I'm a Bali resident and Bali Jeep is doing my VW's metal up restoration, they're doing a meticulous job with that and have kept me updated throughout the entire process of restoration. I'm massively pleased with their attention to detail and passion to do it perfectly.
During the time my car's being restored, I periodically rent Bali Jeep's incredible VW Safari, it was the reason I went with them for restoration. This bright orange "Thing" is a crowd stopper and people love it! It's fun and easy to drive and the best way to explore Bali's back roads. These cars are labors of love and while the resto work is spot on, there's always a chance something can go amiss, that's part of the adventure and why I wouldn't have it any other way. Enjoy the ride.

My son (7.5yrs) chose the Big Boss for a three day rental and absolutely loved every moment we were in it. We got so many compliments from friends/family and strangers on Bali Streets.
The Jeep was tastefully done. It drove well and sounded great.
If you are a True Jeep lover and its a "JeepThing" for you, you will not be disappointed, with their service and their Jeeps.
If you are expecting a modern/luxurious/electronic pseudo pretentious vehicle, then look somewhere else. These are supposed to be Jeeps, kinda like horses, sometimes have a mind of their own, so we need to take some time to get adjusted and have to live with if a bulb goes out or a side mirror wobbles- "It's a JeepThing You need to understand" :-)
About the service, it is exceptional. Their communication and the way Tony runs their rental business is amazing. Everything is straight forward, clean, without any confusion and hidden charges.
I read a few negative reviews/feelings, and I went in expecting issues, but I was wrong, their service is first class and fabulous.
Yes, you many not have an air conditioned lounge and may need to sign paperwork on their work tables, unlike an Avis or a Hertz, but I felt that added to a nice feeling of renting an off-roader.
The rental came with a surprise, their awesome T-shirts, one for my son and another for me.
When we didn't have enough fun for two days as originally rented, and asked about extending for another day, they were very helpful to check the availability and send their person to our Villa to renew the contract. And Dede showed up with a larger T-Shirt as the first one did not fit me.
We were supposed to return the vehicle to their garage as per the contract , but when asked if they could pick it up from the Villa so we could save time, they were more than willing, for a small extra charge.
And then again we changed our mind, and asked if we could leave it at the airport, so my son could have another hour riding in it, they were ready to accommodate and came to pick up before time, so we do not get held up at the airport waiting. They never failed with our requests, their clear communication and great service.
If you need a nice Jeep to have a little fun while in Bali, be sure to check them out. You will not be disappointed.
We will surely go back there and rent one longer this time, to tour the Island, when Mount Agung is calm, as the memories you'll keep are priceless.
Tony and your team, keep up your great work!!
We'll see you again soon. :-)

Just drove around Bali for a week in one of Bali Jeeps 4x4. From booking until we dropped it off. I love their work. Made it such a good holiday!
The 4x4 was great to drive, handled all conditions and never missed a beat. Much better than getting taxis and seeing the sites

I bought a 1980 CJ7 mid 2016. Balijeep stripped, completed full overhaul/service & repair, then rebuilt and later customized to meet my requirements/specification. Great professional job by Tony and all his crew at Balijeep who went the extra mile to ensure everything was in order. Highly recommended. My CJ7 is now performing well and looking great! Thank you Balijeep.

Easy to book the Jeep on their website and the service is like you expect from western company standard. Equip with GPS tracking so no matter where you are or what trouble you are into, they will find you and help you. Very recommended.

Hired a 1984 4X4 Black Betty Jeep from these guys to do a road trip around the entire island of Bali.
In the first few days the jeep seemed ok but by the third day the Jeep's night lights stopped working completely. Luckily we managed to reach our hotel before sunset otherwise we would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere as it would have been way to dangerous to drive without our night light beamers. The next morning we discovered the light cables had disconnected as they were so old. We managed to reconnect them.
By the last day of our road trip on our way back to Denpasar to return the Jeep we stopped to refuel at a gas station. After refueling the Jeep the engine failed to switch on again and after several attempts we could no longer get the vehicle to turn on again.
After calling the emergency number on BaliJeep's website we spoke to a man by the name of "Tony Sampano". We sent him videos and photos of the Jeep showing its current state and that we could no longer switch on the engine let alone drive the Jeep back to Denpasar. We asked him to help send someone to repair the car so we could drive it back and return it back to the rental shop.
Tony after watching the videos of the engine failing and seeing the dire situation we were in became verbally abusive and refused to believe that the 1984 Jeep had stopped working after our 2 week long trip. After hanging up on us several times and refusing to answer his phone or sms he finally replied after 2 hours leaving us stranded in the middle of nowhere.
Tony said that it was our fault that the Jeep had stopped working and that he would charge us for the mechanic to come out and fix the car. He also said we had to pay a late fee to return the car as we returned the Jeep late. The reason we couldn't return the Jeep on time was that it had broken down.
We were forced to pay him as we were stranded in the middle of nowhere
He could have handled the situation much better and the fact he had become verbally abusive to us customers after hiring his car for two weeks you'd expect better service if he wants to retain his customers.
Here is a warning to all those thinking about doing a road trip in bali, Avoid "Bali Jeep "and Tony's worst customer service at all costs!!!. You may end up with a car that suddenly stops working in the middle of nowhere then get charged to have it fixed at your own expense.
Have informed all my friends and colleagues (we work in the travel industry) about the horrible experience. Hope we can pass the word out about this guy so you don't have to go through what we went through.
Buyers beware... You have already been warned.

This is my first review ever thanks to my experience with balijeep, I decided it had to be written.
I picked up a yellow jeep yesterday, and had no issues going through the process. I've been told that
the fuel tank is filled up in 50% and I should disregard the fuel gauge indicating no fuel.
After 3 km of driving I pulled over at the nearest
petrol station and filled up the tank. I actually put 34 L (full tank should be 42L) so nevertheless I assumed that I must've "used" 13L in my first 3 km route ;) and btw the fuel gauge indicated full tank after the refuelling.
After 3 hrs of driving and a few stops, traveling around 80km a starter failed, so I had to push it, use terrain as my advantage or ask locals for help.
Well, things like that happens especially with 30 years old jeeps so no surprise here ;)
Together with the lost starter my confidence in the jeep disappeared as well. After calling the contact number from their website the owner didn't really want to talk to me, or even listen to what I had to say about the car, instead of that in a very rude manner I've put through to his employee with poor English.
From what I was able to understand and with help of my girlfriend that actually speaks Indonesian I've been ask to return the car to their office. It took about 2 hrs of driving and keeping in mind to not let that "professionally" maintained 30 years old car to stall.
After our arrival to the depot the owner's attitude was not acceptable, we haven't been welcomed, instead I've been asked to park the car outside of the property. The owner again ignored us completely and we could only see him drinking beer behind the gate. In the meantime dealing with his staff was very difficult and after 10 min when I actually called him to respond he came up to me with very unpleasant attitude.
When I was trying to explain the problem with the car his response was full of excuses, that the car is fine and dealing with his staff should be easy having an Indonesian speaking girlfriend. Eventually I have asked him for the refund. From what I know could have been made on the spot using the same EFT terminal I paid for the rental but no, his another excuse was that he needs to call the credit card company... I'm looking forward to it.
As a summary of my experience with balijeep I can say, very poor customer service, apart from a faulty starter, broken tail light, useless wipers and loose steering the rest was just as expect from a poorly maintained very old Jeep. Regarding the price, almost $100 US for 1 day rental is way too much.
I'm really curious the owner's response...

forget, they only booking on website, you don't see the jeep, not professional, English but work from non-European.
