We had our first introduction to freediving on a 2 day beginners course. The course was well organised and completely professional, with the right mix of content - classroom based theory to explore the mental and physical challenges of freediving and time out in the water to practice. All of the instructors were knowledgeable, friendly and supportive, helping us to build confidence in the water, and under it!

Best hangout place in Amed. Awesome food and staff. Owners are building a new location on the hill near Jemeluk bay, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Freediving heaven. Apneista is where to go for freediving in Amed...perfect location beachfront at Jemeluk Bay, highly professional, safe, and concientious instructors...a nice family atmosphere. Look no further for your freediving adventure in Bali!

I recommend this place unreservedly. I did Level 1 and Level 2 with Apneista. Was only planning to do Level 1 but I had so much fun I decided to do Level 2 as well. I'll be back to do a L3 and Master course as soon as I can. The teaching in the classroom is engaging and fun - I am a teacher so I know good teaching when I see it - and the sessions in the water feel safe with absolutely no pressure to go deep or make anyone do anything they aren't ready for. At the same time, my abilities were gently extended as I grew more confident. Food at the restaurant is excellent. Even if you're not freediving, the centre is a great place to hang out.

Apneista freedive is without a doubt the go to place in Amed , whether you're into free diving or not ...
a cool relaxed vibe welcomes you as soon as you walk in the door and a varied and healthy menu with freshly prepared ingredients and a great range of juices adds to the experience.
The team are first and foremost professional and from the get go instills confidence. They're also a lot of fun , enthusiastic and accommodating and our time there doing level I ( 2 days ) and II ( 3 days ) flew by way too fast.
Big thanks to all of you for making this a really memorable experience - in particular , Patricia with her beaming smile and total commitment to helping me with my ear issues , Emilia for level I , Felipe for level II , Tanya for her assistance in both level I + II and sharing all her deserts ( not ) and all the kitchen staff who always are smiling and friendly.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Go check it out and find out what freediving is all about. You won't regret it and you won't find a better operation to experience it with
We'll be back ...

The best!!! This place by far has the best vibes and provides the best freediving experience! Very unique in its approach. Loved the instructors and the cafe is fantastic. Magical beach-side moonlight yoga at night.

I had a amazing time at apneista. the whole team were very patient and attentive the entire time. the water and aquatic life in amed is beautiful. I am stoked with the knowledge I gained after the level 1 and advanced course. it's amazing to find out what the human body is really capable of and also learn to push through mental barriers with relaxation .
thanks alot guys !

Completed level 1 and I'll be doing level 2 soon. Really recommend the place and the teachers which are 100% professional. There place has a lovely chill out area with great snacks. I've also found equipment to be really good for Bali standards.

Completed SSI level 1 driving course with Matthew.
Managed to learn to equalize using Frenzel technic, & can now equalize head down (big step!) & went down to 16m :)
All that in only 2 days! What else to say?
Note: if you have a cold or anything close to it, do NOT do the course, you most likely will have to skip the dives and miss the whole experience.
