amazing summit in 8 hours hike via Pengubengan Villages to Puncak Sejati. one of my favourite Summit. In the east you can see Mount Rinjani in the west you can see Mount Semeru. was there on September 2017. the forest is amazing during the days. the white flower likes baby breathe is everywhere. all you can see is green and beautiful path. all spot is beautiful in camera. there is a place for camp before the rocky path. hike with guide is a must. 1 guide maximal for 5 persons. if you want to catch the Sunrise you better start at 7 or 8pm from Pengubengan for easy & slow motion hike. so you can take a rest for few hours in the Cave they called it. from the cave to the puncak sejati takes 2 hours because we takes so many selfies. the wind from the cave to get to 2nd summit is very strong. because this area is open surface. once you get to the 2nd summit the wind is stop. this area is covered by the summit. from the 2nd summit to the peak it's call horse back path. i was hike to Mount Agung before via Pura Pasar Agung (Pasar Agung Temple) to get to the Puncak Naga (Dragon Summit). I prefer via Pengubengan village. You can Park you car or Bike in Pengubengan Temple. there is a shop that selling snack, food and satay. they also have toilet. the water is very cold. We are Balinese we pray before we hike. provide some offering as a peace masaage for all creatures who live in the forest and the mountain. and don't bring any food that contain of beef. as it is only takes less than 1 day to get to the summit and back, don't bring many stuff. 2 big water bottle and some snack bars is enough.

If you have an extra day in Bali, Mount Agung is definitely the peak you want to consider to reach. With its pyramid like shape, you don't need to worry about setting up tent and all those trouble preparation for mount climbing, just carry enough water to last. At the main summit you'll be rewarded with far reaching view of Bali and as far as Mt Rinjani in Lombok.

This volcano offer a very beautiful view of Bali. Perfect point to watch the sunrise.
Be careful; very difficult hike! High technical level. The ground is slippery EVERY TIME!
