The rooms are good looking at first sight, but are actually really not clean and uncomfortable. Some lights work, others won’t turn off. The only bright side about not being able to sleep well, is I was up to watch sunrise. The ‘service’ is as minimal as it gets, the management is awful and only want your money, but the workers are cute and nice but don’t speak English. They’re breakfast is absolutely terrible, a tiny plate of bad fruit instant coffee and cheap bread. They wanted me pay more for this awful food. I’d absolutely never go back and left after one night, I would recommend you go just down the street to some of the other places that are much nicer and more friendly. Save your money and experience all of the better parts of Bali, my first experience with rude Balinese people, and hopefully my last.

If you like no tv no hot water a hike to shops no security when someone is being bashed at night this is the place for you

Checking out early. The bed isn't an actual mattress, our bed sheets smell like mold, and the room isn't as clean as it should be. Some staff are good some are terrible. We had to wait for a menu to order dinner! They didn't have enough menus for the guests! This is the worst hotel I've stayed at in Bali... And honestly this is not much cheaper than others I have stayed in so there is no excuse. Another near tanah lot is about the same price and a 5 star experience...I don't know how this hotel gets away with it.
Only good thing is location. Excellent beach.

Nice Seaview restaurant and small but clean pool. Clean bungalows in nice garden. Small beach right outside the hotel

The sheets were stained with blood. The food left a lot to be desired. The breakfast is without doubt one of the worst hotel breakfasts you could possible have. They knock on your door att 08:00 to ask if they could clean the room now? They haven't left much room to get worse that's for sure

The Anom has an amazing vibe about it, the rooms are lovely, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant serves some great food at good prices. One week is personally not enough and we will definitely be coming back for any of the previously stated reasons. If the helpful staff and large array of services (laundry, massage, snorkeling, diving, taxi, vehicle rental) weren't enough, the beach is perfect for relaxing or snorkeling and it's not far from the local town. Overall, the Anom is personally well worth it.

Okay let's be as honest as we can here because some of the reviews are somewhat indifferent to our stay the last couple of weeks so a review of two halves. We booked with Expedia and the photos on their website are very dated so don't be drawn in by the clean good looking place. The room we were offered and the next three were not fit for purpose and as for 'Superior' well they fell a long way short of good if that. However we took a free upgrade after complaining about the cleanliness of the rooms and were offered Bungalow 10 which we snapped up !! You get FREE air conditioning in all the rooms but with the bungalows you also get a ceiling fan inside the room (and outside on the porch only in Bungalow 10 though) .. The FREE WIFI as listed is none existant unless you stand next to the router in reception or a weak reception available in the restaurant. So tip 1. Only take a bungalow avoid the rooms .. The food we ate breakfast there but that was all as there are far better restaurants around locally for example Amarta Restaurant (Next door) , Warung La Putu just at the top of the road or the best restaurant is LaRouge on the Candidasa road 10/10 for that place.
The grounds were well maintained and kept clean the staff do work very hard and are very polite always wearing a smile. The hotel is situated just off the beaten track with an excellent sea view and great little beach area and the water is awesome so clean and clear.
So would we go back ... well we have booked Bali for next year but are going next door to the Amarta so that still gives you the traditional area of Bali , access to the same beach area just more of a 5 star and was better priced as we ate there a lot we got offered a discount we couldn't refuse.
Places to see. Luwak coffee and Honey Bee farm just round the corner from Tenganan Village one of the oldest villages in Bali. Mt Agung and Putung Mt looking down and of course a must see is the floating Water Palace and water gardens as well as taking in the Temples .. A trip out in a boat is a must too ...
Overall situated in a great place , more of a 2-3 star , ignore the word Superior when it describes the rooms and just take the place for what it is .. oh and take a mosquito net and spray and don't worry about waking up with Geckos in your room they are cute and harmless ;)

Best place when you're looking for some quite time with nature. Also, they have very good massage services by the pool.

The bungalows are clean and nice and the surroundings are peaceful and tranquil. The staff is friendly and the good ok. The sea in front of the hotel is a bit rough and you need to pay attention to the currents, but there is a very nice reef flat and seagrass meadow that can be seen at low tide.

Great place for a few days to a week, great & friendly staff, good and well priced restaurant although can be windy at times. also has beach access as well as the pool. approximately 2 km's from town but has a few other good restaurants close by. Overall good value for a short break.

I was booking a standard bungalow from traveloka app, but room picture have difference between traveloka and receptionist. They said traveloka room picture is type of apartment which is more expensive. They offering me additional fee if i want that room. I dont know this is misconception between traveloka and the owner, but it make customer dissapointed.
About their room, all old but clean, no tv good wifi, quiet, good food, nice pool.
This resort looks have private beach on picture, actually that beach is for public, we can reach that by path side the entry of resort, no direct path from inside.

Nice beach but super quite. If you want to be alone or you're a writer. Will be good. Room no TV no wifi. No town. Village area

Spent 5 days here in a bungalow. Quiet, peaceful, extremely romantic place. You will hear the ocean all the time, but not noisy. Almost white sand beach. Nice sea view restaurant, amazing chef, nice food. Some facilities are a bit old, but not dirty. It even adds value. Lots of other restaurants around as well as local shops. If you prefer quiet location to have atmospherics, lovely, Bali-style rest, with own beach, it is right place. Also it is in the middle of all Bali sightseeing you may be interesting in (i rented a car though, but receptionist is always ready to call taxi for you). For it's price, I do recommend it.

Such a beautiful hotel where we stayed for one night. The great pool and beach area is perfect for some vacation pictures to make the friends at home envious. The hotel room was pretty much ok for what we payed and the restaurant visit in the evening was quit an experience as well. The food was really expensive for Bali standards and it was very dark to eat closer to the beach.
Kaat Wijgaerden (29/07/2016 00:41)
Good location right on the beach. Nice swimming pool. Staff doesn't speak English very well causing lots of confusion. No curtains to cover the small top windows so room stays very bright since they leave on all the outside lights. Bed has cushions instead of a proper matras.
Jonas Petersen (04/07/2016 07:45)
Alright for the price.
Food in the restaurant was good for the price.
It is clear the maintenance of the rooms etc is not a top priority for the owners.
Sheets were stained, towels were pretty 'well-used'..
Wish I could rate higher because most of the staff were friendly.

Tolles Hotel. Super Zimmer mit eigenem Pool. Schöner Garten. Netter Service. Ruhiges Meer lädt zum Baden ein.
matthew anderson (02/05/2016 02:44)
Id love to give this a higher rating but the good staff cannot patch up the poor maintenance. Obviously the owner not interested.
The most expensive rooms are the worst. The Seaview. .. forget it. Avoid those. They are damp and wet and dont have aircon. The restaraunt is very average although hotel next door has a great one. Id just stay next door. Same price much better quality

A bit difficult to find, but worth it! Cosy bungalows near lovely small beach, restaurant with delicious indonesian food and really friendly staff. Pot with a hot black tea on a porch every day for free. Really peacefull place to stay.
