Booked a bus to Amed. After the bus was late for 45 min even though it supposedly has been "already close" all the time I got a bad feeling and asked for a refund, which was denied. Just as I was about to walk away without the refund, the bus arrived. It was hot (no AC) and crowded and passengers were already unhappy because they had been driven around Ubud with no apparent progress. When we were about to pick up another passenger (don't know were he was supposed to sit, as there was no obvious seat available) I left.
Still two stars for the possibility that I would have actually arrived at my destination at one point, but I'm sure it would have been a very unpleasant journey. I'm sure that I made the right decision.
While waiting for the bus I had time to check out the scooters and bikes they offered to rent and both seemed not well maintained. One of the scooters had no tire tread left on the front wheel.
So overall bad service, bad communication and really not recommended. Better book through your hotel or a more trustworthy and reliable agency like Perama.
