Avoid! Try to go elsewhere. Extremely questionable place. Gave us a wrong diagnosis, mixed my daughter up with another patient (even admitted it), unfriendly doctor, etc.

Probably good for scooter injuries, intoxication sequelae and Bali belly, but criminal with anything else. I should have trusted my instincts and sought care elsewhere for my son.

AVOID!!!. Dr Sissy is a qualified butcher. I went for fillers and she injected it incorrectly. It will cost me thousands to fix back home. When I asked for a refund, her staff threatened me and said they would release my private medical records on the internet

Just do it back home when you do not get threats made against you and get a professional job done

Well I would prefer if I didn't have to but if one must...The hospital was very good. Quick and attentive staff. Competent doctor. Quite pricy considering the location.

I am changing my review from 1 star to 3, as I went back a day later when my condition worsened and was seen by a different doctor who was extremely attentive and did a thorough exam. I still had to pay a follow up fee, but was minimal in comparison to the initial visit.

While on vacation in Bali, I awoke with a rash on my back, neck and hands. This occurred on a Sunday, so the price was significantly higher than it would have been on a weekend. When I was brought back to see a doctor she was basically useless, as she did not examine me. She did not even ask me to take my shirt off so that she could see the rash. Did not look in my throat, or even stand up from behind her desk. She just sat in her chair and in told me so take a steroid. Without determining the kind of rash, if it is a contact reaction, reaction to a bite, or if it has to do with a larger issue. Total waste of time and money, do yourself a favor and go to the actual public hospital, Sanglah, rather than this money trap.

My travel partner spent 12 nights here and had shoulder surgery after a fall. The staff from cleaners through to surgeon and reception were amazing. Always there to help and the care given to my travel partner was first class all the way. We can't thank you enough for your care.

I had to wait quite a lot. They took some sample to investigate in the lab and they told me that they will provide me the results by e-mail and also that they will give me the treatment advice by e-mail. They did not send anything and even that I asked them through e-mail to send me the results - I did not get an answer from them at all.
Overall I can say that they are not professional and they are quite expensive. I think that as an emergency, it could be the best alternative on the island but otherwise - if it can wait ... go elsewhere.

Did not get the help I needed, admitted myself to another hospital (kasih ibu hospital) and they gave me antibiotics, intravenous and everything I needed. The blood test I took at BIMC was 5 hours late...

I recommend avoiding BIMC at all costs.

Quite simply, this company does not provide a service that is commensurate to the costs associated, and their complete lack of tact when demanding payment (during an emergency situation) is nothing short of disgusting.

The one positive of the experience was the emergency care nurses, who were of a professional standard, and facilities were clean and generally well-maintained.

However, at $1000 / night for a hospital bed, the quality of service beyond the ER is simply not in line with the fees charged.

To be clear: I have no complaints regarding my requirement to pay for medical care, and do not expect "cheap" care, however for the rates charged here, the quality of service is just not up to standard.

(For the record, we do have insurance, however the company was delaying payment, and thus we were required to pay out-of-pocket and claim later. This does not excuse the lack of service).

The general care nurses seem incapable of using common-sense and have to be specifically asked for everything.
(this does not instill confidence as a patient)

Food is of a very average standard, very bland and basic with minimal portions.

Wifi is very unreliable and drops out hourly, requiring sign-in each time.

I was told that despite the $1000/night fee for a room, my wife was required to "check out" by 10am, despite being admitted around 1700pm. In other words, your $1000 doesn't even get you a full 24hrs in a room.

The general impression here is the only thing that matters is the cash-flow (which would be fine, if the service matched the price tag) with the business presenting a high-quality facade, which quickly deteriorates into a very average service beyond that, along with tactless and frankly incessant demands for payment on a daily basis.
(despite being provided with credit card information upon admission)

In summary, I strongly recommend avoiding BIMC, and attending a more client-oriented medical facility if at all possible.

This hospital is phenomenal. Had an accident late at night requiring serious cleaning and stitches on my face-they were very professional, communicated extremely well (everyone spoke English) and performed every procedure by the book. I feel very lucky a hospital of this caliber was available to treat me in a foreign country

Nizzy (21/07/2017 14:20)
Very good service, standard price for medicine if not relatively cheap. Really recommend for English speaking travellers. very clean and friendly. Honestly the best hospital I've experienced abroad

My 3 year old dropped a cup on her toe and split it open. We filled in the paper work at the front desk. Waited less than 5 minutes to be moved to a room with a nurse and doctor. The doctor explained everything with good English and was easy to understand. We waited another 20 mins to get the final report and prescription. We used the pharmacy at the hospital to get the medication, which was paid for in the hospital on the bill.
I would highly recommend this hospital. Service was fast. Could not fault them at all. Hospital was clean.
AND THE COFFEE AND WATER IS FREE TOO. THE COFFEE GETS 5 stars from me 😍

I got conjunctivitis on both my eyes, so I went there at 6am. No queues, professional, friendly and helpful staff and great treatment. The hospital looks very good and clean and it was recommended by my emergency number back in Denmark.
The only problem is that except the already expensive fee for a consult: 950k before 8am and 750k after 8am, the pills from their own pharmacy are more than double priced. (I found the same pills and drops for much less in a regular pharmacy)
I assume people take it from there for the insurance, since it's easy to have everything on one bill, but just be aware of this... it felt like I was so cheated. I did understand that this happens in all the other hospitals and clinics in Bali...

Nice clean place with friendly doctors.
Helped me with minor injury.
Very tasteful free latte inside :)

The hospital and its procedures are like a clinic in the US with friendly staff and everyone speaks very good English. I thought I had a good experience there but in retrospect some things feel wrong. I would just like to lay all cards on the table since I cannot make a good judgement myself.

Went to the hospital yesterday because I had serious diarrhea and stomach pain. The doctor said he needed three stool tests to rule out parasites before they can start on antibiotics, and prescribed nexium, probiotics and electrolytes. I had at least 15 times of diarrhea by evening and was having a fever so I returned.

Another doctor told me they still need to rule out parasites, ordered a second test but still no antibiotics, and asked if I want to be hospitalized. When I said I prefer not to stay unless it is necessary, she prescribed an IV injection which she didn't explain to me. Learned from the nurse that the shots are for reducing fever, nausea, and...nexium! I told the nurse I was already taking nexium orally, and she confirmed with the doctor that I'd still have the nexium injection, which is more expensive than the pills and the other two shots (btw I have told the doctor that my stomach pain improved after taking nexium pill)

After a very rough night, I called this morning to learn about the test results, and asked whether I can finally get antibiotics if I came back for a third test and it still turned out negative, because I was slightly better than yesterday but still pretty serious. The third doctor said again that if I did not feel good I can stay in the hospital. This is when I finally feel that they seem too eager to put me in there.

I read the other reviews and did some research. On top of everything, I am really wondering whether taking antibiotics would affect the diagnosis or treatment of parasites. If not, they really should give it to me by second visit.

So I rested at the hotel instead of running in for the final test, and somehow I'm feeling better all by myself after a lot of (unnecessary?) pain. I'd really like to know if what they did is appropriate since I love surfing and would like to come back again, but I would be very hesitant without a reliable hospital :/

Was very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of staff.

Just to inform you all of my TERRIBLE experience I received at the BMIC Hospital in Kuta. Firstly when going in I asked Dianne, the only western worker there how much a consultation and X-ray would be. Dianne informed me that the consultation would be 825,000 rph and the X-ray would be between $40-50.

After being taken into A&E, having 3 X-rays taken and been given anti inflammatory cream and a wrap for my foot I was slapped with a bill which was 3 times what I was quoted.

The service in A&E was more pain than relief when the nurse attempted to dress my open wound by mistakenly putting plastic adhesive directly on the open wound and then having to ripping it off causing my wound to actually get worse and causing me extra pain for his incompetence in his job.

I was not told about the extra cost for the each X-rays and also a tube of cream was 300,000 rph alone.

Furthermore apparently as it was a public holiday I was charged an extra 250,000 rph for the 'doctors consulation' as it was out of hours, again I wasn't told this when walking in.

To top everything off I asked Dianne what her role was at the hospital and she responded with 'I work here' with no clarity of position or authority. Very shady and I would recommend you find elsewhere!

The issue was not the price as I had insurance anyway, it was the lack of communication and being lied to at the start which made this a horrendous experience.

Total cost for an X-ray equated to: 2,100,000 rph!

This is NOT a good hospital! Yes it is clean and the nurses are really great (for that I give the one star) but everything else is really bad. I went there with a bad slipped disc and dengue fieber. My insurance needed some time to send a letter of payment to an indonesian partnern, who had to send it to the hospital and they wanted to send me home until the payment was accepted. I was really weak and couldn´t walk...than finally everything was clear with my insurance, I stayed there for 10 days until my insurance got me out there and in this time I saw every day another doctor, who try to push me to make surgery!!!! It was a lot of pressure and they didn´t really accepted my NO to surgery! They wanted to have the money for a surgery....In Germany they told me that the treatment (not moving for 10 days, only painkiller, surgery) is old-fashion and normal 20 years ago. Even a surgery could have been really dangerous because of the dangue. SOOOO people, I DON`T recommand the hospital!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zach Clenaghan (23/05/2016 12:17)
Okay this place is very expensive (think European prices), but in my opinion the service is excellent. I felt extremely comfortable during my stay here. The hospital is very clean, nurses are available within seconds should you need assistance. I had surgery here and felt at ease before, during, and after. If I had a serious issue again I wouldn't hesitate.

Vanessa Fänger (07/04/2016 18:02)
Was there for 4 days and nights because of dengue fever. Spoke every day to a doctor and a specialist. The nurses are so sweet. Everybody was very friendly. Everything was explained to me. Whenever I was feeling so damn thick, I feel good at this hospital!!!! Thank u for taking good care of me!

MONEY MACHINE! It would be okay when problems after visiting are successfully resolved, but after checking simple things like pulse to recommend a extern internist or tropical doctor, of course to pay again, is a SHAME !

I am balinese, i went there 10 minutes ago. This hospital is NOT PROVIDING A GOOD SERVICE. The fact that i need to fill a form instead of taking care of my wound. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE. THIS IS REALLY BAD HOSPITAL.
