One of the less affluent shopping centres. Many Indian shops here if someone is looking for them. They are well stocked too. Vegetables sold in these shops are cheaper than conventional supermarkets. There are multiple food courts here and a fair price market too.

Great place for residents to hang out. The place is not the most flashy, but it has a wide range of shops.

A good place to pass by. Especially good for the neighbourhood around. Elderly friendly as there's an escalator up the second floor, and accessible to all anytime of the day. There's a 24/7 NTUC fair price there and multiple other small shops. However, the NTUC is a smaller version and might not have everything available. Might still need to visit Jurong Point's fair price for the extended and full shopping list and experience. There's a comic book store (able to sit and chill to read for the comic lovers), a pet store (per lover store where you can get most pet needs), money changer (though the ladies night not seem very friendly at times, but they do their job well), multiple barber (I recommend the one on the second floor with the diagonal barber lighting, as they do cheap and good cuts) and salons (for more fancy hair-do and services). Able to drop by to purchase any groceries or necessities as there's a variety of shops around. From clothing, to food, to household and personal care items, you want it, you can get it. There's also a LAN shop, with good enough gears and tech for an average gamer or user. Although the place may look a little run down on the inside but the hygiene is still decent, not the best. A little bubble tea store at the first level, near the bread shop, which offers good variety of choice. Although there are times when they would run out of flavoures. Bread shop sells good bread. Friendly mama shops there to get your simple snacks, drinks, desserts and toys. There's three different coffee shops and hawkers around. Power nasi lemak is just next door.

The raw shopping experience you can find in Jurong! Old shops and old practice!

Small little gem in the western part of Singapore. There's a hawker centre famous for its nasi lemak, nasi briyani, bbq seafood, fried hokkien mee & duck noodles. Beside the hawker centre is the mall. There are bakery, money remittance, hp sale & repair, hair salon, massage parlor & shops that sell household items, mahjong & gaming items, industrial wear & even an old- school comic shop. Its also a pick-up & alighting point for travel buses from Malaysia. This place is nothing too fancy but it has the kind of old Town charm that will get you enchanted.

Variety groceries can be found here. Also choices of cooked foods in the nearby hawker centre. Lots of parking space but always full especially on Sunday.

Good place to be lost. Gigantic place for the many humans to roam. Some were there for Food, some for technology, the rest for clothings. Can find almost everything here.
Carpark is huge.
Please beware of rich people parking in family lots.

Boon Lay Shopping is rather similar to Rochor area. Tour agencies, Malaysian coaches, clothes, bags, handphones, barbers, money changing & remittances, crowded coffee shops and fruit stalls. Parking is good so long as one doesn't insist on a particular parking spot. Beside the shopping is the Boon Lay Hawker Centre.

This is a nice place for shopping, although the shops here are not as big as supermarket. But the prices of goods here are cheap and reasonable.
Muhammad Shawal (02/09/2017 10:51)
Simple place to get most of your groceries and household items. Many foods choices from different food hawker centres.
Johnny Koh (01/08/2017 20:37)
A neighborhood shopping mall with a decent mix of retail shops to cover basic necessities. Includes a NTUC, coffee shops, Thai massage, and many more.
Eddie Yew (10/07/2017 23:09)
The good thing is just the number of food and choices. Not too big so can go there for light shopping or just to get and go. A little crowded during peak hours
Joe Ong (24/06/2017 05:32)
NTUC Fairprice, 4D, 7-11 outlet, many mobile phone shops, 1 hawker centre, 3 coffee shops, pet store, 2 barbers, a few thai massage shops, and other miscellaneous shops selling shoes, convenience goods, hardware stores, etc...
Kelvin Seet (14/06/2017 09:29)
Shopping mall is too small for any excitement, you only go there to buy whatever you need. There is no restaurant or cafe like Starbucks around to hang around
Even though there is a hawker centre, nothing exciting.
Oth'niel Nethinim (02/06/2017 07:31)
Great place to stop before heading back to Malaysia by bus. Has great money exchange rate and even cheap items to cashout before exchanging your currency. There's a cheap bakery nearby that sells SGD 0.80 per bun.
Ng Leong Keong 黄龍强 (01/05/2017 02:04)
Rustic nostalgic old style shopping centre, no air-con in common areas (public places).
Josh Ng (30/04/2017 04:45)
Going to Boon Lay Shopping Centre is almost like going back in time to the 70s and 80s. The overall ambience and design is very old but has its charm. There is a dis-used stand alone cinema nearby. What used to be a public pool nearby is now converted to other use.
Siew Hing Lam (26/04/2017 23:53)
My favourite joint nearby to my house. You can find Malaysia Boleh here. My mum favourite cray pot rice. There is plenty of choice here. Don't worry. Just get worry about being spoil of choices.
Ryan Lim (19/04/2017 02:52)
Very retro shopping center as if still in the 80s. Still a decent place to eat and shop for grocery. NTUC is at 2nd level.
Alan Tan (15/04/2017 13:32)
Old shopping mall with NTUC and many shops and eateries. Popular with people coming for changing currencies. Good rates for Malaysian Ringgit.

One interesting town centre. Seems old but full of functional practical shops selling a wide range of household products, many money remit agencies and a few food coffeeshop
Dylan Tan (08/02/2017 16:22)
Time stop here, the place still looks and feel the same years back. A mix of type of shops, from safety related to money changers. There are coffee shops there that offers many local food.
Nebojša Bogdanović (29/01/2017 09:29)
This place bears the old spirit of Singapore traders with a bunch of old style shops, open market concept and bargaining. The modern era hasn't really settled in which makes it a most comple mall with decent prices as well. Enjoy your shopping and don't forget to talk to the merchants, especially old uncles and aunties.
Colin Tong (15/01/2017 01:23)
Although a very old shopping centre from the 70s, this is the most complete mall in Singapore. Really everything can be found here.
Kam Hoe Chaw (21/10/2016 11:01)
a place to go for different Thai food and products. long distance bus terminal to Malaysia and Thailand. and some tour agency around the place
Joe Yang (07/10/2016 12:18)
A handful of money changers offer competitive rates as there resides terminal for coaches that transit between Singapore and Malaysia. Mobile phone shops, bakery, stationery/hardware/household goods stores and coffee shops complete the shopping centre but it takes residents around the area to identify one that offer bargains and parking can be a chore.

A really old shopping mall that left me a lot of good old childhood memories. There used to be an old lady selling muah chee at the bottom of the staircase. Really yummy. And used to buy my childhood pajamas, home appliances here too. Good times. Its the to go place to get bus tickets for your malaysia trips.

The name of the town, actually comes from a philanthropist , who came here in early 60s. Boon Lay is now a bustling communities ,with various migrants ,most from neighbouring ASEAN countries, and China and India . Located near Jurong Industrial park, and various educational institution like ,Nanyang Technology University. It provides affordable accommodations,to workers and students.
Basic necessities ,like foods are somewhat more economical than other uptown district. Inhabitants at Boon Lay also
enjoys the various man -make lake , by the insightful late minister Mr Goh KS. It is a about 6 - 10 minutes ride by bus from Boon Lay Shopping CTR. to the Japanese and Chinese garden.

This is a very old shopping centre that I have patronized since my secondary school days. It still retains the good old charm - friendly family stores, great food at highly affordable pricing. Recently, I enjoy the dim sum at the coffee shop next to the open space car park due to good taste at affordable pricing - 5 items at less than $10!. Oh ya, not to forget the Power Nasi Lemak at the hawker centre!

20th century shopping centre to cater to residents of the Boon Lay Drive housing estate. The sliced fish bee hoon on the first floor coffee shop is refreshing.
