- Checkin times are too late. Even if room is available they won't give it.
- Some staff members are really helpful while others are the exact opposite.
- Room size is small.

My company booked this hotel for me, we wanted the Paya Lebar one as it’s newer and closer to my company’s Singapore office.
I assume this is an old hotel as the walls are with many spots of stain, here and there. Maintenance not tip-top.
Towels were bad, with excessively big amount of leftover fabrics on my skin after wiping. I must say even some budget hotels have better towels than here.
This hotel is next to Singapore casket, a funeral company. Being foreigner, I didn't know during my first night's stay as I came from the other side of the street. Series of strange things happened in the room and I thought they were technical issues. Technician attended to me and said no spare part, so I left it as it is.
2am, odd things happened again and I couldn’t help to call to reception for a change of room, and shared my encounter. (I’ve stayed in numerous hotels alone and this is my first encounter with strange things and I have to emphasize I am not a superstitious person.) Something wasn’t right and I do not feel good, otherwise who on earth would request for a room change in the middle of the night, 2AM?
Reception told me there is only one room left, corner as well, slightly smaller. I took it anyway and the earlier technician came with the new room’s card. I told him what happened repeatedly and he replied rudely, “I have never seen such thing before. Maybe it’s you. If change to new room you still encounter the same thing, I advise you to leave the hotel.” I found this reply rude, absurd and not customer-orientated at all but it was middle of the night, so I just bore with it and changed room.
I had a better sleep in the second room. Second day of stay, I came back to hotel and wanted to explore the other street, only I came to realize the funeral company’s just next to the hotel. I had goosebumps and immediately packed and left the hotel. It confirmed my odd encounters and uncomfortable feelings.
I wouldn’t advise any of my colleague or friend to stay in this hotel.

Staff are nice enough - The hotel is old and dated don't expect too much inside. The location is convenient for a traveler with no kids. 12 Minutes walk to Lavender MRT station - 1 stop away from Bugis. No photos taken.

A very good hotel. Adequate for a family of 3. Breakfast with a decent spread and very courteous staff. Enjoyed the stay.

Rooms were a little small, but very comfortable. The breakfast was quite good, and they changed up the items a little everyday, which was nice.

Just average, staffs are friendly but they would surprise you asking for bond money and in cash [ not explained in the booking] , noisy corridor in the hotel, hard to find it from the main street, not a good value hotel

Best place to stay in Singapore. Breakfast was good. Only problem was delay in check in
Ali Sheikh (09/10/2017 11:21)
Reasonably priced. Most of the guests are booked by tour operators. Rooms are small and cramped. Rooms also have an after smell to them. There are better options nearby within the same price.

Budget place. Located around a kilometre from Mustafa centre. Clean and neat rooms, but quite small ones. I wish the receptionist people were a bit more friendly.
Rajkumar S (23/07/2017 23:33)
Pros:
#Reasonable room tariff. S$ 107 per night (tax included) for a small room with queen size bed. It's good for someone with small budget.
#Clean bathroom, house keeping
#Good staff
#Wifi free
#Many food joints at walkable distance
Cons:
#Tiny bathroom space
#View from hotel room not good
#MRT (metro train) Lavender station is 1.5km away. Difficult to walk every time. Bus stop not very near.
#No chair to sit down, there's a stool without backrest. Very difficult for people with spine problem or back pain.
#No health faucet in toilet and no mug provided
#Plug socket not suitable for Indians, so we need to get flatpin multiple pin socket on own.
#Reception lobby has only a 3 seater sofa. If it's occupied, we need to stand.
# Their restaurant is too expensive. $15 + tax for buffet breakfast. Not worth it if breakfast not included in room tariff.

Good place to stay only for short period. Say 2 to 3 days. Rooms are really small. Bathrooms are even more small. Some times kettle are not clean. They may claim fine for not keeping the kettle clean even though it's not your fault. So guys please be aware of these kind of things before you book this hotel rooms
Susovon Das (21/03/2017 10:19)

Paresh Antani (19/01/2017 14:24)
If u want to stay in this hotel, just drop the idea to come in Singapore. The worst ever hotel I have seen. Bogus rooms, pathetic view. So conjusted bathrooms. I just hate the stay. Spoiled my holidays. If there would be negative marking, I would give this minus 10 numbers.
surabhi anand (08/01/2017 03:08)
This is good hotel within budget of Rs 5000 a day at Lavender Street, Singapore. We stayed 4 days here and found that many other Indians were also stayed in the hotel. Breakfast was good but not much option. If you are found of only Indian food then you stay near Little India, there you can found lots of Indian Restaurant, but at little India you couldn't feel foreign atmosphere for what you came.

Chris Cadosch (18/09/2016 04:59)
Nice small hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff. You get a nice and for Singapore relations rather big room for small money. We've been in 3 hotels in Singapore before, this one is there first which was with three money.
