friends from all over the globe while having free breakfast.

Breakfast was decent. However, the bed sheets weren't really clean. The single bed seemed to be more spacious and had extra room for phones and other gimmicks. The lockers are underneath the double beds and way too small for two people's luggage. Using the washing machine costs 4$, drying the clothes costs additional 4$. The WiFi did not work in the meeting rooms on the second floor. The staff is very helpful and friendly, so, that's a plus. The metro is really close by, which is nice. You can walk all the way to Marina Bay though (in my opinion).

Best hostel I have visited yet. Clean,bed sheets/rooms, silent atmosphere with ample of facilities. Booked for 16 people room and they gave me 8 people room as a gesture.
One thing I would like to suggest will be that they can add some more options to their breakfast menu.

The only bad in this hostel are the attitute of guest. They think that they own this hostel & they can do whatever they want.
Here have too much wastage. They never finish whatever they took to eat. Later they dump it inside the sink & clogged up the sink.

Great hostel with awesome beds! Best beds in a while! Staff is super friendly and helpfull. Hostel is located in a great area and easy to reach.
Dorms are clean and you have your own pod which makes your stay comfortable.

Bunc Hostel is located in Little India area. Overall was alright. I like the location that is quite convenient for travel to other places because there are bus stop and mrt station nearby. There is 24-hours reception so if you can check in any time. Cleanliness is important factor for me, bathroom and toilet are not bad. Hair dryer, shower gel and shampoo are provided. However, there was no window in bedroom, so ventilation and smell were bad for me.

Staying here for a week. So far so good, single bunk bed with ample leg space which is good for tall people. Personal luggage locker but bring your own lock and towel rental is 7sgd. The only problem is some people stays here thinks they are living in a hotel and leave dishes unwashed including cooking utensils which consider inconsiderate.

A perfect place for spend a night. When I was there, the shown price already included phone rent, which is really useful so I can save some money by not buying local sim card. Will be back there for sure.

Noisy and crowded city hostel; I had a hard time sleeping and that's a first in 6 months of travelling. It might just have been my room. Each bed has a power socket, security locker and three lights. The property is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. I didn't understand why the restrooms are so warm; you would be sweating again after a shower before you got on your clothes. Location is good; on the corner of Little India, close to subway station, downtown area and Chinatown.

Its a good place for some few nights in S'pore. The 10-guest bedrooms are quite small and dark, nice beds though. Breakfast ist standard (Toast, Cereal). You can choose between 3 kinds of jam or 2 different cereals.

Comfortable bed with nice comforter and 2 pillows each. Love the kitchen and movie deck where you can chill out and meet new people. And if you are bored, you can always go down to the lobby where computers are available for use free of charge.

Very nice, clean and comfortable hostel. Extremely friendly staff and also a quite good price for Singapore. Public transportation not too far away, also very nice indian food places around. We enjoyed our stay there!

Solid hostel with breakfast (which does not offer too much choice, basically toast, jam and cereals).
Do pay attention to your belongings (which really applies to any place), as while most residents are nice and outgoing there ARE thieves who will steal your stuff if you forget something and leave it out unattended for a while.
... but really, who steals flip flops and shower gel? (granted, they were really comfy... miss those badasses)

If you take mrt, you may walk few minute.
But Hostel was veeery big, and clean, qiuet.
And they taken my luggage.
some temple is there nearly.
after I eaten breakfast, I went there at morning.
