Though the location is hidden, we stayed for 6 days and it was great for us to experience living close with the locals. The owners offers programs such as biking, cooking class and also help kids in their community with english.

The owners were very nice and it was a great stay, however, they kept offering us food - lunch- and water with their customers who came back from biking which we didnt know that we had to pay for it. My sister and I were in a budget and we were happy that they offered us lunch then later found out that we had to pay for those lunches and water they offered to us.

After reading good reviews I expected more. The communication prior to my arrival was poor. I arranged an airport pick up, when I confirmed it became clear to me that they had forgotten. I had to provide my flight info again. The driver was nowhere to be seen upon my arrival. I had to call the B&B from the airport so they could locate the him. The airport pick up was 300.00 IDR which is too much. The advertised WI-FI did not work. As soon as I arrived they told me it usually worked but not that day. I later found out it never worked. I had to use my hotspot, so did the guests next door. That didn't work always.

This is a Homestay. I had known I would not have booked. Owned by a Balinese couple with 3 kids. The youngest is 7 months old and cries a lot. Very little privacy. The 2 rooms rented out are right by the family's private home. The inlaws live there too and there are family and friends over every day so it gets rather crowded and loud. The temple next door has loud prayers in speakers. A terrible smell coming from the sewer in the bathroom, the sink did not work properly in the bathroom, the a/c only covered the corner where it hung on the wall. The room was like an oven and there was no fan. The pillows were very uncomfortable, no international TV channels, the mini fridge in the room was loud. The walls were paper thin, the guests next door sat outside talking and smoking until 2:00 AM and the owners allowed it. A noisy metal gate right outside my room. The roosters woke up at 4:00 AM. Music was played from the temple next door from 5:45 AM and one of the family members from the B&B opened the noisy metal gate daily and started the scooter at 5:45 AM. All the meals are worked around the wife's busy housewife schedule. She is a very good cook but the guests are not priority. When she sleeps in the afternoons the guests have to wait until she wakes up if they want to eat. The same goes for breakfast.

The husband Yoga has mood swings and got angry with me on the last day when I asked why the transportation he had booked for me was so expensive. His driver wanted to change me 300.000 IDR to Ubud which is only 20 mins. from the B&B which is the same price I was charged for the airport pick up 80 mins. away. Yoga totally lost it on me and was being very rude. He told me he could not help me with alternative transportation and if I wasn't happy then to just find my own way or go on the street and wait for someone to take me! He runs a school for the local kids and I happily devoted an afternoon to teach them English. I must admit I was very surprised when he could not help me find alternative transportation to get to my next destination. I ended up having to use the over priced driver's (Yoga's brother in law) service. If you are not prepared to be over charged or be taken advantages of. Make sure you have your own transportation figured out before coming here. If you don't want to use their services they are not going to help with transportation. As long as the guests spend money everything is fine. Just don't question the prices! The B&B rents out scooters, sells food and drinks (no free water in the room) and arranges (overpriced) transportation. I left under very bad terms because I dared to ask about the fare. The B&B is in a remote area and there is not much to do in the immediate area. I did not like the way Yoga spoke to me and I would not return or recommend this place. He is only willing to help the guests if there is something in it for him. His background is cleaning rooms on a cruise ship, he has very little experience when it comes to customer service and this B&B has only been up and running for 6 months. The wife is very nice but the husband runs the show.
