A great experience with lots of shopping and gifts options. Bargaining is in place. It's covered, so you don't have to worry about the heat and can enjoy the shopping experience.

Bugis market seriously.
Starting from $10 to anything you are looking for, best place to buy Souvenir, Bags, Shoes and mobile accessories.
Good collection of imported food chocolates and office and also available.
This place will take at least 5 6 hour.

You can call it local market. Bugis is where you can get ladies daily necessities items at reasonable rate with lots of options. The shop keepers are very friendly in nature. Wonderful place for local product shopping and for some amazing food.
Bugis is short of happening..

Bugis street / market is a very vibrant place with lot of smaller shops that pretty much sell everything.
Though it’s crowded and gets busy during weekends it’s a nice place to buy souvenirs. Lot of clothe shops that primarily attract women shoppers.
This place is very close to the Bugis MRT station so easy to get there.
Recommended place to visit if you have a bit of free time and looking to buy clothes / souvenirs at an inexpensive rate.

I'm my opinion, best street in Singapore. Best hawker center. Cheap souvenirs shops. Cross over to Arab street, very authentic Mediterranean food. Walkable distance to little India if you want Indian food. Bugis junction is a must for visitors.

Great place to roam around in these little congested streets, Shopping is negotiable here and products are a bit sub standard. Good for getting suveniers, Sex toys can also be bought from 2-3 shops. Decent food stalls can be found. It's a good social place where a person with crowd love can enjoy.

If you want to do a street shopping in Singapore, this is probably the best place you can visit. It's a heaven for ladies especially, they will have all that they need available at one place at the most reasonable prices. A must visit place during your visit to Singapore. Best time to visit will be after 6pm.

Was busy but not friendly. Was push shove and almost unfun. But the shopping was crazy good with so much to see and explore. A bit pushy with the sales which put me off a Little. After being in Yangon where the people wouldn't dream of pushing and shoving or be rude this was on so inviting or appealing. Just different cultures I guess. A lone woman can easily walk around here without too much concern.
You can get lost here and all around is other exciting attractions also. Shop around wisely as some things are not priced well when compared. I would not have missed it and the night time Food was simply lovely. The kitchens on show looked a thousand years old not cleaned but the Food was a Real treat. I was brave and did what the locals were doing. Order and eat. Don't worry about where you are or where you end up. Just Catch a grab taxi from anywhere and it will come find you for a set price. No nasty surprises.

Great shopping place for the fashion-conscious ladies. Has an extensive and diverse array of women's clothing with mainly Korean-inspired fashion. There are also a handful of shops with streetwear offerings and manicure/pedicure places. Only about two to three shops catering to men's clothing. Eateries inside and beside street are tasty with Vietnamese, Thai and local BBQ options available. However, the place is packed like a can of sardines and one should keep their personal belongings safe.
Pei Yoke (29/11/2017 09:04)
There is a lot of food and clothes that are sold here. Souvenirs are also found here. The place is crowded with people but still there isn't much problem getting through. There are also hawker centre and Buddhist temple, for those of the Buddhism group. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. 😊😊
Roochi Gupta (27/11/2017 15:24)
I really liked this place as it has lots of cheap shops to buy plenty of things. There is mostly 3 things for 10$ which i like the most.
You can enjoy a relaxing manicure and pedicure here. There are a lot of salon on level 2.
Ursula Li (21/11/2017 14:35)
Really crowded, esp. weekends on holiday season. The market mainly cater for youngsters. You have to be super patient if you shop here. Slowly browse different stores and you will find a great bargain for women clothes, accessories, and shoes.

The largest shopping mall in Singapore has more than 800 shops and turns into a bustling night market when the sun goes down.
Famous throughout Asia as a destination for discounters and shoppers, Bugis Street is the largest shopping mall in Singapore. The rebuild in 1980 turned the area from a well-known destination after hours into a thriving commercial district, with more than 800 stores. Bugis Street is a destination that the whole family enjoys, with shops ranging from high fashion to literature and music and many fine dining outlets.
hendry tano (11/10/2017 02:51)
Located next to Bugis Junction, just exit from the right exit of the mall, Bugis street is very accessible place through excellent public transport of Singapore.
Clothes, bags, shoes, accessories, toys, watches and many more thing at a very cheap price for the people looking for budget shopping. And there are so many souvenirs as well, but to compare I think on China Town are more option and a slightly more cheaper. And you can find some light food and beverage too with reasonable price.
This is heaven for budget shoppers

Nice area in Singapore. Here you can see little bit Chinese, little bit Indian and Malaysia culture, shops, church... Here you can find Indian, Chinese small shops and items, food... Here food, juice, clothes and shoes in street market shops you can little bit cheapest like in some next central area's in Singapore.

Good bargain place. Walk around for a good deal for hip clothes for teens and young adults. Clothes can go for as cheap as 10 dollars or less for certain clothes selling out their stocks. Expect to nt be able to try out the clothes so do walk around in case they put the clothes on mannequin. Since most shops have two stores (same owner) dont be worried if you see something you like you'd be able to find it in another location

Amazing place to do most of your shopping. Its not cheaper than Chinatown but certainly better stuff than Chinatown. Good for eating while shopping. Look for above floors that has better quality and better discounts.
Lorelee Ong (18/07/2017 17:17)
Crowded, but great place to buy cheaper things. Had a lot fun. Great food as well. Super delicious. You can find almost anything there for the youth. Hahaha...

The must visit place for all Shopaholics who want a good bargain in Singapore ! It is a place which I would probably term " A fancier Version of a Flea Market" - Dresses between 5-25 $, Some really delicious local food and souvenirs and cheap toys , watches !
pratiwi bestariati (26/05/2017 08:38)
One stop shopping place with affordable price in Singapore! I like buying S$1 chocolate in ABC store. Buying S$1 juice was nice too. Since it's pretty hard to find cheap food and beverage in Singapore.
Chrissy (18/05/2017 10:16)
This is a shopping paradise for some cheap shopping experience. It houses in huge small shops offering souvenirs, bags, accessories , clothing, swim suits, shoes.... Using a baby stroller would be difficult as the pathway is quite very narrow.
The shops at the entrance of the mall offers some cheap cool drinks and in Level 3, there is a small food court.
livingroundtheworld (11/05/2017 00:05)
We haven't visited this venue in years and were glad that it continued to thrive. The covered narrow laneways were buzzing with small shops offering a wide variety of cheap souvenirs, clothing, shoes, accessories, watches and mobile phones to local and foreign visitors. There was also a food court and stalls offering fruits and drinks. This venue is large and would easily consume 2 hours of browsing time. If you're still eager for more shopping, Bugis Junction and Bugis+ malls are just nearby.
Lily Eyraud (28/04/2017 12:39)
This is the discount shopping area of Singapore. There is Burig junction across the street as well as a bunch of street vendors. This is a good place to buy some (cheap) gifts/trinkets to bring home. There's also food and fashion as well as multiple levels.
Stephen Coles (16/04/2017 12:18)
Felt a bit fabricated and after reading the history, now I understand why... It is fabricated in an attempt to recreate an older time favorite in a new location.
It's like a market, except the stalls/shops have too much of a feeling of permanence.
John Ryan Elliot (09/04/2017 21:48)
Cheap stuff found here! We really had fun looking around for souvenirs. This is the place of a much wider selection of merchandise. Housing 3 floors of stuff, you'll have a great time looking around until you found something that you really want to buy. Fashion enthusiasts can try and see the clothes sold here. Some escalators are not working so you need to take the stairs instead or the escalator as a stair.

Excellent Place for Budget Shopping. Great Value & Wide Selection. Wallet & Family Friendly. Just bought a set of costumes for our family photoshoot next weekend. $10 each. Super incredible deal 😍😍😍

Lovely place to shop and wide range of collection to choose from. Would definitely recommend for shopping especially for your wife, she would love it. It's not very expensive according to Singapore standards.
Geraldine Heng (27/02/2017 14:51)
I love the good deals I can get for my mobile casing and many other items, like apparel and shoes.
Cedric Soh (13/02/2017 14:08)
One of the authentic place of Singapore and a wonderful non-mall place to shop. A refreshing change from all the cookie cutter standardised malls all over Singapore. Tourists and locals both visit this place to shop, have fun and dine.
Zinthe Zweihander (29/01/2017 16:00)
A vibrant yet well-regulated street market with air-conditioning on certain levels. Hidden gems and troves of enterprising businesses catering to a mainly young crowd
Prajakta Khatal (07/01/2017 16:01)
Great for cheap shopping options. It is quite large and vast inside, although it may not look so from outside. Also a popular tourist attraction, always bustling with sellers' energy and curious crowd. A lot of eating options can also be found. Visit it for an experience, it is a crossing away from Bugis MRT Junction.
Hanh My Bui (10/12/2016 14:24)
Bugis Street is a great place for cheap fashion items. You can find everything from fashionable clothing to handbags, backpacks, accesories, beauty products to Singaporean souvenirs. Ultimately, Bugis street consists of many small vendors next to each other. It's quite narrow and especially during weekends it's very bustling and full of people. If you're keen on shopping it's a good place to be, if not, better avoid this place.
HomeTour Studios (21/10/2016 06:17)
You will find narrow indoor streets of little market-style retail shops selling mostly youngster's clothing and fashion accessories. There are also street snacks at the front facing shops. Come here to experience the bustling vibe. It gets crowded on the weekends. Take your time and don't visit the place in a rush!

Singapore traditional wet market, tourist trap
A wet market. A tourist trap. But still a safe place to go. The place and the people survives as traditional shops selling fruits, food, souvenirs and other stuffs typically sold in traditional market, thanks to successful tourism. So many isles to see. Sellers are not so aggressive and rude as in other southeast asian cities. But also, the place was not as exciting as similar places in Asian cities. Do not miss to see Sri Khrisnan temple and Kwam Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, and the pedestrian walk in front of the two temples. Bugis street is bordered by a mall, Bugis Junction, where the MRT station is.

Nice place to shop though more suitable for gurls and women to shop. Multistorey place dont forget to check out upper levels. The lifts and escalators when i went was not functioning properly. Quite a lot of variety for females shopping. Clothes bags shoes accessories. Not good place for electronics or mens shopping.

Last time I was here with my family. Good place to get Singapore souvenirs. Aircond-ed marketplace, you don't have to worry about the hot weather. Many kinds of products, sold here with a good price. Although I prefer Chinatown, for better price, Bugis Street have larger choices you can find.
Marilyn Paradina (06/07/2016 06:43)
It's a good place to buy presents and personal stuff! You can find bits and pieces to bring to your family back home; from ref magnets and keychains to shirts and bags, etc. Most items in the malls, you can find it here, too and for a much cheaper price. You'll get your moneys' worth esp. if you know how to haggle! Some shops open at 11am so it's safer to come in the afternoon when all shops are ready. Enjoy your shopping! ;-)

URA/Tourist Promotion Board should look into the Bugis Street shopping alley and hawker centre as tourist feeback was very disapointed after their visited to Bugis Street. It was very dirty, nothing to attract them and totally different image from the book written the histrory of Bugis street...... tourist attraction place in Singapore. Maybe need upgrading or ...... Thanks for your understanding😀😀
John E (20/06/2016 14:00)
Definitely a place to buy souvenirs like t-shirts, keychains and more. There's also a lot of shops and merchandise for food and fashion. Only thing thats bothering me is that the crowd is so large to the point that we can be compared as sardines lol 😁
Apri Swajaya (31/05/2016 05:24)
If you want to buy Singapore souvenirs, snacks and some nice clothes look no further. Bugis has a variety of objects on sale that would interest those who don't even like to shop. Many fashion accessories are available here and at a very reasonable price. Probably the number one tourist trap in Singapore.
It can be a bit crowded at times especially on weekends, but I am amazed how they kept the place cool and clean even with such dense traffic of people
