Pretty good traditional dessert house that's been a staple for many Chinatown visitors over the years. Priced reasonably and taste decently too. Expect nothing fancy though.

Nice local desserts with a home-cooked feel. Although they have a good selection of flavoured shaved ice (try the chendol flavour!), I prefer the bowls of desserts like the cold water chestnut soup. And if you need a bite, the carrot cake and chee cheong fun are not bad too!

One of the best Dessert place to go. Pop in after a walk at Chinatown. It does get busy with long que and hard to get a seat.

One of the oldest dessert shops in Chinatown Singapore. Surprised to see that they grew to occupy the other 2 neighbouring shops. Menu variety has remain largely unchanged overtime. Noticed the addition of pumpkin rice cake on top of what they usually offered in the past (standard rice cake and yam). Service crew was bordering rude, probably because there were so many customers but serve time was almost instant. Place was airconditioned and price was okay for the food quality offered.

the chocolate ice flakes was awesome. The only problem is that the shop was quite far. We took quite long to walk there, luckily for us, it wasn't so crowded. i suggest, if you're planning to go, go on morning or afternoon, less crowded.

They have so many variety of dessert for you to choose from now. When I was young, there is only so handful. This shop comes with a long history. Located exactly where she is now. Time flies and she has kept up with society changes. Innovative is the key. Still as pack as when I'm young. Difficult to get seats on weekend!

Have been here thrice. Good service, orders were served very fast! Quite traditional Chinese-looking interior. During the second visit, I brought my grandpa, he enjoyed it here and the staff helped him from his wheelchair (as it was not wheelchair accessible). Can get quite crowded too. Despite that, their desserts are nice, they serve snow ice as well as a range of more traditional local desserts. Would recommend their Mango Sago and sesame soup.

SHAVED ICE AKA CHINESE ICE CREAM. I DONT KMOW WHY IM TYPING IN CAPS. SESAME ALMOND IS MY FAVOURITE FLAVOUR. I find some of the fruit flavours artificial, but they're still awesome on a sunny day. The nut pastes are quite yummy too. They have almond, sesame, and walnut. And I think peanut too. You can ask for combinations of them! Also the coconut covered mango, also seemingly nondescript, is a steady winner. It's a nice light snack if you want something small.

A bit disappointing having had excellent shaved snow in the SF Bay Area. The texture is not really airy, soft or fine. Flavor was also underwhelming, which I now understand has to do with it being artificial according to previous reviews. I would also skip on the bird's nest unless you really want it for the presumed health benefits.

The desserts are just great! From hot to cold snow ice shaved desserts with many flavours... They're just the best! Loved it! :)

DO NOT TRY ALL THE DESSERT WITH ‘FRUITS’ FLAVOURS! Artificial colouring and flavoured! Go with the hot 1!

Delicious dessert, try their mango ice or cendol. Its perfect on hot weather.

Traditional asian warm and cold desserts. Popular with locals and tourists. Prepare to wait for a table. Affordable, delicious. Highly recommend the snow ice desserts for a hot day!

Good place to try all traditional and snow ice desserts. Portions are smaller now especially mango pomelo sago where it's not sweet.
Pumpkin cake is nice.

A crowded place for cold and warm desserts. The shaved ice is popular and the almond and black sesame paste is very good indeed without overly sweet yet smooth enough to finish the whole easily.

The place to go for traditional desserts. Good variety on menu. Love their mango roll, the fruit is juicy and sweet!
Marvin King Liu (28/05/2017 07:35)
I've come here a couple of times, usually after a big meal in Chinatown. Desert dishes all hover around 5sgd, and are served quickly. Best to get a seat first before ordering at the counter. Good for groups and is often crowded. From what I can tell they do take reservations.
Matthias Lampe (14/05/2017 02:08)
Very good traditional desserts. We had the mango roll which is fresh mango wrapped in coconut meat and the mango with ice. Both great! The place has an authentic atmosphere.

I am their yearly customer. Will at least eat the dessert there once a year since 2011. Wide range of good dessert. Please prepare enough money...✌🏻

I ordered Mango Strawberry Snow Ice. It's so refreshing, but nothing's special. I think the strawberry flavor tastes like artificial syrup.
Steven L Santoso (23/02/2017 08:35)
A really great place to relax and unwind after a long day. It's pretty spacious inside, could probably hold 100-200 ppl. The snow ice cream is good, it shows a different texture from shaved ice cream, giving it a mixed taste between the ice and the flavour. Pricing is reasonable, seeing how it's also located near a tourist attraction site.

Most memorable desert in Chinatown. I ALWAYS order coconut pudding. It's top shelf.
Fabien Herry (19/01/2017 18:18)
Dessert are simple, little amount of wait for it to be served. But quite crowded as it is popular. The price is very decent, but not all dessert are that good. Presentation is sometimes a little bit off.

Delicious desert starting from $5.50 for ice shaved and $3.50 onwards for hot desert. Wide varieties and flavours to choose from. Seats are filled up quickly. Small local snacks also available to fill you up.

We ordered Yam Paste and Milk-Tea Shave Ice. The Yam Paste was smooth and tasty; though not as flavorful as those we've had in other high-class restaurants. Still, it tasted good.
The ice in the Milk-Tea shave ice had a smooth texture; probably because it's finely shaved, definitely more fine than the shaved ice you might get at hawker center. The milk-tea flavor wasn't evenly distributed throughout: stronger in some parts of the ice than others.
We also tried their Mango wrap, which was basically slices of mango wrapped in some dessert skin. It was nice but not something to die for.
We definitely like the variety of desserts available here, and felt that the price was reasonable enough that we might visit again.

Had mango pomelo sago for $5. Half of the sago was CRUNCHY. I had never had crunchy sago in my life. Also it was diluted. We told it to the waitress who did admitted that sago should be soft but we had to prompt her a second time to communicate this to the kitchen. And she did not offer to replace the bowl or do anything about it. Plenty of other places with cheaper and better mango sago out there.
Swee Theng Fong (29/09/2016 11:55)
Over rated. Expensive. Service lousy. This is always the case. When business is good, it leads to arrogance. I can get a bowl of chendol at less than 1/2 price at People' Park. This is my last. visit.
Yeu Jou (10/09/2016 06:14)
Poor service. Grumpy stuff. Over-rated. Just because it's in the guide.books doesn't mean it's good. I get the same desserts in malls all over Singapore. The only good thing is the location - not.many places sell.cold desserts around Chinatown. Just take the MRT and go to any air-conditioned food courts located in every malls in Singapore and you'll get better service, cheaper desserts and a cleaner environment.
Robert Chohan (18/07/2016 22:24)
This place effectively serves ice kachang which is available very cheaply all over Singapore. What separates this place from the rest is that they offer a much more premium experience offering many flavours of shaved ice (lychee, mango, durian, watermelon, grape, strawberry, chocolate - the list goes on) with a wide choice of desserts on the menu (e.g. mango and lychee with popping balls).
Expect to pay about 6 dollars per dessert on average. It gets very busy, even considering it's a double unit and had plenty of tables.

Great ice desserts for a hot day! Delicious and not too sweet.
wan tinwai (25/06/2016 02:14)
Great desserts, both hot and cold ones. Like the chendol chendol shaved ice, black sesame paste and the durian shaved ice. Service is reasonably good too. Can get really crowded during the weekends, as it is featured on many tourists' guide book.
Trixia Quek (26/05/2016 06:11)
Dessert is good! Love the food but one of the staff serving me has a really bad attitude. She should not scold or shout at customers. This is clearly disappointing.
Shi Wei (04/05/2016 02:01)
A good place for traditional Chinese desserts and snow ice. It feels good to something sweet and cold to cool down from the hot weather.
Benjamin Tan (01/04/2016 11:50)
Dessert shop that offers a great variety of dessert. You can find many traditional Chinese dessert like peanut paste, mango sago or gluttonous rice balls and they also have snow shaved ice desserts.
Prices are very reasonable too!
