Absolutely loved this place. Had a beach front suite and which has a small section of pool roped off for your exlusive use. Excellent surf location where you walk straight out to world class breaks. The food here was also very noteworthy. The menu is expansive and quite good. Additionally a large selection of healthy options are on offer. Rooms are very stylishly designed and well appointed. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted the best of Bali but away from the crowds. I will definitely come back here. 10/10.

Komune is an absolutely beautiful hotel and beach club. It is in a great location and has fantastic facilities.
My family and I have visited the restaurant for dinner for the last two nights. Last night an extra item was mistakenly added to our bill. We were understandable of this seemly innocent error as it was quite busy and it was quickly rectified. However, we were surprised and disappointed when this not only happened again when we received our bill tonight but were then asked for more money after not only paying our total but also including a small tip (on top of the already ++) . We have had otherwise positive experiences at Komune but are unfortunately having serious second thoughts about visiting again if this is what is to be expected from the service team.

Nice little surprise at the beach. Clean and modern rooms, with warm water and everything operating as they should be. Nice personel serving great food and making sure you are comfortable. Although we only stayed for one night, its on the more expensive side of the spectrum. That's why I give it 4 stars. If we extended our stay we could get some discount.

Fantastic place, would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Food is amazing, great pool too. We came here for a wedding and it's a perfect place for 50-60 people. Happy hour everyday 4-5 241 cocktails!

Fancy place but the menu quite cheap. Even a bottle of wine you can have about 400k. The beach club was amazing, fancy pool and seat. Nice view keramas beach with the black sands. Is good to have a long time sit and relax. Recommended place.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Komune with a great view over the beach. The food and service is definitely more expensive than in surrounding places and even around Indonesia. But it is served very pleasing to the eye. The taste was okay but definitely not the best. The portions were relatively small for the money paid. The location and the beautiful venue made up for some of it, but not all.

Beautiful hotel right on the a black sand beach which is good for surfing, not so much for more relaxed beach activities as there are a lot of rocks.
Hotel is in a vast garden area, so it's very quite. There's not much else around except some other beach hotels an bars. Perfect for a getaway or surf trip!

First time to Bali, and this place was mostly ok. My room which was one with the pool out the front had my neighbours in it going between them and their friends which was super annoying. Or the neighbours were so loud, having their friends over drinking, I couldn't enjoy the outside area.
One of my towels had a big brown stain all over it. Shower head needed a clean, it was sprouting out in every direction.
Staff were lovely though, food was good.

Visited this place to do a few yoga lessons with Lisa their in house yoga instructor - she was amazing and teaches all skill levels (my partner & I are beginners) She was so encouraging and fun and friendly. I highly recommend doing a few classes with her if your staying at Komune or drop in just to do yoga as we did. We had dinner afterwards at the beachfront restaurant/bar that had a great view and a fun upbeat vibe.

Truly beautiful resort right on the beach with the sweetest staff imaginable. My only gripe was with the bland mixed drinks. The location itself is 10/10, i just enjoy a proper margarita at the poolside. The massages were also life changing, I can't recommend them enough

We enjoyed a wonderful wedding at Komune for our niece. It was a magical day for the bride and groom and all our family and friends. The resort staff were all very friendly and helpful. A big thankyou to Yogi who looked after our room and made us feel very welcome.

Shiny dark sand will emerge in your feet. Beautiful place to enjoy sunset. They also have good selection of foods.

The staff is terrific... super friendly and very patient. The food is varied and welcoming to a Canadian. Both local options and dishes we might see in a Cactus Club or a place like that. Initially I gave low points to the car service offered... I was wrong. The car service is very reliable and the drivers are great. I recommend this resort with top marks.

The views from this location are great. Prices are competitive for local hotels but higher than just a local restaurant. Regardless, the service is good and the restaurant provides a wide variety of local and international food options. Have returned several times and have always had a good time.

While there are not so many hotel located around Gianyar, Komune is all about good leisure and relaxing place in the quiet Gianyar's beaches. The beaches around Gianyar also famous for surfing, while it is located far from the surfing paradise area (Uluwatu). You can book for night surf, with extra cost to the reception. Hotel rooms are awesome, with beach view. It also has a nice beach club, sadly you need to spend minimum amount to sit around the beach club.

Classy hotel/resort for the well off surfers. Really nice pool area overlooking the sea and a large restaurant and bar area also overlooking the sea. Staff are friendly. Prices about what you'd expect in a smart beachside place with decent food. Recommended for a nice out.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at Komune. The food was healthy and really reasonably priced compared to most resorts. The wifi wasn't great and kept dropping out which was frustrating for my husband who was also doing work while we were away, but most people go to surf or do yoga and not work while there. Don't go to Komune if you want a resort where you can walk out on to the road to a local massage place or coffee shop; stay there if you want access to yoga, an awesome gym, healthy eats, beautiful views and great service. Oh and the surf 👌👌👌

To be honest, I have never stayed here, but have visited it often and hung out in the pool with my girlfriend and have also eaten here. In fact I proposed to her on the beach out front and had a wonderful dinner with our friends afterward. the food was excellent as always and the sevice top rate.
I wasn't crazy about the place setting up right in front of on e of the best right-handers in Bali because now getting waves here is really difficult with all the travelers, but they really do things right here. You feel both connected to Bali, but also have all the comforts of home. From the food to the archetecture to the service, it's all good.

I've only been to the restaurant and have never stayed at the hotel. Views are amazing; you can hear the waves crashing and even step on the black sand beach to have a pleasant stroll. Food is delicious! I'd recommend anything with fish. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very welcoming. The restaurant is a two minute walk from the car park on a sandy trail taking shade under thick leaves. A spectacular place to eat and enjoy the beauty of the ocean.

We've been coming back to this place every now and then for years, since they newly opened. It's a nice and cozy beach club with none of that Seminyak bs.

The beach and place is gorgeous, but Komune has higher prices for food and drink than are necessary. Walk down the beautiful black beach for two minutes and eat/drink at the surfing shack. A much better deal. But comune does have a nice pool pretty much on the beach. It is also the closest beach to Ubud.

Beach Surfer Chic, rooms a little compact and a good walk from beach club. Food was awesome but similar prices to home so a little exxy for Bali. Health hub is a nice addition, staff were really well trained and really took pride in their work, we loved the vibe here so much we extended our stay, good for families or couples as there is an adults only pool area. There is a sep pool area at the beach club for all to use. Hotel guests can reserve their fave daybed by the pool. We really didnt want to leave. Also 2 mins away from safari park.

Komune is awesome. Cant recommend it more. We were a group of 4 aussies staying for 5 nights and would've happily extended!
Pros:
- great surf and night surfing
- beach club bar had an awesome view, good tunes, and great food at a reasonable price
- clean rooms with great room service
- adult pool and health hub with great gym and yoga
- great little mini mart just outside of the resort with even cheaper food and water
- staff were excellent (I'd give them 6 stars)
Cons:
- the rooms aren't very sound proof. Can hear neighboring children crying and we must've had smokers next door because we frequently got the smell of smoke in our room.
- I'm clutching here, there wasnt much nightlife for us younger peeps.
Overall excellent.

This place is simply awesome. The pictures just can't capture just how crisp and clean the vibe is here. It may be renowned for the surfing, but the yoga studio and lap pool are as good as it gets. And the food is exemplary. As are the staff - who clearly enjoy working here. And our kids had a ball.

Before arriving at Komune resort we thought we knew what to expect, yet we were amazed by the beauty and serenity of this place. We were welcomed by the friendliest staff and they did everything to make sure we'd be comfortable. We had some lunch in de the Health Hub which was amazing. Their menu offers a very wide range of healthy dishes.
The rooms are beautiful and original. Even the gym was perfect. It simply has everything you need: all the (new!) equipment, music, airco and water. Imagine waking up in a serene resort like this and then being able to work your body with battle ropes, kettle bells, rings, dumbbells and some of the best machines before you jump in the pool or relax all day long.
Wayne, the GM, is the friendliest guy (with a good taste for motorcycles). We were allowed to check out later to enjoy the resort to the max before leaving for our flight back home.
If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, surf, do some yoga, get a massage (they are the BEST!) and enjoy good food and drinks: Komune is the place to go. It's worth every single penny!

Komune Bali at Keramas Beach does NOT have Dolphins in our resort pool. We are surfers and love Dolphins and share the ocean with them. We would never harm dolphins in any way. Over the past five years Komune have financially supported both Surfers for Cetaceans and Sea Shepherd and run charity events for both organisations at Komune Gold Coast. Komune Bali is proud of its environmental credentials and is a green resort. We do not have any Dolphins in our pool.
