A memorial dedicated to the badasses of Malay Regiment back to WWII in 1942. The memorial is located at the end of the road, on top of the hill, at one of the black and white house. For visitors relying on public transport, the nearest MRT station is Pasir Panjang MRT. There is no bus, prepare to walk up.

A must visit for enriching one's knowledge about Singapore and once upon a time the World history. It will be very worthwhile to engage for a guided tour that includes transportation because the place is a little isolated, but walkable.

Entrance fee has been removed for all irrespective of their nationality. The museum offers a glimpse of the history of Singapore during world war 2. There are a few artifacts associated with the event displayed. Use of audio visuals also enhances the experience. It's location near the Kent ridge park is appropriate as it connects to the history. The overall experience should be good for history enthusiasts as well as those who like to go for a casual visit.

Air conditioning inside the building. Friendly receptionist. With a security guard on duty. A good visit for those who wants to find out more about world war 2. Only downside is that it rather small. You can complete the place in under an hour.

NO ENTRANCE FEE since Dec 2016
The site was beautiful and located a bit uphill but easily access just take a little walk from CC26 mrt station. Do bring water and don't expect to find food stall / place to eat here.
It is a quiet and peaceful yet shows well respect for Malay Regiment, a handpicked group who later became heavily and highly trained Malay Soldier and have made such brave sacrifice during the WWII... like many wars, those who collect the benefits were never one that wounded up dead. I wish there would be no more war.

Thought it was just a tomb stone. It is a museum of sorts steeped with history of heroes who for our nation. Names that should be honoured for their ultimate sacrifices. Every nation needs and should keep their heroes. Relive the fight again! To forget the past, is to repeat the mistakes in the future again.

A museum to remind us of the atrocities in World War 2. Specifically for the Malay Regiment who fought gallantly for Singapore and Malaya at that time. Alot of interesting artifacts and interactive displays can be seen here. It's a bit of a hassle to come here as it is located at the top of a hill. Take a cab to come here. Or just Grab. But do come here. It's a great place to know more about Singapore's history.

Bukit Chandu War Memorial is a small museum located on Bukit (means hill) Chandu. Situated in a restored colonial bungalow, this quaint little museum gives a good overview of Singaporean war heroes as well as tells the story of Singapore through the war. Being a small museum, it's easy to navigate through. The content is palatable and easy to understand. It's also free of charge for everyone!

Quiet and Peaceful place to reflect on the history of WWII in Singapore, comprehensively detailed exhibits and with actual WWII relics are displayed inside the air conditioned Memorial. These exhibits give the visitor a detailed walk through on the fall of Singapore and the battle of Bukit Chandu.

Nice little spot to visit. A memorial of the Malay Regiment and their final fight before the Fall of Singapore. Quite well done and a little bit eerie in the area. There free parking near the museum. But there are a couple of flight of stairs to climb up.

Excellent small museum on fall of Singapore with no entrance fee and lots of good audio visual displays in old colonial villa.

A rare look into a pre-war colonial bungalow in Singapore. Renovated recently with a permanent exhibit on the fall of Singapore in 1942, with a focus on the Malayan Regiment.
A last stand was made by a company of heroes led by Lt. Adnan at the battle of Pasir Panjang.
A few but well curated relics and displays gave the visitor a good understanding of the Malayan campaign. Even if you are not a history fan, you may find the air-conditioned bungalow tour a worthwhile visit in itself.

Great historical sight of Singapore. World war 2. Must visit! The Malay regiment of Singapore.
Elijah B (13/08/2016 05:48)
Fact:the Malay regiment fought bravely in this battle but died. They never stripped their uniforms when told to by the Japanese commander Yamashite, they also never begged for mercy at all.

Quite place for reflecting. Lots of mosquitoes though.

A fairly hidden place that perfectly builds the ambience of the Bukit Chandu battle - a must.

A nice but well hidden bungalow house to spend an learning hr with kids. The museum hosts legacy of WWII at the actual site where hundred of soldiers lost their life's at the fight at the ridge when countered the Japs force.
