Hated it. No duvet. No receptionist late at night. Rooms are too cluttered. Breakfast is very limited. Had the 'do not disturb' sign on the door and the ladies knocked and came into my room to check if I used any of the drinks in the mini bar. Sorry didn't enjoy my stay.

Only went for a swim and beer there and it was nice, beach in front was good clean and nice swimming

I am extremely happy and satisfied with my visit to the hotel. It's not a 5 star hotel with lot of amenities but yes if you are looking for a good hospitality and a nice beach view plz visit this place. It is 1 hour plus away from the airport and u have to pay for ur pick up and drop. It has it's own small open restaurant and s bar. They have few nice options like pizza soups and salads. But in.main course not many options for vegetarian. When we visited there was a live orchestra which also performed some Bali dance. The waitress are so friendly and cheerful ....If you can bargain well then u actually can have loads of fun like water activities and visit places.I would surely recommend this place and would love to visit again. 👍

This review is solely based on our food experience as we only went there seeking a good fresh meal. We ordered a pasta, pizza and nachos. The pasta was the best of the worst! Besides being slightly dry it was edible. The pizza was awful, tasted like it had been frozen for months and bought at a Cocomart. The nachos should not be called nachos but rather 8 pieces of soggy dough placed on a plate with daddy's brown sauce in the center. In closing, the food should be at a much higher standard for the kind of price displayed.

Have stayed at this Beach Club 4 times and returning again in 9 weeks - WHY ?? Because of the Very Typical Balinese Hospitality and Honesty (Kama). The friendliness of staff - quite and relaxing ambience - wide variety of great food - and clean accommodation is respected. You are treated like family - NOT like a paying traveling guest ! Recommended.
Sister Resort Bali Palms is also Highly Recommended

This is a very detailed review. All in all, I rate it 5 stars, because it is indeed a great location and resort.
We stayed in the offpeak season Late April.
Candidasa is a great location in Bali if you want to relax and stay out of the full on tourist area. It still has many things to see, but you can always do a day trip to Ubud to see more tourist things. While we were there we say the 1. Water Palaces, 2. Old Village (oldest village in Bali predating Hinduism 3. Rice Patties 4. Art Gallery 5. Markets 6. Bali Plantation.
We stayed in room 24, which is 2nd level, overlooks restaurant and you can see some water.
The staff here, as well as the whole area are REALLY well manured and will go out of your way to get you anything you require. English is quite good compared to a few other places as well.
This is one of the only resorts in the area where you have a small beach frontage, which is good because sometimes the pool although not heated, is too hot, so the ocean is cooler and you can take a dip.
Massages are available right on the water for only $9 for 1 hour which is great value.
The restaurant is nice and food is decent, however for the prices they are charging on some meals, you can get better elsewhere such as Vincents or Refresh. We ate half our meals at the restaurant because of convenience although prices were high. We never got sick or food poisoning and food was all above standards. If restaurant food quality increased and prices came down a bit, this would be a 6 star review.
There is many boat people on the beachfront that will offer to take you snorkelling or to White Sand Beach. We went to White Sand Beach and also snorkelled around the little islands. If I had my time again I would probably only go and snorkel around the little Islands, it was a lot better than White Sand Beach. For half a day trip snorkelling for two it should be no more than 500k, for four people no more than 700k, for longer trips allow more $$. White Sand beach is not really that White, it still has a lot of Black sand and you will find many nicer beaches in Australia, however you can sit on the beach and have food/drinks served to you from many restaurants sitting on the forefront and go for a dip in the very clear water.
It is worth doing the cooking glass and the day trip offered by the Resort. It’s a great price and an experience that can’t be had other places. We picked out a main meal, and desert, then went into a local village where fresh produce was bought and then we came back and cooked it up with the in house Chefs.
Bali Palms is owned by the same owners and you can travel for free between the two. Bali Palms Resort has a full spa treatment, bigger pool and facilities, gift shop and ATM. They also host a few events on such as live bands. We visited three times during our stay and it was great.
Our room had aircon, tv, bathroom, bath, shower and room service every day. Our room was cleaned, bed made, and bottled water provided during room service.

Tiny pool and not a lot of entertainment though the staff are polite. Most staff don't follow through accommodating guests though. Probably due to language barrier. The guest relations staff Tini has done very well in taking care of most of the guest needs and is very personable.

Very pleasant place by the seaside to enjoy local foods, well prepared and some reasonable wines. Excellent outside seating with good views

Reception were well greet us. Room are clean whether for studio size is quit small. Furniture doesn't match with bed.
Bed not so comfy but still ok. Aircon are new and good make us can relax after trekk to Bukit Juru hill.
Seafood soup are excellent. I love it.

Wifi not work well need to sign in and sign in again.

Just went there for a small stop and snack.
Juices had no real taste. Calamari appetizer consisted of 4 calamaris lol. Beware of the 21% tax and service charge.

I hated this place called Bali Shangrila Beach Club as the staff at their restaurant put up a very dirty face every time we went for dinner. And once their attendant shouted and fought with me & my friend too.
