Do not stay on this street!
Where do I begin? Here - we left after one night. Canggu is a construction site!
Do not stay at this villa! It is a part of a construction site. Please see photos and videos (if they remain up)
Let’s begin with the state of the home because of the construction site. Dirty windows, blinds and dust everywhere. The chemicals used on the manchester was so overwhelming we would of rewashed if we had of stayed. The master bathroom was in a state of disrepair.
The pool was rather dirty too - dust from site.
Here’s the kicker - right outside our bedroom window the workers worked all night! They also live and work on the site and there showers were right outside all our bedrooms. (We refrain from putting this photo up, our 12 and 13 year old daughters saw enough though!). We own a construction company in the U.K. and are well aware of the dangers on site. This site (soon to be the Intercontinental 5 star) dwarfs the residence and towers over the villa and is right next door to the street leading to villa. Extremely dangerous for our toddler.
Now to the management. It’s managed by three people. TJ Jeffery is not the owner and does not have any say in the final decisions. After two days waiting for a decision we were offered a refund and then he/they tried to leverage us with new guests wanting to come in and stay. Such a wind up and a particular way in Canggu we have noticed. The odd thing is, we waited for a decision from TJ but he was ‘in the air’ flying but they could’ve gone to his Indi partner straight away. Stalling and wasting our time. I’m glad we made an executive decision to move. Apparently they are having to refund quite a few visits and I talked to the workers personally who informed me they work night and day and a video to prove it. It was so loud!
We moved to the Aston Canggu, same price, 100% better.
