Very good hotel. stayed here for my company business meetings. Good staff, quite place, nice and spacious rooms.
It has a beautiful sky pool in the 4th floor with view of Sentosa.

Amara is a very lovely and quaint hotel nestled in Sentosa. There is a free shuttle bus to bring guest from vivo city, so it is fairly easy to get there. The architecture is pretty and the staff are very friendly.

Beautiful serene resort with modern amenities in gorgeous colonial military base. Staff very helpful and friendly, offered us an upgrade from a suite to a villa opening on to the pool which was amazing. Some problems with the air con and tv sound but these were fixed quickly. Great room service and food options, and stunning green views from the open bathroom at the back that opens on to the pool.

Not really 5-star, more like 4. Centrally located on Sentosa island, free parking if an overnight guest. Generally quiet and away from the crowd, some rooms on the upper floors have sea views. However, the rooms a little old and worn; they could get more maintenance. Some of the facilities like the jacuzzi weren't working. Had the benefit of checking this place out due to out-of-town friends looking for a place to stay when visiting Singapore.

Function hall is big and new . Good lighting and excellent sound system. It's within sentosa so travelling is not an issue. They have a few peacocks running around. That was nice to watch. However food is super horrible. For a establishment as big as them even the pastries are very limited.

We spent 3D2N in the poolside villa. Great experience. Service is good, though we didn't really require much of it.

Getting in and out via the free shuttle bus is convenient, and the resort has a direct path to Palawan beach.

The villa itself looks a little old, and could use a fresh coat of paint. The pool isn't very well lit at night, which is a bummer too.

Nice smallish hotel with some colonial style building s renovated from army past occupation. Gardens very nice to walk around. Staff are very helpful & polite. Beware booking the Larkhill terrace 'Couples' suite's as the hotel also let these rooms to families with children, which can make them noisy at all hours, as we discovered & had to be moved to a quieter room for the remainder of our holiday. Generally I think this is more of a short stay hotel.

The resort is on the island of Sentosa. The resort has multiple types of rooms which will be able to cater for different groups of people and needs. It is rather accessible with its own free shuttle bus service. Some of the rooms are converted from historic buildings but meets the modern living. The resort services are fantastic.

Been here for a staycation, booked a couple suite with direct access to the pool. Rooms were quite old, had a free cake but no knife or utensils were given. Service was sop and decent. Breakfast was pretty nice, they had a good spread of different varieties. The only unique experience was that the pool was directly accessible from the hotel room. Overall decent experience, but won't return.

It's good for family and couples who just want to get away from crowd and have their time for themselves. It's located in quiet place, though it's nearby the public transit station. not much view to see around from the hotel room. Friendly staffs. Over all, had a great experience.

Went for a wedding reception. The service there was professional and everything went smoothly as planned. The food and drinks were of a buffet style and the quality of the food is top notch. Staff was also very courteous and friendly to us. Location was also beautiful with a nice scenery as the backdrop. Will recommend to others for similar events or functions as it is a great place.

Beautiful villa! Am a returning guest. I've also stayed in their normal rooms before. They are lovely as well! The pool has a gorgeous view, perfect for taking photos! Buffet breakfast with lots of choices and the staff are helpful and friendly!

It is a great location, being in Sentosa makes you feel you are outside of Singapore. Loved the greenery, the sunset from the rooftop pool and the open space. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite and I loved having outdoor space and some privacy. The room is nice but you can see that it hasn't been trough a lot of maintenance. Loved the old buildings it gives the place a little charm. Sadly the service is not what I would have expected from a "5 stars hotel": food was just ok at the restaurant, nothing surprising. I found it unbelievable that we had to wait over one hour for towels to arrive at the pool, asked 3 different people, even went to the front desk! and nobody could helped us. Liked it, but definitely I expected more from it. :)

Got a chance to attend a conference in one of the ball room. In general spacious is one of the factor, the hotel can claim. Good hospitality.

Jie Loh (10/09/2017 13:31)
The skypool is relaxing and the rooms were beautiful with a garden view. Peacocks could be spotted at times. However, the hotel service was rather lacking. Counter check in was slow and rooms weren't ready at 3pm.

Daryl Lim (10/09/2017 09:31)
Good service, great ambience and location. Room is well furnished and has great views of the sea. Only gripe is that room check-in took way longer than 3pm,but were compensated with later checkout

Christopher Lee (21/07/2017 13:18)
It's a beautiful hotel on Sentosa Island. It has such a relaxing tranquil vibe to the whole place that is just incredible. Loved the complimentary ethnic drinks and snacks at the lobby and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. The room is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Really enjoyed the visit

Grace Koh (18/07/2017 07:48)
Loved the villa and the privacy. Friendly staff. Good service. Especially when we keep taking the buggy car in and out. no complains but great smile on their face.

Poh Shi Hui (09/07/2017 13:32)
The room is big and clean. Service was good too but they adhere pretty strictly to the check in time of 3pm.

Sherwin Neo (18/06/2017 14:31)
The swimming pool was gorgeous and the rooms were quaint. Very suitable for couples to visit

pqoe hle (18/06/2017 03:38)
location is excellent. we booked the courtyard suite and I dont think its worth the money for a dirty and old place like this. room service barely arrives and buggy is next to useless. I have to say however, the restaurant food and service was extremely good. toilet does not have a lock and there isn't a bathtub. no facilities except pool.

João Moreno (02/06/2017 15:39)
A bit dated and underwhelming for a five star hotel. There was a periodic drilling noise coming from the bathroom all night long, which made it pretty hard to sleep.

Daniel Ding Yi (02/04/2017 10:43)
Very nice place to stay! Love the view and services here.

Edwin Tan Boon How (26/03/2017 02:30)
Pretty place and decent service. Love the Kachang puteh bar! :P

Jeremy Hellven Chua (14/03/2017 09:30)
Lovely rooftop pool.

Nice mansion.

Great service from hotel staff but unfortunately short handed.

THE ICE LEMON TEA AT LOBBY IS A MUST TRY.

Really nice place for photos especially sunset

Kamikaze Eadwine (26/02/2017 15:03)
Little hard to find your way up here , anyways the room is pretty small , and parties are not recommended here as the management only allows up to 3 people in a room ! Couples haven though !

Gede Navales (31/01/2017 15:39)
Reasonable pricing for its location. Great food, friendly staff and was a great experience. Would love to visit again.

Qing Huang Chan (12/01/2017 06:19)
The physical condition of the room we stayed in is pretty bad.. Pillows were moldy, in-room nespresso machine had a dried out capsule in it, water stains every where inside and outside. Not worth the money. But, I must say the location is great, and the pools are nice.

Johnray Lee (05/01/2017 12:36)
Staff were very friendly, stayed on a week day and it seemed quite empty so we got a free upgrade! The pools are great with towels and water. Being a cheapskate Singaporean (not all sporean are like that) we took bottles of water when we went out around the island. One thing i appreciate is them having mosquito coils burnt at the pool area when requested so that you don't get mozzies around you.

The stay was awesome and staff were very friendly, it was a celebration for an anniversary, ordered flowers and they helped place in the room before arrival and informed when it has been done. Nearby to the beaches as well so you don't have to worry about travelling around

The 3 stars is mainly due to the service provided. Staff are all very nice and kind. But the room we stayed isn't very clean. Sofa has stain and there's a empty PET bottle on the balcony. Luckily, the bed and bathroom are very clean. I think their cleaners should have been more careful.

Try to get an upgrade to a room with balcony on the ground floor. You can even open the balcony doors to sleep. So breezy and serene. Worth having a romantic staycation here!

Ervin Yeo (11/07/2016 20:15)
Very nice hotel, even for a weekend staycation. The pool right behind the room is also relatively private.

Nathaniel Ng Li Wen, (17/05/2016 12:29)
Not only have I stayed there, I have booked this venue as my wedding in 2017! The sales team is amazing, providing personal and lovely service for both my finance and me. If you are thinking of a place to hold your big day! Please do consider this place!

Evan Sidarto (04/05/2016 07:22)
Service - is average. I expect staff to greet guests and say hello or good morning, etc when they see guests, especially in the hallways. However, they just don't say anything. Makes them appear uninterested. We checked in at 7pm and it still took a bit of time for them to figure out which room was available for us to stay.

Rooms - we stayed at the sanctuary, which are the standard hotel-like rooms. Ours faced the wedding chapel, which was nice. Quite big, though furniture is a bit dated and pillows are a bit big and hard for my liking. Otherwise nothing too special.

Facilities - they have a few pools. The sky pool is mainly for adults and has a nice view of the strait of Singapore. The kids pool is small but fun, it has a small water slide. Just be careful as the water is a bit shallow. I didn't use the gym but it's fairly big and has been equipment.

Location is excellent as is a short walk to Palawan beach and port of lost wonder, which is great for kids.

Overall if you lower your expectations a bit and don't compare this to say Capella or the other high-end resorts in Sentosa, you'll be fine. It's a lot "cheaper" also, so keep that in mind.

Stayed at Sanctuary Amara yesterday with my wife. How it ever got a rating as a 5 Star Hotel is puzzling. It's at the most a 3 Star Hotel.

The room though spacious is very dated with some parts of furniture dropping off.

Bathroom is very dirty with scums on the wall and floor is dirty with stains. Also the lever that controls the Hand Shower and Rain Shower was missing.

We were given discount vouchers to use. When we presented our voucher at the restaurant when we were settling our bill , we were told that its not valid for their Set lunches - this was not told to us when the vouchers were given.

We also had a bad experience with their shuttle service when returning from Harbourfront pickup point. We waited for the 10pm pickup which did not arrive. After repeated calls to the hotel the shuttle bus finally came at 10.30pm.

The only compliment I have is that their counter staff were very polite and the food at the restaurant was pretty good.

I would not recommend anyone staying at the hotel. I think there are better hotels in Sentosa that is worth staying.

Michael Hofmann (06/03/2016 03:40)
Buildings and rooms have a very nice design as they are in a renovated old British army compound. However, with all the other hotels on Sentosa, the Amara felt very empty. Also, it's not a real Sanctuary if the roller-coaster of RWS is rattling by across the street and some kids have a party all night. Service of the hotel was good. Service of the spa was non-existing. Better to spend your money someplace else.

Here to attend a wedding solemnization & dinner.

They have a very private spot for the ceremony, very pretty bubble in the middle of greens. The restaurant is just beside the venue space.

The dinner was good. 4 course. Love the foie gras But the main that I had, a fish was disappointing. The meat was tough, very overcook. And the sauce is better without.
