Opted for their western menu for dinner. The choice is not as much as its chinese menu, the dew dishes we order is enough to impress us. The lamb shank was nicely done, very tender and its mint sauce give this refeshing feel that u wan to hav more of it.

Simple Cosy Ambience within a black and white colonial house located within Sembawang park. Fantastic view as you can see the the sea and the greens from the house itself.
Food that we tried is the chinese tze char. Fresh ingredients. Thumbs up to the spinach beancurd, cod fish and the fried prawns.
Service is not bad on a overall.
Will come back to try again if i pass by this place.

One of our favourites! Peaceful 'rural' seaside setting (so hard to find in SG), colonial charm, and excellent dishes - rare combination for unique experience. 4.5/5

I had lunch here on Nov/19/2017 and the food was amazing. But what really surprised me here was how nice the owner is, and the fact that this restaurant has been here since 1981 and used to be the house of high ranking British Navy officials when England still ruled the island. It was returned to Singapore in 1968 and now it’s a restaurant in Sembawang Park, right by the water.
I’d recommend anyone to come in and eat here, and talk to the owner!! He’s the nicest person ever!!

Environment n service r good. Price high though. Dry laksa speghetti costs SG.18 and 10% service fee charged extrally. The Spaghetti plus chrysanthemum tea costs sg.24 in total. Food quality is fine, just the price not very friendly. That's why i can enjoy a quiet ambience...

It is the only one restaurant in Sembawang beach park. Curry fishhead and crab is delicious.

Beautiful place to look at and have a coffee. The scenery is gorgeous facing the sea and South Johor shoreline can be seen clearly too.

Excellent foods here. Boss super friendly. We got upgrade in our seafood dish. Fish mow soup packed with good yummy content. The spinach bean curd 豆腐· best, 一绝 . 虾球也棒。 Best of All, these 3 Queens had a jolly great time with plenty of laughter. Even the Service Staff also enough the presence of this 4 搞笑行动' :-)

Excellent food, nice taste, especially the sauces and dressings, beautiful location with a great view, nice and cozy interior and friendly, smiling staff. We were a group of seven, and a round table in a corner just by a window was the perfect place to enjoy a nice lunch. We ordered eight dishes and they were prepared and brought in a fast and consecutive manner.

Food was only ok considering its rather steep pricing. However, that is compensated for by the perfect ambience its alfresco dining area offers. Restaurant is situated atop a small hill within Sembawang park, directly overlooking the jetty. Outdoor diners thus get to enjoy the singing of cicadas, sounds of crashing sea waves along the shores of Sembawang park, as well as the gentle sea breeze, while tucking into their food. Restaurant is still relatively unknown to the majority of locals, and this gem of a place is perfect for small group gatherings.

One of a kind experience in modern day Singapore. Brings back old memories of our colonial past. Charming decor, nice ambience, good food at reasonable price. What more can you ask.

The place is a great escape from the tiring urban Singapore. It blooms at night. Foods are cheap but costing environment. Got some tasty seafood here. Food variation is also satisfactory.

Food is not bad, but really over price! We had 5 dishes, 1 noodles(m), 1 saddled egg and century fried rice(m) and it cost $290 for 8 of us 😱
It's like any other Tze Char stall but just nice ambience..

The restaurant serves both western and Chinese cuisines. Food is decent but the house itself has a beautiful exterior as it is a conserved colonial style bungalow. The view is fantastic too as it is right beside the sea and you can see Johor across the sea.

I have been to this place since 20 years ago; and the restaurant has changed hands several times over the years. The latest of which serves up both Chinese menu as well as Western menu in the same set up. They have revamped the place into a Peranakan-looking place bringing back some old flavors from the past.
The restaurant's ambiance is old but beautiful, overlooking the Sembawang beach (erm with oils tankers in the background). I wouldn't say that the food is raving madness; but it is "doable" for a set lunch menu priced at around $30ish. Comes with a starter, main and a drink.
Great place to catch up with friends because it's not a noisy place to begin with. But could be a little far out to travel for most folks.
