The dining experience was superb! I loved the delicious lobsters and helped myself to generous servings of it!! I will definitely return again in the near future.

First time visiting the hotel for a business event and stay. It is a comfortable hotel located within a busy district. It may be a little dated compared to other hotels however the service and comfort were all good. The food was good as well.

This hotel is well situated within the financial hub where business travellers can stay while on biz trip. Rooms are spacious and service is great! Good choice of dinning experience.

Beautiful hotel lobby and great taxi guiding service. Connects to the 100AM mall on Tras Street which has a basement supermarket and a bunch of eatries on every level. Great location for a tourist to base themselves as there is always something to do nearby.

The Amara hotel is a very nice hotel. The staff are all very very friendly and accommodating and will go above and beyond to help you during your stay. The gym is open 24 hours and the pool is open until 10pm. The room service is available around the clock. Perfect for when you just land and still have jetlag! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Singapore. It's a 5-10 minute drive to the marina. The room was a little old fashioned, but nothing wrong with it all. Lots of mirrors in the bathroom too, which depending on body confidence can be a bad or good thing I guess! There is a fridge in the room, and a supermarket next door in the 100AM mall. I would recommend getting drinks from there and putting them in the fridge, as drinks are expensive!

Really nice business hotel close to the CBD and entertainment. Well maintained, friendly staff (they agreed to hold some of my luggage for two weeks while I was in Northern Europe) and a great breakfast. Easy walk to the Hawkers Markets for Singapore’s most authentic meal.

Went to the Korea restaurant on the 2nd floor of Amara hotel. The food is good and cheap at the same time (approx. $20). Highly recommended.

I have to think there are more polished alternatives for budget conscious travelers than this. Hairs and used contacts stuck to bathroom sink upon check in. Yuck. Bathroom doors didn't function. On the plus side, friendly staff, good location, especially for the money.

3 Stars are more than enough for a Hotel that definetly needs a renovation on the rooms and the pool area. For this price you will find much nicer Hotels in Singapore. To be honest, the only thing we will keep in mind was the friendly and helpful staff as well as the breakfast. Will not stay there again

I've spent a long weekend in Amara recently!
The hotel is nice: big rooms, a nice and big swimming pool outside and a small gym with view on the pool!
What made the stay very nice was the cellphone I got in my room with free calls to some countries (not Italy) and unlimited internet which helped me to visit the city!!!
Just take more care to cleanliness in the room and gym...

Went there for a wedding dinner. The wedding Hall I went to is spacious but it's more of a long Hall rather than a wide one. The staff are very efficient and friendly when approached. Room given to the bride is also spacious and well equipped. Spend a nice time preparing for the wedding despite the tight schedule for the wedding events.

Great help from the banquet manager, Jeffrey, for my friend’s wedding here. It made things much more manageable and made sure we all enjoyed the event despite the frenetic start.

Upon arrival I was promptly greeted, my bags taken and I was dorected to check in. Check in was fairly smooth however the concierge did have a little trouble finding my reservation. Once in my room, I found it a little dated in parts (the main bathroom) but others were very modern (the actual shower). The bed at first seemed very firm, not my preference, however I had a particularly good sleep. The view from my room (9th floor) was quite pleasant and was one of a tennis court, leafy green area amongst some tall towers. The included buffet breakfast was nice, however the coffee was better down the road from a cafe. Checkout was quick and seamless, and there always seemed to be taxis available right outside (or perhaps this was just timing). Overall my experience was good and the staff, being polite and helpful, were definitely the highlight.

Friendly staff on arrival, they'll assist you with your bags. Room size is adequate but on the smaller size. Bed was comfortable but quite firm. TV reception was ok to poor, some channels being unwatchable, movie channel was good. Mini bar was limited, although complimentary. Bathroom was very big with great water pressure and a big bath. Water temperature did fluctuate but was manageable.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Selection was vast and everything was very tasty.
WiFi speed and connection was good throughout.
Check out was painless and quick.

Good option if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in Singapore. Not to far away from things to do. It was easy to get here by train from the airport but it took a while.

Attended a wedding at Amara. Ambience was good, the setting, the mood is very comforting. Easy to get to by bus, car or mrt. Walkable distance. Nearby have many good foods joints and shopping. There's a Starbucks next door too!

Stayed at this hotel for about a week. Pleasant staff, and cleanliness. About 5-minute walk from the nearest MRT station. Good amenities set and spacious bedroom.
I have not tried the breakfast buffet, so I cannot rate it. There is also a gym and a pool, which didn't try, but seemed good.
There is Maxwell Hawker's center about 10 minutes from the hotel on food, with excellent food choices.

Nice hotel and decor. Great entrance and friendly staff. Excellent location within outskirts of CBD. Have access to nearby shops where you can experience Singapore culture and local eateries. Is located beside a shopping mall as well so convenient to shop for services as well.
sunil g (12/08/2017 15:19)
The location is good. Breakfast buffet was also good. Room is spacious.
But the place is not really well maintained. I did a booking for my official visit through our travel partner , but due to the delay in response from Amara reservation team, had to face a lot of problem. I will not prefer going back to this place in future.
Philip Chan (25/07/2017 03:54)
Hotel room is quite spacey but it is not well maintained. We had to change one room because the first room shower stall had mold on the surface. The staff it was difficult to remove and therefore they gave us another room. The management send over a fruit plate later as compliment to apologize. Pool Deck is a bit old and could use some upgrade. Overall, the location is good and convenient.

Our group of friends went to Bar-roque at Amara for dinner and drinks. The service and food was awesome amid the hefty bill at the end of the dinner. It was still well worth it as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
ivan yeong (09/07/2017 10:02)
Good location and offer various food options. The Element restaurant offers great buffet spread. They are having promotion for the month of July. Second dinner at 50% off.
Allan Dale Ho (30/06/2017 13:32)
We go there for lunch almost every working day. The food at 100am food center provides good food choices. I haven't actually booked a hotel at amara. But the reception area looks great.
Nicholas Lin (24/06/2017 13:01)
The hotel is in a less trendy location, but it's up and coming. They cater a lot to tour groups from China that is to say the guests can be a little rough at times. The mall next to it has some interesting eats, but closes early on weekends. Oh and the business centre is closed on Sundays. Which is pretty ridiculous
Terence Ang (18/06/2017 17:11)
Stayed here for 3 days 2 nights at their club room. The room is pretty spacious and also offers a great view as the club rooms are at the top few levels. The club lounge itself is also great as you can have meals there while enjoying the view. The service provided in the hotel is also great, especially in the club lounge. Overall, I had a great stay and experience with the hotel.

Really nice hotel that has a mini mall beside it (Amara shopping centre), What I like about it, is that it's nearby the city center and an MRT station.
Has a cafe in the ground floor as well as a buffet restaurant.
Affordable, clean rooms and super, professional staff.

This review is meant for the high tea in Amara Hotel. Took up a Groupon offer sometime ago, and came on a weekend. Their cafe is located at the first floor infront of the reception. Chose this because they serve TWG teas, and the high tea set is of good value. Food wise nothing fantastic though, quality is average but the scones are quite nice.
Kelvin Yeo (03/03/2017 10:11)
Nice and cozy, affordable, but bathtub a little shallow

Jared Glasshoff (19/02/2017 08:33)
Stayed here on two occasions, thought I'd give it a second chance. Mildew in bathrooms (A lot! On toilet, in sink, in shower, in bathtub), toilet seat very loose (don't fall off!), some power outlets don't work, no clock anywhere in the rooms, TV picture not clear at all and only the basic channels (IE. No movie channels, has Discovery and National Geographic, but hard to see the picture) - all this on both occasions. This last time there was an iron in the room, though the ironing board needed to be wedged to keep it standing up as the legs were bent - imagine the cheapest ironing board you've seen, now set something heavy on it, then sit on it and you'll get a good mental image. Staff seem to be friendly, though only after you've proved to them that you actually have a room, and then they give short answers as if you might be interrupting them. Planning another trip to Singapore for two weeks in a couple months where my company is flying in many others around the glove for a meet up, I'll be advising them not to book anyone here and I won't be staying again. After a day at work in a foreign country, coming back to the room and finding the basics should be the least that a hotel ensures they provide. Treated like a foreigner who doesn't belong in the hotel until they are sure you have a room is just a slap in the face.

Bare bones hotel with basic amenities and dated decor. Great lobby and location though. Skip the breakfast and look around the area for better, cheaper options.

Have yet to stay in the hotel but the restaurants in the hotel are amazing. My favourite Korean restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel. The best in Singapore.

Accessible and cheap. Near the tanjong pagar train station. Has food court Watson and some restaurants. Fitness first and pet food can be found here too.

Have over the past 10 years stayed at the Amara Hotel frequently, and there is a very good reason for returning. The friendly and attentive service makes being away from home palatable. Basically from walking into the hotel till leaving for the airport again, I know I am in safe hands.
The service and care at the Club Lounge is not only valued dearly , but above all very much appreciated.
Hans Koning.

Good value. Location is good, rooms are spacious though bathrooms could be taken care of better. I have stayed at the Amara for the first time several years ago and it used to feel more premium. Can definitely use a refurbishment soon. Wi-Fi is excellent without device limit. Several restaurants in the hotel offer a good selection of food choices.
Akila Wawa (30/06/2016 06:01)
The buffet was pretty good. I mostly slept so didn't take advantage of their other facilities. But the swimming pool looked quite nice.

Nice location. Staff helpful. Close to MRT station, when coming from the airport. Rooms were nice, just a little dated and needed some basic maintenance. It is nice fot the middle of Singapore.
Gary McRae (23/05/2016 08:28)
Location, location, location! That's the great thing about the Amara. Spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Within walking distance of am MRT station and plenty of bus routes.
