Food is great! Get the octopus! It was $39.90 and so yummy! The beef skewer was mediocre, though. Get the pita and dips too! Spent $130 for two.

Loved, loved, LOVED the food here. I came here for a birthday celebration with my family. We ordered whatever the server recommended us - octopus, moussaka, lamb... and also a few other starters. It was so delicious! Service started off on a shaky foot (they forgot about us after seating us and did not give us menus), but the attentive manager (or I assume he was one) made up for it with his personable attitude. If you have never tasted the cuisine before, start off on a right foot here at Blu Kouzina!

Lovely food. Rustic and tasty. Must try the tamamosalata and the grilled pita bread. Almost every dish is generously drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Flavours are clean and healthy. Service is friendly and genuine. If you’re not familiar with Greek cuisine, the service team know how to recommend some excellent choices to try.

Great place for Greek food. Fantastic crew and quirky but fun greek tunes.. Prices are decent for the food served. Do book ahead as this place gets pretty full especially on the weekends.

Food was delicious. Great quality and very fresh ingredients. I particularly love their grilled octopus was simply beautiful. Meats were well done and their layered pasta was fantastic. Keep up the great work!!

Awesome food in a nice fancy location. Great for large groups. Good for a dinner date too but not if you are looking for a romantic private dinner as the place can be quite noisy. But if you love busy kitchens and dining areas like me, then this is the place for you. Well decked menu and staff offers great recommendations if you are new and unfamiliar.

Ohh my god! The food is so amazing! The meat was flavorful and delicious. The moussaka melts in your mouth. The pita bread, hummus, and salmon roe was so heavenly. Surprisingly the food we didn't like was baklava, which was weird for a Mediterranean restaurant. However, 5/5 for food nevertheless. We liked the ambiance as well.

Delicious awesome reliably good Greek cuisine. Tad on the pricey side but it's a nice space and great for groups too.

Julien (15/11/2017 16:14)
You sit down at a simple comfy table, around you it starts to fill up with a crowd, saliva dripping smells reach your nose as waiters bring plates around, you just can't help but order all the lovely looking food. Loads of grilled cheese, succulent meat and delicious greek cuisine.
Prices are definitely on the high side for dining out in Singapore. Come in a large group and share dishes.

First time at their newer Dempsey location. Service was great. Lamb shank was good, moussaka was good. Really enjoyed it. Saganaki was delicious. Must order.

Second time at Dempsey and probably my fourth time overall. The mint tea is pretty cool, recommended. Everything else is still great. Moussaka and saganaki cheese for life.

Must go place in Singapore if you dabble in Greek Cusinie. Fantastic food and great service. Its a place where Vegetarians are spoilt for choices. The place is immensely popular and you need to book your table in advance.

We went out with our friends to celebrate a Birthday and we were treated like the stars of the day. They graciously allowed us to cut a cake and gave us Baklava on the house :)

They have amazing quality and quantity on all the dishes. Platters that are for 2 are actually for 3 :) Do save up your appetite for some lip smacking desserts. Do try their Greek Dark beer. A bit expensive but worth while.

All in All - Kick-ass experience, Great food, great Ambience and Great service. Go for it!

Great Greek restaurant. A little bit on the pricey side though. Been here for couple of times and both were a pleasant experience. Keep in mind the restaurant is very packed on the weekend so the service might not be so good. Check out the honey prosecco, it's really good.

Service is exceptional. Food is prepared with the freshest ingredients. You know you are are get the best Greek food here in Singapore

I absolutely enjoyed my first experience at Blu Kouzina. They have an inner section of the restaurant which is really pretty and well designed, you feel like you're on a holiday! The food is easily one of the best Greek restaurants in Singapore. I enjoyed the grilled octopus, hummus and meat platter. My friends love it too! Will definitely return and recommend to friends

Clara Tan (08/06/2017 12:51)
First Greek cuisine experience and it was awesome! We ordered the hummus dip with pita bread, grilled octopus and meat platter for two but it was more than enough to feed 5 of us. Would definitely recommmend to come in groups so that you can try more dishes as their serving is rather huge. Octopus was divine - juicy and chewy but not too tough with a very delectable sauce to pair with. Meat was good too especially the lamb shank which really surprised me. Service was good albeit over zealous as they kept coming over to refill water and clear our plates, which could be rather interruptive to our conversations.

Our first trip to the new location and what a disappointment.

The food was still good but the service was atrocious. It started out fairly well but once our food order was taken, the wait staff disappeared. The children were never offered a drink and I couldn't waive anyone down to get one. I had to stand up and chase a waiter down to get service. Once we finished the appetizers, nothing else came. After 40 minutes we started asking for our main course, but never got an answer as to when it would come or what happened. At 50 minutes we threatened to leave, after which the food finally came. It was almost an hour between finishing the appetizer and getting our main course.

I understand that things can go wrong in a restaurant, but we were never given an explanation and then were presented with a bill for the full amount including the service charge!

Wanda Wang (07/05/2017 12:53)
A popular place! Good vegetarian options. The cheeses are yummy, lamb is tasty, octopus is tender and flavourful, beef skewers are a little bit dry, definitely not a good place if you like desserts. Wait staff is a bit strange/inefficient though earnest and polite. The first time I was here the waiter killed a harmless gecko even though I said I was going to move it, the second time it was normal for the singapore usual of service , and this time the staff were slow to clear plates, give appropriate menus, yet were on top to change plates without prompting and polite. There was one waiter who was strolling around clapping his hands absently. Strange.
Also they do not accept American express credit cards.

Mohit Vatsa (01/05/2017 07:24)
Great food and ambiance. Went there for birthday celebration. Flavours were good (but not mind blowing), lots of choices, and had Greek wine selections. Waiter staff needs more training, but other than that liked the place.

My good Easter mood is wrecked by this restaurant!

I have always longed to taste again the authentic Greek Gyros (skewers) that was conveniently available during my university days in USA. Therefore, I was pleased to find out this new authentic Greek restaurant was just near my home. It boasted quite a number of recommendations from both local and international patrons. Therefore, with good Easter mood I decided to bring my family to indulge myself in this classy authentic Greek restaurant. I had really high hope that I can finally satisfy my long time yearning for high quality Greek Gyros.
The restaurant is surprisingly crowded. We felt lucky to be able to get a seat without prior reservation. Although, the seating allocated is not air-conditioned and we can still feel the heat from the sun seeping from its roof, it did not dampen my mood. We quickly placed orders for our food and I made sure that the waiter got the most important main course (chicken skewer) by repeating it at least twice. We were told that main course may need 15 to 20mins to be ready and were served with starters first. We feel that size of servings for the starters is smaller than my expectation for an authentic Greek restaurant. We had to order another Pita. There is nothing special to the taste of the Pita and Humus. A little bit bland and oily actually. Nevertheless, my family gulped them down quickly within 10 minutes. Timely enough, we have our first main course (Chicken Wraps) arrived 10minutes after we gulped down the starters. By this time we are starting to feel the heat and I feel that may have drunk too much ice water. Again, the chicken wrap lacks of the taste we are expecting and we are surprised that the restaurant do not have any chilly or pepper that we can help ourselves to spice up our meals. I had to console myself that maybe the primary objective” chicken skewers” that was yet to come bring back my good mood that is being evaporated by the heat.
After finishing the chicken wraps and having our ice water replaced 3 times because 1 wasp and 2 flies had decided to dive into them (maybe to escape the heat), the chicken skewer did not come. Therefore I get a waiter to check and he told us it will be ready really soon. We spent another 10minutes chasing flies and wasp from our iced water and yet the chicken skewers did not come! We get a waiter to ask what happened, did the order get registered?! He sheepishly told us that order was registered but the kitchen staffs forget about it. That was my last straw. I quickly told them to cancel may item and get the bill. The meal is really costly but it cost more to my spirit. Not only did I not to get to taste any Greek Gyros, my Easter holiday mood is completed ruined. I vow never to return to this restaurant and I have lost completely any interest to explore any other restaurants around the area. Good bye Dempsey road! Forever!

The food and ambience were lovely. I went with a small group but the dishes could work great for large groups too. My only negative would be that we felt quite rushed throughout our meal as the staff were always hovering and quickly clearing our plates as we were eating. Perhaps the second dinner service (8pm Vs 6.30pm when we went) would have been more relaxed.

Blu Kouzina is possibly Singapore's best Greek restaurant. The service was exceptional. Lovely space. Great food. If you like Greek cuisine, you'd probably love this place.

Carina Hickling (24/02/2017 04:58)
Yeap, food is good, taramasalata divine. But....service is not. A missing dish was explained after 30 min as 'late' due to it being cooked and 'it is on its way'. It never appeared - only as an item on the bill - it took them another 10 minutes to have it removed so we could pay. No, we will not go back to Blu in a hurry.

Fantasying about a getaway to Santorini Greece? No where gets as close with this little oasis located in Dempsey that sweeps you off. Awesome medezes, fresh grilled seafood from the Mediterranean Sea and meat lovers will be bowled over by the 2pax meat platter, portions generous enough to easily feed 3-4. Absolutely love the grilled lamb chops, made me a convert.

Is my favourite restaurant in Singapore. The freshness and quality of the food and the authenticity of the staff (which can be scary sometimes haha) make it a unique place to gather family and friends

Lovely ambience and a good quality Greek cuisine!. We enjoyed the food.

It gets quite busy, we did not have a reservation but the staff were very kind to accommodate.

Airy decor and nice vibe. Meat and seafood dishes tasty. Good for larger groups.

The food is here is amazing! Got to experience the unique Greek cuisine for the first time! It's a very beautiful restaurant and the service here is great. Very satisfying experience here, will definitely visit this place again.

We loved this place since we arrived in Singapore 6 years ago.
We visited the new location for the first time and while the food quality is debatably still the same, and the dishes we loved are still as delicious, there is something about the new atmosphere that disappoints.
In a way, the moment you open a restaurant in Dempsey Hill you sign up for a generic dining experience: expensive, industrial like, cuisine that serves some exotic food.

What we loved about the old place, the intimate atmosphere, the Greek decor, the owner's attention to his guests, the generous lemoncello drink at the end of the meal are all hard to preserve in this open, mass-produced Greek restaurant setup.

Michael Kearns (28/08/2016 15:18)
The food is fine but it is hard not to feel you are being gouged when you order a mezze platter of three dips that doesn't come with any pita. For four people, you will need to order two times the pita. Seriously? We spent 2 weeks in Greece and this never happened. Come on Blu Kouzina. You can do better.

Amazing food! My friend celebrated her birthday here so there were more than 10 of us. The service was impeccable and attentive. We enjoy the food and drinks so much. The environment is cosy, and reminds me of the idyllic Greece. Highly recommend the grilled cheese, greek salad. Forgot the names of the dishes but I have uploaded photos.

Good selection of Greek food! Atmosphere is fantastic. The servers are friendly and obliging! Do remember to book an appointment. Will come back for more soon!

Dishonest.

We ordered the seafood platter, which consisted of Sea Bream, grilled squid and 3 jumbo prawns. When the platter came out the 3 jumbo prawns, which are a major part of the platter, were missing without a word of explanation. When we asked why there were no prawns, they said there was none today and had been replaced with octopus. So the seafood platter consisted of Squid, 400g sea bream and octopus. So it was bream and squid/octopus - hardly a platter. I hope you like Cephalopod family of seafood.

This annoyed me for a number of reasons:

1) How difficult is it to tell someone a key component of their order is missing when it is ordered, so that you have the option to order something else? We had the same thing happen the previous night and waiter apologised and suggested the alternative-i.e. they gave us a choice rather than trying to deceptively pass off something else. Everyone happy.

2) When we asked where the prawns were, they said there was none and said in an aggressive manner, "is this a problem?". Like it was our fault that they had changed the dish after we ordered. We we made to feel uncomfortable that we even questions that they didnt bring out what we ordered.

3) If we had ordered the components of the sea platter off the ala carte menu, it would have been cheaper than what they charged us for the seafood platter. It was quite frankly dishonest that they were substituting the expensive components with cheaper stuff. So it cost $130 for a 400g bream and squid/octopus.

When it cost $200 for the above, a beer and 2 glasses of house sparkling, they really need to lift their service. It was one of the european guys that served us. Poor form.

It was our first time dinning in this restaurant at Dempsey Hill and everything went as perfect as how we anticipated. We were welcomed warmly and the ambiance inside was great, with the surrounding decorated in a Mediterranean style-dinning restaurant. The staff were attentive even in a busy-usual timing, and our food was ordered quickly. We had Saganka with figs, lambs, octopus, roast chicken and moussaka, which were all delicious, and i would recommend that the grilled octopus is a must-try. We have our doneness of our lamb as medium-rare but unfortunately we make a mistake in our decision, and requested if we could have it cook to well-done. The generous young Greek man offered us another dish of grilled lamb but insisted that we are alright, as we did not want to trouble him. In the end, he served us with two grilled lamb and we felt thankful for it. Everything went smoothly except the part where our moussaka was not served . However, we knew that the restaurant was busy and said to the staff that we are okay and was satisfied enough. He did offered us desserts for the minor mistake they made but we once again rejected his offer as we feel they are being too good to us. They served us two great desserts in the end (Baklava and Bougatsa) , which is something you would not taste outside in Singapore. Just as we were leaving the restaurant and thanking the staff for everything, they had prepared a takeaway of a freshly baked Moussaka for us. I guess it was the owner's idea and we really appreciated it. The Moussaka tasted as great as how we imagined in the restaurant after we had it back at home. The restaurant was truly remarkable as a whole, as it give us a delightful and a worthwhile experience. We appreciated it and would recommend and visit this place again! Thank You!

Highly overrated restaurant.
Serving french fries with greek food? Not done.
Didn’t really taste like greek food that I had in Greece or even other european countries. Olives were missing in all dishes.

Elie Akiki (10/04/2016 03:33)
Amazing Greek food, Greek salad is out of this world, the meat platters are very generous, and staff are extremely nice offering some shots amd desserts at the end of the meal.

Yevgeniy Kim (08/03/2016 12:50)
Great place for dinner for couples and groups especially. Wonderful Greek cuisine. Try the saga ski with figs for starter. Most of the food is full with homemade virgin olive oil.
