Good place, nice view, good for sunset and refreshing. But quite dark in the night because no candles here, so i was difficult to eat my food. The food is very tasty, delicious. Will come back later😍

Been here twice and it’s a really nice spot to watch the sunset. The staff are so slow and food takes forever to come out. We ordered a chicken wrap and it’s so tiny for the price. To give you an idea it’s the diameter of an Australian 20 cent piece. Definitely better, cheaper and more valued places along the beach to eat.

Great location on the beach. Great view, funky music & colourful decor. Appealing! We arrived 8.50 & La Plancha opened at 9am. No problem to wait as we were the first customers. However, our breakfast arrived at 9.30am. Food was a tad ordinary. Poached eggs on soggy toast. This is better suited as a lunch or night restaurant.

What a location. Right on the beach walk where the sewage outlet runs, the smell is always present.
They run water constantly across the beach path to try to deal with the problem, unfortunately that simply doesn't work. We managed a quick sip of beer before getting out fast - couldnt handle the pong at all!
I wonder how they are even allowed to serve up food here?
If your sense of smell is functioning at all, and unless your hepatitis shots are up to date, avoid this joint at all costs.

Awesome vibes sitting out on the beanbag chairs on the beach! Drinks are slightly more pricey than what you may expect for Bali but worth the experience. You can also get a hookah with many flavour choices. The service was prompt and good.

An awesome place to watch the sunset, notable for its colorful umbrellas and bean bags. If you go during the day, it's a chilled place to watch the surfers, and at 3pm you can watch them start to set up all the umbrellas for the evening. The drinks are great, and the food is not too expensive.

Timo Hilsdorf (28/04/2018 07:46)
Very nice and cosy place directly on the beach. In the evening there are live bands playing. Compared to other restaurants nearby the band was very good. It is fantastic to sit here the whole evening listening to the music and the waves. The bean bag chairs are very comfortable and directly on the sand.

La Plancha is the place to head for a chilled out Bali sunset experience. Well priced drinks and a decent snacking menu are on offer, as well as a vibrant atmosphere partnered by great beats that don't overpower your conversations. Get here around 5ish to get a space and just enjoy the whole experience.

Cheap and delicious food. Life music. Perfect place to get cozy atmosphere in beach area.

Sameh Abdelhamid (08/04/2018 11:43)
Food and ambience is great. Little pricey when compared to local food, but still very reasonable. Lots more copy cat places either side so always lots of availability. We didn't book this time and we had a huge group (8ppl)

Kevin Van Der Hart (10/03/2018 10:13)
Food and scenery was amazing. But this cool experience does come at a tourist price so be prepared to spend a few 100.000 rupiah. Lovely place to enjoy the sunset!

Nita Sellya (08/02/2018 14:59)
My favorite by the beach bar with colorful cozy bean bags. Very quick service. Nice cocktails and choice of music.

Each person have to purchase at least 1 food and 1 drink, which is fine by me. Come here shortly before sunset, and enjoy it with a bottle of beer.

Christian Pedersen (24/01/2018 10:39)
We picked this place almost by accident and later discovered that this a popular place to watch the sunset. Lucky I guess. During the day there are a number of rows with sunbeds and bean bags but later in the afternoon, the staff sets up more small tables and bean bags towards the water. That means that if you want to sit in the front row, you have to move if you arrive early.
Food and drinks aren't overpriced and there's no fee to sit down as long as you buy a few drinks.
Inside there's a small bathroom.

Amazing place. Get good international community out there. Chill and sip beer with great cocktails. Food nice . Price reasonable.

Eva Suswanti (12/10/2017 11:41)
Cozy place. Good atmosphere. And delicious food. I tried baby back ribs. Fairy price and nice DJ music

Lukas (24/09/2017 10:57)
Food was good and prices were ok for a place located right on the beach. Good place for viewing sunset and having drinks. It's decorated with colorful lamps and looks amazing at night.

Samuel Roe (18/08/2017 02:46)
Great food. Great cocktails. Great atmosphere. Great service. Comfy beanbags. Hell of a view.
The only downer is the locals trying to sell you stuff.

Ronald Grootveld (07/08/2017 10:26)
Great spot to have a drink or have some dinner. They have lovely Tapas and Burgers! Take a seat on one of the big bags and just relax, enjoy the view en the music.

Michael Valentino Damanik (16/07/2017 04:41)
The place is cozy and good music vibe. The service is good. We ordered the grilled prawns, it was very delicious, but we need to request a tartar sauce as it wasn't served with the prawn. Various kind of drinks (alcohol and non alcohol). I ordered La Planca's specialty, but it was too bitter for me. But all in all it is a recommended place for hangout and drink.

Liza Peeters (28/06/2017 00:14)
Great place to watch the sun set and relax. The beach vendors can get a little bothersome. Good food and drinks. Highly recommend the baby squid and the chicken croquettes! Staff are friendly and gave good service. They only have 2 toilets, so there can be a bit of a wait.

The only restaurant I've been to that requires minimum orders for you to sit down. Waiters seem to time the number of hours you stay in this place. One of the waiters was very very rude and even told me and my friend "Want stay more? Then order more." We understand the policy of the restaurant and how they would like to cater the most customers, however we felt that we were disrespected by the waiter's approach. Moreover, there were so many vacant bean bags around us. Why ask us to leave? Will never go back to this place. Worst experience in my whole Bali trip.

Sarah G (08/06/2017 13:30)
Great vibe and atmosphere. They took a little long to bring out the food but other than that it was a great night out.

Hazel Nadine (07/06/2017 02:51)
Firstly, we were told that there was a minimum order for each of us: one food and one drink. I don't know whether it was prejudice or their way to treat people when it was crowded, because I saw foreigners ordering beer only while sitting on the beanbags. Not that I am against foreigners and all, but there might be something in them treating us differently. Just because we are locals, young, and looking like we don't spend much money, it's not like we can't pay. Moreover, it's not like La Plancha's tables near the bean bags can fit five main courses and five drinks, anyway.
Secondly, they somehow didn't give the right amount of change. I don't know whether it was intentional or not, but surely not checking your customer's bill to see whether you've given them the right amount is silly, even if it's only a small amount of money. Honesty matters. I was pissed off because I thought they did it intentionally and probably thought they could get away with it. No way am I going to let that slide. The atmosphere and view was great but certainly not their attitude towards us, meh.

The food was good however the drinks were not and the service was terrible. We waited 45 mins for 2 frozen margaritas meanwhile the table next us had two rounds of frozen margaritas and ours still hadn't arrive. We told the woman who appeared to be the manager, twice that we hadn't gotten our drinks. We finally got them and they weren't worth the wait. We had high hopes for this place. Sadly they weren't met.

Khatleen Minerve (09/04/2017 06:53)
Love this place for the fabulous food, but even more for the absolutely great selection of music (the real deal from the 90's and onwards) put on by the DJ! It's such a great place to dine and chill. It's on top of that such a beautiful and colourful setting. I recommend it heartily.

Chris C (23/03/2017 04:02)
Pros: on beach, good margaritas and the ceviche is delicious
Cons: does not look like picture. More run down. Warm beer. Bad service. All the workers sit at bar talking. I had to get them to come over and I felt like I was intruding. Bathrooms are dark and nasty.

Great place, great vibe, great music, great menu, tasty food!
Not the place to bring kids, too fancy menu with picky kids...
Went there for late lunch, and after finishing we asked for the bill to be transferred to the beanbag beach area. They told us we had to order a minimum of 1 another meal and drink per person if we wanted to use them! No understanding of that we had just eaten! We were expecting more people to join us but decided to go to the place next door instead with no restrictions. We had more food and plenty of drinksat at the new place.. They could have worded things differently and we would have stayed.

Ashish Kaura (02/03/2017 05:00)
Nice place. The drinks were good but the food only average. Also the staff wasn't exactly able to understand our order and missed out on one item.

Ni Gusti Ayu Nanditha (23/02/2017 23:26)
As a local who's been away from home, I've heard so much of this place and was very excited to try it out. Food and beverages were average and food is a bit on the pricey side, which is normal for the area. It's the ambience that you pay for - colourful fabric umbrellas and colourful bean bags on a clean sandy beach! There are similar establishments on the beach. I actually prefer to go to another establishment, as I found that La Plancha's staff members are a bit rude.

There's a minimum order of IDR 100K per person, which isn't exactly bad (it could get you 3 non-alcoholic drinks /juices). Unfortunately, when we went, this rule was not communicated to us until we were about to pay!! I protested as to why we were not informed about this minimum order beforehand as it should have been when such rules apply. In this particular case, we did not plan to stay for long as we needed to leave asap (we didn't stay until sundown) and would have looked for an alternative had we known. Long story short a more senior staff member came. To my question "Why weren't we told about this ?", he rudely replied "I'm telling you now!". My friends and I were annoyed. No apology for the miscommunication whatsoever, and we needed to frantically order more drinks before we had to leave for our dance show.

Without the rudeness, it would have been just a lovely afternoon.

This place is terrible. Avoid if you want a night well spent. I arrived there at 22.30 way after rush hour or dinner time. Ordered a cocktail. Just as i had a few sips I started receiving visits to my table every other minute by 3 different servers, saying "is this it??" "Are you not gonna order something to eat or drink?" Seeing the newly ordered drink on my table! Annoyed by the frequency and style of this interrogation, I asked for the check and left this place without drinking three quarters of my drink. On my way out, i rightfully complained to the so-called head of this disrespectful team, and received the answer "this is a restaurant, you have to eat and it is our job to ask you"!!!. He should know that his job is to make his guests feel welcome and relaxed, not annoy them away. Their coctail was one of the worst i've ever had by the way, tasteless and worse than ordinary. Go spend your valuable time and money somewhere else. There are a lot of beach bars in the neighborhood.

Few time i go to here and i never get bored. Have a beer ans food when waiting sunset till have dinner time its good. For hangout with friend or your partner good romantic place too.

Jose March-Leuba (19/01/2017 00:15)
Good place, but frankly overcrowded and noisy. More for a younger crowd. There are better selections along the beach for grown ups

Ivo Van t geloof (03/01/2017 21:29)
food and drinks are good. Excellent place to have a drink later on the evening. Celebrated the best NYE over there!

Willy Wibowo (23/11/2016 11:09)
It's a recommended to me by a local guide. Perfect place for sunset.
BUT. You have to be very early to get here before running out of seat. Foods and beverages are mostly alcoholic and contain pork . Only a few menus with non alcohol drinks and non pork meat. So crowded at sunset time, very less information for those who first timer here.
Basically, you just have to find seats first which quite hard, and waited for waiters to come and take your orders.
Good for foreign tourist, bad for local tourist.

The view, the ambience, the crowd was great. Colorful bean bags and umbrellas. Cute place to spend time with friends or your loved ones or your family. You can ask the waiters to keep you stuff safe while you're playing on the beach. I recommend you to choose the nearest spot to the beach, so you can get the best view without any umbrellas or heads blocking your eyesight. To get the bean bag spot, there's a minimum payment. Mine is i have to order food and drink. Dunno if it's always been like this or not. About the spot, you can not move to other spot when you're already order food&drink. If you want to move to another spot, you need to pay the previous order and order another food&drink for your new spot. Food? A lil bit pricey and so-so. Also, Please be aware with the weather. This place is a mess when it's raining
