Severely understaffed. Highly inefficient. Took a lot of waiting and going back and forth multiple times just to get a simple document. The embassy must work on ways to streamline the process or should encourage other players and stop the monopoly.

For those applying biz visa, skip the queue and go straight to counter to get queue number. Sgd 242.80 for visa in cash. Photo 5 sgd in cash.

My experience with BLS was very positive. I renewed my passport in a day! Submitted all the documents on Thursday morning and received my new passport on Friday evening. I called the call centre before going there and they gave me all the information I needed. Tatkal application charges are really high, I paid 300$ for this service. That’s the only downside. The staff helped me with every bit, they very polite and helpful.

Submitted my application for an Indian visa, was not given a choice for collection other than the defaulted courier service. Was told that it would take 5 working days to process and that my passport would be returned the following Friday before close of business hours. Come the Friday no passport in site... called their helpline only to be told that my passport had only been collected from the embassy that day and it was impossible to have it delivered that same day. The person manning that call was unempathetic and unhelpful. Was told that I had to call the courier company myself to re-arrange my delivery and that BLS could not do anything any more as the vis had already been issued. The service provided by this company is awful and the staff for the most part borderline rude and consistent project a don’t give a damn attitude. The WORST of the lot is that old security officer at their International Plaza office. Have never met a more cantankerous, rude and obnoxious woman. She should be retired immediately!!!!

Just collected my Indian Tourist visa. You hand over your visa application receipt at reception and proceed to wait. No queue ticket issued. Had to wait around 20 mins. Staff will call out your name at counter 9. The scary thing is that they DO NOT CHECK YOUR IDENTITY, so anyone could take your passport. Place is crowded and chaotic. I recommend submitting the visa application at the International Plaza branch, where everything is done smoothly.

8 minutes in queue and 15-20 minutes more for the processing and all. Very quick service provider. Almost 30 minutes in total is awesome response I would say.

Worst ever!! The place opens at 9am but the employees arrive at 9.15am or later. One person doing photocopying and also taking photos. Old lady at the reception acts like she's the manager of the place, bossing people around. No professional standard!!!! Staff act like they are doing some charity work!! This creates a bad impression of INDIA in a foreign country. For god's sake, this place does not deserve to remain open. What is the Indian High Commission doing about it?

This place is very good for India pasaport visa consular services. Service ia good. Need to be little more organized. Saffs are very helpful.

not sure why Indian High Comm is still allowing them to monopolize the Visa scene with such bad service. Anyway, if you are a Singaporean, please use e-visa, it's faster and cheaper (USD25) and there are no more frustrating trips to BLS. e-visa was approved within 24hrs and sent to my email.

Normally I reserve comments but this time I guess it should be highlighted that regardless of any nation, there should be at least a standard way of operating a business which involves global patrons. It was quite a bad sight and impression. Perhaps proper que system with segregated issues and dedicated officers assigned, should help to ease out tensions. To add on proper information should also be provided so that issues are addressed the quickest. Just some thoughts......hopefully next trip, if any, would be better.

The requirement for Business Visa application changes each time I visit (depending on who serves you). No proper system in place to state the exact requirement. Now it's the sixth time I'm visit BLS and it is still pending. Too bad it is the only place you can get Indian visa, not even the embassy. What a good business.

Worst administrative service I have ever received in Singapore.
From "wrong" queue numbers, not working printing service, confused staff, to mistakes in application for business visa, resulting in request for resubmission (chargeable of course), this organisation is outrageously inefficient and certainly makes its customers waste hours, and dollars , by the hundreds, each week.
Strongly do not recommend if you have any alternative solution for your visa requests.

Poor service, long waiting queue. Be ready to wait for hours with patience. Make sure your mobile has enough battery and data, else you will be fucked up for sure.

We needed a visa quickly as it was an emergency and all the staff were very helpful in helping us get it. Total time spent there was 2 hours on a weekday morning.

Just I spoke to call center His name is Mr.Ravi as he said over the telephone to me. I enquired regarding renew my passport and update the address and surname. He just told me bring proof for the address he didnot told me what kind of supporting documents do they accept. For surname adding he just said write a letter to High commission I wanted to update my surname.but he didnot asked for the supporting documents.
For the photographs he just said bring passport Size withwhite baground .
Next he is telling once passport is ready will deliver it to my address but he didnot revealed the delivery charges.
He didnot even told by person we can go and collect.

He didnot told the passport renewal charges . And total cost also. And this payment how they will take it either through cash and visa. Nets.etc.
Call center Guy is don't have full knowledge and information about the services. And he is onesided talking but he don't want us to listen.

Surprisingly smoothsailing. I didnt encounter any of the problems mentioned by other reviewers - my photo was accepted though it wasnt in the required square format. I also didnt have to fill in my hotel address.

However, I did tell the staff that I could come down to collect my passport when it's ready, but she said to minimise the crowds they're sending the visas by courier. But she only told me it would cost $10 AFTER she printed the receipt! So I had no choice but to pay for the courier, even though I didnt ask for it.

I wish I read these reviews before I went to BLS international.

READ CAREFULLY! Do not rely on these people to get your VISA. You will miss your flight!

Staff are well trained not to make any commitments on processing time, rather they give you a range of days from 3 (EMERGENCY Visa) to 7 days, but don't think you'll get in 7 days its just a guide prepare to wait for a long time....

BLS is an authorized organization / agent by Indian Embassy. BLS is representing them with the WORST customer service level i ever encountered. The entire office was filled with trash here and there. Empty tissue boxes occupies the seats. Shouldn't the office be cleaned before the office is opened for business?

The operating hours starts at 9am. Customer service counter staffs arrive to work station at 9.45 - 10.30am. Staffs can answer us rudely when we question how come no one else there to cover, saying they are on the way to work and asking us to expect delays due to Monday usual crowd. They were also rude to other patrons as well.

No proper instructions given. The counter staffs make us go to and forth from one counter to another for same inquiry and instead of taking care at one counter for the same application. One of the staff does not even know where was counter 9 & 11 was. She directed us to counter 9 which she said its was the same as counter 11 for the services. They even charged us additional $5 for each application to be filled out. Then why does BLS have administration fees of $10.80 for each application?

Well basically, for that 3 hours, me and my husband experienced as though we were in some India offices for transactions.

** BLS does not even deserve that one star, unfortunately this post will not go thru without it!

Be careful. This organization has a tendency to charge $ when there is no reason. My wife was submitting a form for an Indian Visa, online. In the online form there is NO field to indicate place of stay in India, but the form includes that field (which is blank). The individual at BLS required my wife to hand fill in the form and then charged her $5! This is definetly not right and an issue that should be taken up with the Indian High Commission.
