We just had the worst experience in Bali at the Ray beach Inn, in Lovina.
NEVER, EVER, GO THERE !!!
This is what happened to us :
DAY 1 : when we arrived at the hostel we booked on the website Agoda, we noticed that there were bed bugs in our two rooms. And a lot of them ! We told it to our host. He wasn't surprised, at all. He proposed us to have other rooms. The hostel was so dirty (bedbugs, dust and dirt things everywhere, even at the reception !), that we decided to leave. They told us that they were sorry and that we would get the total refund of our booking the next morning with their boss.
DAY 2 : on the morning, we went at the Ray beach inn to proceed to the cancelation of our booking with the boss of the hostel, in order to get our refund. The receptionist informed us that the boss wasn't there, contrary to what they told us the day before. He was pretending not to understand very well English (whereas we spoke English the day before...). He finally asked us to come back during the afternoon because the boss was going to be there for sure. We let a note explaining everything with our booking number. We came back during the afternoon. There were excrements on the floor of the main entrance.
The receptionist confirmed us that the boss was here and that they were going to go for him. We waited quite a long time but no one was coming back. We had to look for the receptionist through the hotel. When we found him, he was gardening... He told us that the boss was sick... at that point we got angry because we had to leave Lovina. We told him that it was unacceptable. He called a fat muscled man to threat us. This man called us "assholes" and approaches us agressively, as if he was going to beat one of us. We had to leave, because there was no issue to this situation and because the customer service of Agoda was helping us.
Conclusion : don't go !!!
