Awesome food! We had Halong bay soft shell crab and prawn pomelo salad to start - flavours were just fantastic. Followed by whole deep fried gourami and beef cheek rendang - again, faultless! Generous portions. Very attentive waiters too. Good wine list and craft beers.

Funky, stylish Asian fusion restaurant with delicious food and great drinks. It isn't cheap (by Bali standards) but it's well worth splashing out.

Great food and great service. A team that knows its menu well and guides diners through their choices.
Stand outs were the pad Thai and the whole fried snapper. Cocktails were great.
Prices were high by Bali standards but top quality food, drinks and service.

Never fails to impress! Much better atmosphere than the one in HK probably also because of the size of this place. Service was good too.

Offers a great variety of Asian food with moderate price and taste. It is a fancy 2 storey building restaurant. Always pack over the weekend so reservation is recommended.

Please note: This one star had nothing to do with food or drinks, this review is purely for people wanting to visit because they have heard great things about it.
Two things, if you want to eat here you need to make a reservation. If you have kids make sure you add them to the reservation, they have no way of saying you need a high chair so if it's you and two kids say 4 people.
Secondly, they have a dress code. No singlets. Make sure you wear sleeves or a button up if you're male. If you do not they will give you a shirt to cover up.
They do have a bar area upstairs if you want to enjoy the food and drink however it isn't easy to enjoy a meal up there as the tables are small and it's set up more like a bar.
I have heard great things about the food, shame I couldn't experience it. The people at the entrance seemed confused and disorganized and there was no where on the outside to tell you meal service starts at 6.

Came here as if was highly recommended by a friend. I was truly impressed by the cocktails. But didn't think the same about the overpriced food menu as some of the things we ordered, i felt we were paying 60-70% just for presentation (which wasn't over the top either). After entrees and mains we were hoping the desserts would "wow" us. Sadly my partner's dessert tasted a bit off so we just shared mine. I looked online after we had been there and saw a menu that wasn't the same as we were given. Maybe their previous menu would have been outstanding. Overall, if you are happy to spend over $100 for 2 people, there are better places to eat in Seminyak.

We came without any reservations thus we got the seat upstairs at the bar/lounge area. The seating isnt suitable for dinner, but I guess it is OK since we didnt have any prior booking. Oh yeah, lounge area is smoking area, in case you want to know.
The ambient is gloomy and a bit dark, but still bearable.
Price is on premium side, but the portion is big. We ordered deep fried Thai style fish, it tasted good albeit slightly overcooked. The vegetable (green Asian was the name, I think) was splendidly made though.

A truly exceptional dining experience with each dish somehow improving on the last. Cool setting and excellent menu. Was hard to choose.
We weren't going to take photos but the wife loves brulee ans affogattos and these were a treat!

We came here as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The pork belly was so good my partner ordered a second helping. The Chef and all of the staff were amazing, we will definitely visit again on our next trip to Bali. Helpful hints - book before you go to avoid disappointment as this place is busy and very popular. Also for the men, no singlets allowed, but they do offer you a button up shirt should you need.

Came here by a recommendation by a colleague. Was disappointed in the soft shell crab handroll and flame torched beef (starters). The pork chives dumpling was nice but not to die for. The place is considered expensive for Bali’s standard. They have a dress code as well (no singlet for men). Service was good, but overall i would not return.

What disappointed us is not only they don't have baby chairs but when we walked in with our 2 year old, the first thing they do is reminding us not to let the kid run around. They said there are lots of hot food being served (like it's the only restaurant serving hot food in Bali, sigh). To us, it's like they don't want kids around.
But to be fair, the food was nice.

Great food (huge menu, you wouldn't get bored eating here 3 nights in a row) and delicious cocktails; they actually made my girlfriend an off the menu mocktail based on her preferences - awesome service and great taste too. The staff are not just very good at their job but super friendly and fun. Make this a must do if you're in this area.

Posh place, with a nice atmosphere. The food is delicious. Slightly expensive when compared to the average meal, but definitely worth a visit. Great for special occasions or dates or if you're just feeling fancy.

Flavours that will bowl you over. World class wait staff, an excellent variety of tables and lounges, incredible food and very good prices given the quality. Will make this restaurant a regular for sure. Amazing..

I have been to Mama San over 10 times now and they have never failed to surpass expectations (which I admit are high).
Yes, the prices are high for Bali (which I have read is a common complaint) but really, you get what you pay for. Quality, ambience and great service. $15 - $20AUS a dish is not unafaffordable I would have though.
A MUST DO for fantastic food. A culinary delight for sure.

Entrees were great. Main courses overpowering in spices . I love spicy food but it's all I could taste . Of course i can only comment on the 9 dishes we had. Desserts were also overpowering in spices . Service very friendly.
